Morocco is preparing for a major summer camp season, with around 210,000 children and teenagers
expected to participate in holiday programs across the country, according to Minister of Youth,
Culture and Communication Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid.
─────────
The initiative aims to provide young people with access to educational, cultural and recreational activities
during the summer break, while promoting values such as citizenship, teamwork and personal development.
─────────
Summer camps have long played an important role in Morocco, offering thousands of children the opportunity
to discover new environments, build social skills and take part in sports, artistic and educational workshops.
─────────
To accommodate the large number of participants, authorities and partner organizations are mobilizing campsites
and youth centers across several regions of the Kingdom, ensuring a diverse range of activities and programs.
─────────
This year’s edition is expected to involve a significant logistical effort, bringing together educators, supervisors
and volunteers to ensure a safe and enriching experience for participants.
─────────
The program also reflects ongoing efforts to expand access to leisure and educational opportunities for young
people from different social backgrounds, particularly during the summer holidays.
─────────
One thing is clear:
with 210,000 expected beneficiaries, Morocco’s summer camp program remains
one of the country’s largest youth-focused initiatives.
