Every year,
PlayStation players wait for one thing:
Days of Play.
Sony’s biggest sales event of the year.
And thanks to a new leak,
we may already know what discounts are coming.
—
According to reliable insider billbil-kun,
Days of Play 2026 will reportedly run from May 27 to June 10, covering the period leading up to the major State of Play showcase on June 2.
—
The good news?
Players can expect discounts on:
PS5 games
Headsets
DualSense controllers
PlayStation Plus subscriptions
Various PlayStation accessories
during the event.
—
The bad news?
The PS5 itself appears to be missing.
According to the leak,
there are currently no significant PS5 console discounts planned, despite recent price increases in several regions.
—
And that’s exactly why players are upset.
Many were hoping Sony would lower the price of:
PS5 Slim
PS5 Digital Edition
PS5 Pro
especially with: GTA VI approaching,
Wolverine launching later this year,
and competition becoming stronger.
—
On social media, reactions were immediate.
Many fans point out that gaming has become increasingly expensive in 2026.
Between: $80-$90 games,
PlayStation Plus price increases,
accessories,
and premium editions,
some players were counting on Days of Play to finally make buying a PS5 easier.
—
What’s even more surprising
is that previous Days of Play events often included console promotions.
This year, however, Sony seems focused on software and accessories instead.
—
The timing is also interesting.
Sony is preparing for one of its biggest summers in years with:
Marvel’s Wolverine
State of Play on June 2
Growing GTA VI hype
and a packed second half of 2026.
—
Of course,
these discounts remain based on leaks until Sony makes an official announcement.
But if the information is accurate,
many PlayStation fans may find discounts on games and accessories…
while the console they’ve been waiting to buy stays at full price.
