Instagram built an AI that will literally tell you what to post

Running out of content ideas?

Instagram would now like AI to join your brainstorming meeting.

Meta has started rolling out a new AI assistant inside Edits, Instagram’s video creation app, designed specifically to help creators understand what is working on their accounts and figure out what they could make next.

And this is not simply a chatbot throwing random Reel ideas at you.

The assistant can analyse things like views, follows, likes, shares, comments and audience retention, then combine that information with current Instagram trends.

So you can basically ask:

Why did this Reel work?

Why did everyone leave this one after three seconds?

What is my audience actually interested in?

And most importantly:

What should I post next?

The AI can suggest video concepts, hooks, captions, scripts and trending audio based on the creator’s own performance.

Instagram says the point is not to let AI become the creator. The assistant handles the data analysis while the actual creative decisions stay with the person making the content.

For now, the assistant is rolling out to Edits users in the United States, so do not panic if you open the app in Morocco and cannot find it yet.

But the bigger idea is interesting.

Creators have spent years trying to understand Instagram’s algorithm.

Now Instagram is basically building a tool that helps explain what your own numbers are telling you.

Helpful?Absolutely.

Slightly dystopian?Maybe.

The algorithm is becoming your content strategist.
