XBOX made five huge ubisoft games free for the weekend

Xbox players, your weekend plans have been cancelled.

Microsoft has opened up five major Ubisoft games for free play through Sunday, October 4, giving players a few days to try them without buying the full games.

And this is not a collection of random titles nobody was planning to play anyway.

The lineup includes:

Far Cry 6.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

The Crew Motorfest.

And yes, even Skull and Bones.

The particularly nice part is that Xbox says these five games can be played during the event without needing a Game Pass subscription.

So if one has been sitting on your “maybe I’ll buy it someday” list for the past three years, this is basically your trial period.

Each game also offers something pretty different.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey gives you a massive Ancient Greece to disappear into, Far Cry 6 brings open world chaos, The Crew Motorfest handles the racing side, while Avatar drops you into Pandora.

And then there is Skull and Bones if your weekend specifically requires piracy.

Progress made during the free period can generally carry over if you decide to buy an eligible title afterward.

Of course, there is one obvious problem.

These are not exactly games you casually finish between Friday night and Sunday afternoon.

Odyssey alone could consume your entire social life.

So maybe do not try all five.Pick one.Download it.Put your phone on DND.

Xbox has already decided what you’re doing this weekend.
