The Weeknd just wrapped the European and UK leg of his massive After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour, and the numbers are huge.
The 42-date run brought in more than $345 million and attracted over 2.3 million fans across 11 countries. But one number stands out for a different reason: the tour raised more than $2.2 million for charity.
The money is going to the United Nations World Food Programme and Global Citizen, with part of the donations coming directly from ticket sales, €1 from every ticket sold in Europe and £1 in the UK.
The tour also generated more than $618 million in economic impact across the UK and France alone, showing just how much a stadium tour can affect more than the music industry.
And Abel Tesfaye isn’t done yet. The After Hours Til Dawn tour heads to Asia on September 19, starting in Tokyo before moving through Jakarta, Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
Basically: millions of fans, hundreds of millions in revenue , and $2.2 million going toward people who need it.
