If you look up in Marrakech this week, there might be a little more happening than usual.

The Marrakech Airshow officially opens today, October 7, bringing aircraft, drones, aerospace technology and some extremely futuristic machines to the city until October 10.

This is the eighth edition of the event, and Morocco’s growing aviation industry is taking centre stage.

Now, before your brain immediately goes to boring conference halls and men in suits talking about supply chains, the actual visual side of this event is much more interesting.

The show brings together aircraft displays, aerospace manufacturers, new technologies and demonstrations, with companies using Marrakech to reveal machinery that looks like it belongs in a video game.

One of this year’s launches comes from INKAS, which is using the event for the regional debut of several security and mobility technologies, including the ANURI unmanned aerial vehicle, basically a drone platform designed for surveillance and other operations.

Morocco has also been steadily building its own aerospace industry over the past years, manufacturing aircraft components and attracting major international companies.

So the Airshow isn’t happening here randomly.

But for everyone who isn’t studying aerospace engineering, there’s a much simpler reason the event deserves attention:

Planes. Huge machines. Drones. Things flying over Marrakech.

Very hard to make that boring.

The Marrakech Airshow runs from October 7 to 10, so expect your feed to suddenly start looking like someone unlocked the aviation expansion pack.

Marrakech really said fashion festivals, cinema festivals and now fighter jets.

Hollywood’s family tree has somehow become even more confusing.

The acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery by Paramount has officially closed, creating a new entertainment giant called Skydance.

Translation: an absurd amount of the stuff you watch now belongs to the same company.

We’re talking Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, HBO, CBS, CNN, HBO Max, Paramount+, TNT Sports and a huge catalogue of franchises suddenly sitting under one corporate roof.

Which means yes, the company behind Harry Potter, DC, HBO shows and Warner Bros. movies is now connected to the company behind Paramount’s films, CBS programming and franchises like Mission: Impossible.

Totally normal amount of entertainment power for one building.

The newly combined Skydance says it plans to release at least 30 theatrical films every year and produce more than 180 television shows and series, while aiming for billions of dollars in savings over the next few years.

But for viewers, the biggest question is probably much simpler:

What happens to HBO Max and Paramount+?

For now, both streaming services still exist separately, so nobody needs to delete an app today.

But the merger puts both platforms under the same company and gives Skydance a massive streaming library while it tries to compete with Netflix, Disney and YouTube.

It’s another reminder that the streaming era keeps doing something nobody expected when it started.

We left cable because there were too many packages. Then every studio created its own app.

Now all the apps are slowly finding each other again. We may have reinvented cable with better thumbnails.

Manal has played big stages before. But on November 21, 2026, she is planning something on a completely different scale.

The Moroccan artist is taking over Casablanca’s Mohammed V Complex for what is being presented as the biggest show of her career so far, bringing the spectacle home after years of building a musical and visual universe that has travelled far beyond Morocco.

And this won’t be Manal, a microphone and a regular concert setup.

The show is being designed around her world, with live musicians, major visuals, lighting and purpose built staging. The setlist is also expected to move through different periods of her career, giving longtime listeners and newer fans a little bit of everything.

There is another detail Manal is keeping secret.

Several surprise artists are expected to join her onstage.

Who? She isn’t saying yet.

That mystery will probably stay part of the conversation until show night, especially considering how many Moroccan and international artists Manal has crossed paths with throughout her career.

But the scale of the night is already the bigger story.

For a Moroccan artist to build her biggest career show in Casablanca, rather than treating Morocco as a smaller stop between international dates, makes November 21 feel like more than another concert.

It is a homecoming, but with the volume turned all the way up.

Casa, Manal is coming home. And she’s bringing her biggest stage with her.

At this point, Ed Sheeran’s opening-act situation has had more plot twists than some TV shows.

Now there is another one.

Isaac Slade, the former frontman of The Fray, unexpectedly opened for Sheeran in Atlanta, giving the Loop Tourits first new support act after weeks of very public departures.

And yes, we are talking about the voice behind “How to Save a Life.”

If you have been following this story, the tour’s support lineup has been falling apart for weeks.

