If your Notes app currently contains a startup idea you’ve been promising yourself you’ll build “one day,” this might be your sign.
The Morocco Fintech Center and UM6P StartGate are looking for Moroccan fintech startups for the 2026 edition of the FinTech Booster program.
And they’re not only looking for someone with a PowerPoint and a dream.
The program is targeting around 15 to 20 startups at different stages of development, from businesses figuring out how to enter the market to companies already thinking about growth and scaling.
The goal is to help founders navigate one of the hardest industries to break into.
Fintech sounds exciting until you remember that building something involving payments, banking or financial services means dealing with regulation, security, partnerships and an industry where “move fast and break things” is probably not the ideal philosophy.
Programs like this give startups access to mentorship, expertise and an ecosystem that can help turn an interesting product into something people can actually use.
And there’s a bigger story here too.
Morocco’s startup ecosystem is becoming increasingly focused on sectors where young companies could solve very local problems ,from payments and financial inclusion to tools for businesses and digital banking.
Applications close September 24.
So yes, the deadline is basically tomorrow.
