After years of rumors…
It’s finally happening.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 has officially unveiled its first gameplay trailer, giving fans their first real look at the next chapter of the franchise.
─────────
The trailer introduces an entirely new setting: AGE 1000.
Players will explore a futuristic West City, meet brand-new original characters designed by Akira Toriyama, and create their own warrior to uncover the mysteries of this new era.
─────────
But the biggest surprise…
Is the gameplay.
Bandai Namco showcased new mechanics such as Soul Assist, allowing you to fight alongside iconic Dragon Ball characters, and Soul Switch, which lets you temporarily borrow the powers of legendary fighters during combat.
─────────
Visually…
The game is a major step up.
Improved cutscenes, more detailed environments and smoother animations suggest this could be the most ambitious Xenoverse yet.
─────────
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is currently scheduled for 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
And according to Bandai Namco, this new adventure builds on ideas imagined by Akira Toriyama before his passing, making it one of his final contributions to the Dragon Ball universe.
─────────
For longtime fans…
This isn’t just another sequel.
It’s the beginning of a brand-new era for one of Dragon Ball’s most beloved game series.
─────────
But here’s the real question…
Can Xenoverse 3 become the best Dragon Ball game ever made… or does that title still belong to Budokai Tenkaichi 3?