It began when Macklemore was removed from the remaining dates following his pro-Palestinian statements onstage. After that, FINNEAS, Aaron Rowe and Lukas Graham all announced they would no longer continue with the tour.

Irish band Beoga, who were also scheduled to perform with Sheeran during his own set, stepped away too.

Sheeran maintained that he would not cancel the tour, saying he did not want to abandon fans who had already made travel plans or the crew and musicians whose livelihoods depended on the shows continuing.

For at least one date, the opener problem now has an answer.

Slade appeared before Sheeran’s Atlanta performance on Saturday, marking an unexpected return to a huge stage after leaving The Fray in 2022.

Whether he is sticking around is another question.

There has been no confirmation that Slade will become the permanent replacement for the remaining dates.

So yes, Ed Sheeran finally found an opener.

For one night, at least.

We need to talk about what is happening at Zara.

Because somehow, $999 Zara now exists.

Designer John Galliano has teamed up with Zara for a special project called Re{form}, where existing Zara clothes are taken apart, redesigned and turned into completely new pieces.

Basically, Galliano was given Zara clothes and told to do his thing.

And he definitely did.

The collection is full of dramatic silhouettes, reconstructed dresses, oversized pieces and the kind of details you would normally expect from a designer runway rather than your usual Zara visit.

The prices are also very different from your usual Zara visit.

One chiffon dress costs around $999, while a faux fur coat reaches roughly $759.

Yes.

We are still talking about Zara.

Part of the idea behind Re{form} is to work with clothes that already exist instead of simply producing another completely new collection. Galliano takes those pieces and transforms them using the techniques and dramatic design language he is known for.

And apparently people are into it.

According to Vogue, around 41.5 percent of the wider online collection had already sold out early.

The collaboration also raises an obvious question.

Designer collaborations with high street brands usually give people a chance to buy into luxury fashion without paying full luxury prices.

But when a Zara dress starts approaching $1,000, where exactly is the line between high street and luxury anymore?

Whatever the answer is, people are buying it.

So apparently “I got it from Zara” can now require a much longer explanation.

Anime fans, the pharmacist has returned.

The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 premieres today, October 2, bringing Maomao back for another round of medicine, mysteries, palace drama and people somehow still thinking they can poison someone without her noticing.

Have they learned nothing?

The anime follows Maomao, a young apothecary whose extremely specific knowledge of medicine and poisons keeps pulling her into mysteries inside the imperial palace.

She would probably prefer everyone leave her alone with her experiments.

Unfortunately, she is far too good at solving problems.

Season 2 pushed the story much further into the politics surrounding the palace while developing Maomao’s relationship with Jinshi and revealing more about the characters around them.

Now Season 3 picks things back up as those mysteries continue getting bigger.

The series has become one of anime’s biggest recent success stories without needing giant monsters, magical tournaments or somebody screaming the name of their attack for five minutes.

Instead, we get medical mysteries, political manipulation, slow burn romance and Maomao looking deeply disappointed in almost everyone around her.

Honestly, relatable.

The new season is streaming through Crunchyroll, with availability covering Africa and the Middle East, meaning Moroccan viewers are included in the rollout.

And it arrives during an unnecessarily busy anime weekend.

Black Clover returns October 3, followed by Aoashi Season 2 on October 4.

So if you had productive plans this weekend, congratulations.

You no longer do.

Maomao is back. Act accordingly.

Ten years ago, MOGA started bringing electronic music to Essaouira.

Now it is coming home for its birthday.

MOGA Festival officially begins today, September 30, with a five day anniversary edition running across Essaouira until October 4.

And before you immediately start thinking about festival tickets, the first part is actually open to everyone.

September 30 and October 1 are dedicated to MOGA OFF, two days of free events spread across the city.

That means DJ sets, workshops, surfing, yoga, cultural activities and other events happening around Essaouira before the main festival even begins.

Then things get significantly louder.

From October 2 to 4, MOGA IN takes over Hôtel Le Golf d’Essaouira & Spa with four stages and a lineup mixing international electronic names with Moroccan artists.

Jamie Jones, ANOTR and The Martinez Brothers are among the major names announced for the anniversary edition.

