Casablanca is giving movie night an upgrade.
Ciné sous les étoiles returns from September 18 to 20, bringing three evenings of outdoor cinema to the city , and yes, the screenings are free.
The concept is exactly what the name promises: films, an open sky and a movie-going experience that feels considerably more romantic than arguing over which Netflix title to watch for 45 minutes.
It also taps into something Casablanca needs more of: accessible cultural events where you don’t necessarily need an expensive ticket or a complicated plan to participate.
For younger audiences, outdoor cinema sits somewhere between a cultural event and a social plan. Come for the film, stay for the atmosphere, bring your friends or strategically suggest it to the person you’ve been “just talking to.”
And with three nights of programming, there’s more than one chance to make it happen.
