Elon Musk’s Daughter Just Went Anti-AI — In a Fashion Ad

Vivian Wilson, Elon Musk’s estranged daughter, is the face of Desigual’s new Fall/Winter 2026 campaign, “Born to Disobey” , and the campaign is making waves for its very pointed take on artificial intelligence.

In the campaign film, Wilson is followed around by a humanoid AI robot named DESI 84. Instead of treating it like a helpful assistant, she completely rejects it — using the robot as a golf tee, walking it like a pet and eventually letting it short-circuit under a sprinkler.

The message is pretty clear: technology doesn’t get to replace human creativity.

Wilson has also spoken openly about her concerns that AI could threaten creative jobs and argued that technology can’t reproduce the emotional and human side of art.

But the campaign got an extra layer of internet drama because Wilson’s father, Elon Musk, is one of the world’s biggest advocates for AI through companies including xAI.

At the end of the campaign, Wilson delivers the line:

“Some things can’t be fixed.”

That line has been widely interpreted as a reference not only to the robot, but also to her complicated relationship with her father.

Desigual’s campaign is ultimately about refusing to follow expectations , but with Wilson as its face, the message has become something much bigger online:

AI vs. human creativity. Fashion vs. technology. And, inevitably, Vivian Wilson vs. Elon Musk.