But MOGA has always been about more than putting DJs on a stage.

Since launching in Essaouira in 2016, the festival has built its identity around the city itself, mixing electronic music with surf culture, wellness, art and the atmosphere that already makes Essaouira one of Morocco’s most recognisable cultural destinations.

The concept eventually travelled outside Morocco too, with MOGA launching editions in Portugal.

But ten years later, the birthday celebration is happening where everything started.

Essaouira, your very loud week begins now.

Paris Fashion Week started yesterday.

Céline Dion apparently decided it needed a proper opening ceremony.

L’Oréal Paris held its annual Le Défilé show near the Eiffel Tower on Monday night, bringing together fashion, beauty and a long list of the brand’s famous ambassadors.

Kendall Jenner walked. Jane Fonda walked. Eva Longoria, Viola Davis and Andie MacDowell were there too.

Then the runway went quiet.

Céline Dion appeared in a black strapless gown with the Eiffel Tower behind her and started performing “I’m Alive.”

Yes, that I’m Alive.

The performance was kept as the big surprise at the end of the evening, with Dion eventually joined onstage by L’Oréal’s ambassadors.

It was also impossible not to think about another huge Paris moment.

In 2024, Dion made her highly anticipated return to live performance at the Paris Olympics, singing from the Eiffel Tower. Two years later, she was back beneath the landmark for another major public appearance.

Le Défilé is different from the traditional invitation only fashion show. L’Oréal turns the event into a public spectacle, combining runway looks with beauty and celebrity culture while streaming it to audiences around the world.

But this year, the clothes were never going to get the final word.

Céline Dion singing “I’m Alive” underneath the Eiffel Tower?

Fashion Week could have started normally.

She clearly had other plans.

Milan has officially handed over the fashion week group chat.

Paris Fashion Week starts today, bringing another round of collections, celebrities, questionable outfits and screenshots that will inevitably end up on everyone’s Pinterest boards.

And L’Oréal Paris is starting things very loudly.

The beauty giant is bringing back Le Défilé, its huge public fashion and beauty show, this time at Place Joffre near the Eiffel Tower.

Yes, an actual runway in front of one of the most recognisable landmarks on Earth.

The guest list is equally subtle.

L’Oréal ambassadors including Kendall Jenner, Viola Davis, Cara Delevingne, Eva Longoria, Jane Fonda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are expected to be part of the event.

Unlike most fashion week shows, where getting inside requires an invitation, industry connections or possibly being someone’s extremely well dressed cousin, Le Défilé is designed as a public spectacle and will also be streamed online.

The event mixes fashion with beauty, putting makeup and hair looks at the centre of the runway instead of treating them as background details.

It also gives us our first major visual moment of Paris Fashion Week before the schedule really gets chaotic.

And there is plenty coming.

Over the next few days, Paris will become the centre of the fashion internet as major houses reveal their latest collections and celebrities begin appearing in front rows.

So prepare your feeds.

Fashion month has entered its final boss level.

There was a time when buying a water bottle involved one question:Does it hold water? Very simple. Beautiful era.

Now your water bottle has seasonal colours, limited-edition drops, celebrity collaborations and enough online discourse to qualify for its own Fashion Week.

Welcome to the era where literally everything is becoming fashion.

Brands selling everyday products  from water bottles and headphones to pet accessories, home products and even laundry detergent are increasingly borrowing the same strategy fashion brands perfected years ago.

Make it aesthetic. Make several colours. Release limited editions. Collaborate with someone cool. Create scarcity. Make TikTok want it.

Suddenly, you’re not replacing your bottle because the old one broke.

You’re replacing it because the new colourway dropped.

Stanley is probably the most obvious example. What was once a practical drinkware company became an internet status symbol through collectible colours, limited drops and collaborations.

But the bigger trend goes far beyond one cup.

Gen Z grew up in an internet where practically everything becomes part of your personal aesthetic. Your headphones say something. Your phone case says something. Your tote bag says something. Apparently, the bottle sitting next to your laptop needs lore too.

It’s fashion logic applied to ordinary life.

