Marvel fans, it’s happening.
After months of rumors and mixed signals, Ryan Reynolds has officially confirmed that Deadpool is coming back. The announcement was made during Fanatics Fest 2026, just days before San Diego Comic-Con, where Marvel is expected to reveal several major projects.
But don’t expect Deadpool 4 to be just another sequel.
Reynolds says he wants to dive into some of the most overlooked stories from the comics, bringing characters and storylines that have never made it to the big screen before. Even more interesting, he hinted that Deadpool may work better as part of a team rather than carrying another solo movie.
And that’s where things get really exciting.
For months, insiders have been talking about the possible return of X-Force, the mutant team project that was shelved after Disney acquired Fox. With the X-Men slowly entering the MCU, many fans believe Deadpool could become the bridge between Marvel’s classic heroes and the next generation of mutants.
