One goal. One assist. And a Man of the Match award.

Not a bad Wednesday night for Ismaël Saibari.

The Moroccan international delivered a standout performance as Bayern Munich defeated FC Magdeburg 6–1 in the German Cup on October 28.

And he didn’t waste much time making an impact.

Ten munites in ,Saibari was already involved.

The match had barely started when Saibari helped Bayern take the lead.

In the tenth minute, he set up Michael Olise, who opened the scoring for the German champions.

Magdeburg responded five minutes later, bringing the match level at 1–1.

But Saibari wasn’t about to let that last long.

In the 21st minute, Olise returned the favor, delivering the pass that allowed the Moroccan attacker to lift the ball over the goalkeeper and put Bayern back in front.

A goal and an assist before halftime.

Bayern eventually took control of the match, with Olise scoring again and Alphonso Davies, Nathaniel Brown and David Santos Daiber adding their names to the scoresheet.

The final score? 6–1.

And the award went to Saibari.

Despite several strong performances from his teammates, Saibari was named Player of the Match.

His contributions were particularly important in the opening half, when Magdeburg were still challenging Bayern.

For the Moroccan international, the performance also marked his first goal and assist in this season’s German Cup.

Beyond the statistics, it was another reminder of how Moroccan players continue to make their presence felt at major European clubs.

And while Bayern had plenty of goals to celebrate, Saibari left the pitch with individual recognition too.

One night, two direct goal contributions, and one well-earned award.