And brands have realised something extremely useful:

If an object becomes part of someone’s identity, people don’t need one anymore.

They can collect it.

Apparently, picking a water bottle now requires the same energy as picking an outfit.

Morocco and Egypt might have found one of the best musical link-ups in the region ,and Spotify has receipts.

Spotify Arabia and Spotify Morocco have highlighted four Egyptian × Moroccan collaborations their editors agree deserve a spot in your rotation, putting the growing connection between both music scenes front and centre.

And the list is pretty stacked.

There’s Wegz and ElGrandeToto on “Msh Khalsa,” bringing together two of North Africa’s biggest rap names. Marwan Moussa links up with Stormy on “DOUBLEZUKSH,” while Egyptian rock giants Cairokee team up with Moroccan artist Sara Moullablad for “Nefsy Ahebak.”

Then there’s Tawsen and Fares Sokar with “Estanna,” adding another Morocco-Egypt crossover to the mix.

Different artists. Different sounds. Same increasingly obvious pattern.

Moroccan and Egyptian music scenes aren’t operating in separate bubbles anymore.

A listener in Casablanca can have Egyptian rap, Moroccan hip-hop, French drill, Afrobeat and American R&B living peacefully inside the same playlist. Spotify, YouTube and TikTok have made borders increasingly irrelevant to how younger audiences discover Arabic music.

And artists are starting to reflect that.

Morocco has built one of the region’s most exciting rap and alternative scenes, while Egypt has a massive audience and an equally influential music ecosystem. When artists from both countries collaborate, they’re not simply combining sounds ,they’re connecting two huge youth cultures.

For years, “going international” for North African artists often meant looking toward Paris, London or the US.

Maybe the next big move is closer to home.

Casablanca × Cairo is already sounding pretty good.

Marrakech is getting a new exhibition, and this one sits somewhere between photography, history, travel and fashion-world aesthetics.

The Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech is opening “In the Footsteps of Odette du Puigaudeau,” an exhibition dedicated to the French explorer, ethnologist and writer whose life took her across the Sahara before eventually bringing her to Morocco.

Opening on October 3, the exhibition brings together more than 200 photographs, drawings, manuscripts, objects and archival documents tracing her journeys and work.

And honestly, the setting couldn’t make more sense.

The Musée Yves Saint Laurent has always existed at the intersection of fashion and Moroccan cultural history, so an exhibition built around travel, landscapes, documentation and visual archives fits naturally into the space.

Du Puigaudeau spent years travelling through Mauritania and the Sahara during a period when women undertaking expeditions of that scale were extremely rare. Alongside her partner Marion Sénones, she documented communities, landscapes and everyday life through writing, drawings and photography.

She would later settle in Rabat, where she spent the final years of her life.

For visitors, though, this isn’t necessarily the kind of exhibition where you need to arrive knowing her entire biography. The hundreds of archival pieces create their own visual journey through another era of North African and Saharan history.

Basically, if your idea of a Marrakech afternoon involves YSL, photography, beautiful archives and pretending you’re extremely cultured for two hours, your October plans are beginning to write themselves.

Imagine arriving at the function and three people are wearing your exact outfit.

Beauty edition.

Fenty Skin recently revealed its new Dew N Plump Fresh-Sliced Hydrogel Eye Patches, and the product immediately got attention because the packaging is ridiculously satisfying.

Instead of opening a jar and fishing out slippery eye patches, the container dispenses them individually using a mechanism that basically “slices” a fresh hydrogel patch when you need one.

Cute. Different. Very TikTok-able.

And then things got funny.

Glow Recipe revealed a very similar eye-patch concept. Then Huda Beauty entered the conversation with one too.

Suddenly, beauty internet was looking at three major brands launching remarkably similar concepts around almost the same time.

Naturally, the jokes started immediately.

But this isn’t some confirmed beauty-industry war. None of this proves that one brand copied another, and similar packaging concepts already exist within K-beauty.

Fenty itself seems to understand how funny the timing looks.

Instead of turning the situation into serious drama, the brand leaned into the joke with a post about pulling up somewhere and finding your friends wearing the same outfit.

