Imagine going to the White House website and finding an arcade. Not a metaphorical arcade. Actual games.
Now imagine one of them is basically Snake, except you’re playing an immigration official and the people you’re collecting are migrants.
Sounds like a weird TikTok concept, right? Except the White House actually launched it.
The new online White House Arcade features five retro-style games inspired by classics like Snake, Tetris and Flappy Bird.
The most controversial are “Rio Run,” where players collect migrants as part of a deportation-themed game, and “Build the Wall,” which turns Trump’s border-wall policy into a Tetris-style game.
The White House says the arcade is a new, interactive way to communicate the administration’s policies and connect with younger audiences.
Critics, however, say turning deportation and immigration into entertainment is dehumanizing and inappropriate.
Either way, it’s a pretty unusual new form of political communication:Trump’s policies… but make them playable.
The White House, meanwhile, appeared unfazed, posting “CAN’T STOP WINNING” on X alongside a link to the games.