Central Cee has officially added “Burberry model” to a résumé that was already doing pretty well.

The British rapper made his runway debut for Burberry during London Fashion Week, walking in Daniel Lee’s latest collection and giving us one of those fashion moments that somehow feels surprising and completely obvious at the same time.

Because, really, Central Cee and Burberry were always going to find each other.

The collection leaned heavily into British culture, mixing Burberry’s very polished heritage with something younger, messier and more connected to the streets. Central Cee fits right into that world. His style has been part of his image since the beginning, from tracksuits and puffer jackets to luxury pieces that still somehow look like something he would actually wear.

And his runway appearance says something bigger about fashion right now.

Rappers aren’t simply being invited to sit front row anymore. They’re walking the shows, starring in campaigns, collaborating with designers and becoming part of the identity of luxury houses.

For Burberry, putting one of the biggest names in UK rap on the runway is an easy way to speak to a younger audience without forcing it.

For Central Cee?

Another side quest successfully completed.

From making tracks in West London to casually walking Burberry at Fashion Week, the plot continues.

Being an anime fan apparently wasn’t expensive enough already.

Nike is bringing One Piece into the sneaker world with a new Air Max Plus collection inspired by the anime’s legendary Devil Fruits ,and some of the pairs arrive this week.

Instead of doing the predictable thing and putting giant character illustrations across the shoes, Nike went a little deeper into the One Piece universe.

The sneakers take inspiration from Devil Fruits including the Gomu Gomu no Mi, associated with Luffy, alongside the Mera Mera no Mi and Ope Ope no Mi. Their powers and colors are translated into different Air Max Plus designs, with references that fans will probably notice immediately while everyone else simply sees a very loud pair of sneakers.

The Gomu Gomu version is especially hard to miss, arriving in purple with bright green details.

And honestly, collaborations like this say a lot about where anime sits culturally now.

Anime merch used to mean a graphic T-shirt from a convention. Now some of the biggest fashion and sneaker companies in the world are treating anime franchises like major cultural properties worthy of full collections.

One Piece, already one of the biggest franchises on the planet, getting the Nike treatment feels inevitable.

The SNKRS rollout starts this week, although availability differs depending on the country.

Good luck to the sneakerheads.

And even better luck to the One Piece fans who are about to discover sneaker resale prices.

What started as a change to an opening act somehow turned into one of the biggest music conversations of the month.

After days of artists dropping out of his Loop Tour and questions surrounding Macklemore’s removal, Ed Sheeran has finally addressed the situation publicly.

During his Philadelphia show, Sheeran spoke about Gaza, describing the situation there as “catastrophic and unjustifiable,” while also addressing the controversy surrounding his tour.

The drama began after Macklemore was removed from upcoming dates following pro-Palestinian comments onstage. Sheeran has said the decision wasn’t his and came from the tour promoter.

Then came the domino effect.

FINNEAS, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe and Beoga all pulled out of upcoming dates, with several citing the situation surrounding Macklemore and Palestine.

Despite basically losing his support lineup, Sheeran has made one thing clear: the tour is continuing.

What started with one artist leaving the lineup has now become a much bigger conversation about Palestine, artists speaking politically onstage and how much control venues and promoters should have over what performers can say.

This tour was supposed to be about the music.

It has become about a lot more than that.

If Mulberry hasn’t been on your fashion radar recently, Christopher Kane would like a word.

The British brand returned to the London Fashion Week runway for its first show in six years, with Kane presenting his debut collection for the house.

And he didn’t just bring back the handbags everyone remembers.

Kane went digging through Mulberry’s history and transformed some of its most recognizable codes into an entire wardrobe. The iconic Bayswater bag influenced leather dresses and silhouettes, while the brand’s countryside heritage even inspired shoes featuring tiny axe-shaped heels.

Yes, axe heels.

Very Christopher Kane.

The collection mixed British uniforms, subcultures, leather and archival references without feeling like Mulberry was simply trying to recreate its 2000s glory days.

And that’s what makes the comeback interesting.

Fashion is currently obsessed with resurrecting old It bags and forgotten brands. But Mulberry isn’t just trying to make the Bayswater cool again.

It wants to become an It brand again.

And after this show, it might actually be working.

Casablanca has L’Boulevard. Tangier has officially entered jazz mode.

The 23rd edition of Tanjazz begins today, September 18, turning Tangier into one of Morocco’s main cultural destinations for the weekend.

Running through September 20, the festival brings together jazz with sounds ranging from soul and funk to flamenco and Cuban music, continuing Tanjazz’s tradition of treating “jazz” as a starting point rather than a strict genre rule.

And opening night already has plenty going on.

The programme includes internationally recognized performers such as Dee Dee Bridgewater and Rodrigo y Gabriela, alongside Gisele Jackson & The Brooklyn Souls, The Haggis Horns and other musicians spread across the festival’s stages.

But Tanjazz isn’t designed to exist only behind ticket barriers.

Part of the festival spills into Tangier itself through public performances and activities, including free programming around the city. That gives it a different energy from simply attending a concert: for three days, the festival becomes part of the atmosphere of Tangier.

And the timing couldn’t be better for Morocco’s cultural calendar.

While L’Boulevard is simultaneously taking over Casablanca, Tanjazz gives people in the north a completely different soundtrack for the same weekend.

If your algorithm has convinced you that Moroccan music events begin and end with rap festivals, this weekend is a pretty good reminder that the country’s live scene is much wider than that.

Casa has the mosh pits. Tangier has the jazz clubs. Morocco has plans.

Generative AI has already entered music, movies, advertising and our Instagram feeds.

Now it has a London Fashion Week invitation.

H&M teamed up with legendary fashion photographer Nick Knight and SHOWstudio for H&M&YOU&I, an interactive project exploring what happens when traditional fashion imagery meets generative artificial intelligence.

Importantly, the project didn’t begin by simply typing a prompt into an image generator.

Models were first photographed traditionally, while other imagery was created through illustration. Those real-world visuals were then fed into an AI-driven system that transformed them into moving, interactive imagery.

The unusual part was that the finished visuals weren’t completely static either.

They could respond to the movements of models and audience members, essentially turning fashion photography into something people could interact with rather than simply look at.

Knight has argued that AI should be understood as another tool available to creatives rather than something designed to replace photographers, designers or artists.

And that’s where this becomes more interesting than another “brand uses AI” headline.

Fashion is currently having the same argument as almost every creative industry: where does using AI as a tool end and replacing human creativity begin?

H&M’s experiment sits directly in the middle of that conversation.

For some people, interactive AI fashion imagery represents a genuinely new creative medium. For others, seeing another major brand embrace generative AI will raise questions about jobs, originality and what happens to human-made imagery as the technology improves.

ither way, H&M managed to create something every Fashion Week brand wants:

a show people are still arguing about after it ended.

Sydney Sweeney’s latest campaign didn’t just trigger angry comments.

People actually hit unfollow.

The actress recently appeared in a provocative advertising campaign for sports-prediction platform Novig, with images showing Sweeney nearly nude while sports equipment strategically covered her body.

The campaign quickly became the latest Sydney Sweeney-related internet debate, but some of the strongest criticism came from female athletes, who questioned why an advertising campaign connected to sports relied so heavily on sexualizing a woman’s body.

As that conversation spread across social media, something measurable started happening on Sweeney’s Instagram account.

Social Blade figures cited by media reports indicated that the actress lost roughly 205,000 followers across two daysduring the backlash.

That’s a huge number on paper, although context matters.

Sweeney has an audience of more than 25 million Instagram followers, meaning the loss represented less than 1% of her total following. Subsequent tracking also indicated that she began regaining a significant number of followers.

So this isn’t exactly the internet collectively abandoning Sydney Sweeney.

What makes the story interesting is how clearly it shows the relationship between celebrity controversy and actual audience behavior. People weren’t only posting takes, quote-tweeting the campaign or arguing about it on TikTok.

Thousands were actively deciding they didn’t want her on their feeds anymore.

In the attention economy, outrage is usually difficult to measure.

This time, it came with analytics.

Plot twist in the French luxury universe:

L’Oréal is now worth more than LVMH.

The beauty giant overtook the owner of Louis Vuitton, Dior, Fendi and Givenchy to become France’s most valuable publicly listed company, ending the trading day at around €203 billion, compared with roughly €201-202 billion for LVMH.

Which sounds like finance news until you look at why.

LVMH has been struggling with the global luxury slowdown, particularly weaker demand connected to China, while L’Oréal has been holding up much better.

And part of the explanation being discussed is something economists call the “lipstick effect.”

Basically: when people feel broke, they might reconsider spending thousands on a handbag…

but a lipstick, perfume or skincare product can still feel like an affordable little luxury.

And the stock market is currently giving us a pretty dramatic illustration of that difference.

L’Oréal shares are up this year.LVMH shares have fallen sharply.

In this economy, the handbag stays on the wishlist. The lip gloss goes in the cart

Dating apps were already hard enough.

Now imagine spending weeks flirting with someone, buying virtual coins just to keep talking to them and maybe even getting emotionally attached…

only to discover your situationship was basically ChatGPT with a profile picture.

Security researchers have uncovered a surprisingly sophisticated network of dating apps using AI-generated personas to convince users they were talking to real people.

Apps including Dora, Romi and Doni reportedly used thousands of fake personas capable of chatting around the clock, sending messages and keeping users engaged , while the apps encouraged them to spend money on virtual currency to continue conversations.

And this wasn’t some tiny operation.

Researchers identified more than 4,700 AI personas, interacting with around 25,000 users and sending 2.36 million messages in just two weeks.

The whole thing was apparently built like an actual tech company, with growth plans, payment systems and tools designed to help the apps pass app-store reviews.

So yes.

Catfishing has officially received a software update.

At this point, before falling in love online, apparently we also need to ask:

Now, 23 years later, Madonna is officially returning to perform on the VMAs stage ,and she’s opening the entire show.

It will be her first VMAs performance since the infamous 2003 performance where she kissed Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera onstage and casually created one of the most replayed award-show moments of the 2000s.

This time, Madonna will perform music from Confessions II when the VMAs take place on September 27 in Los Angeles.

And if anyone knows how to make the VMAs feel like an EVENT, it’s her.

Her history with the ceremony goes all the way back to rolling around the stage performing Like a Virgin in 1984, followed by Vogue in 1990 and then… well…

2003 happened.

Fashion Month has officially changed time zones.

London Fashion Week starts today, September 17, immediately taking over after New York and running until Monday, September 21.

And the schedule is BUSY.

This season brings 47 runway shows, 23 presentations, 10 digital activations and 53 evening events, mixing major British names with emerging designers and BFC NEWGEN talent.

London has always been Fashion Month’s slightly weirder sibling ,less afraid of experimentation, emerging designers and clothes that make you go:

“I would never wear that… wait, why do I suddenly want it?”

So after New York gave us maximalism, celebrity runway appearances and enough street style to destroy everyone’s Pinterest algorithm, attention now moves across the Atlantic.

Paris and Milan, you’re next.

If your playlist still has Usher, Nelly, Aaliyah and Destiny’s Child on rotation, you might want to keep Thursday night free.

Old School Vibes is coming to Casablanca on September 17, bringing its throwback mix of ’90s and 2000s Hip-Hop and R&B to the city.

The Casablanca stop is set to take over Skybar Casablanca for a special Terrace Edition, with DJ CHANGE, DJ QT and DJ CHICO G behind the decks for what the organizers are calling “The Magic 3.”

And the concept is pretty simple: no pretending you don’t know every word when Yeah! comes on.

Old School Vibes is built entirely around the era that gave us oversized jerseys, low-rise jeans, flip phones, music videos on MTV and some of R&B and Hip-Hop’s most recognizable tracks.

Expect music from the worlds of Usher, Aaliyah, Nelly, Destiny’s Child, 50 Cent, Sisqó and plenty more from the late ’90s and 2000s.

Basically, it’s the playlist your older siblings grew up with — and the one Gen Z somehow brought back.

The timing makes sense. Y2K culture has spent the last few years taking over fashion, TikTok and pop culture, while songs released more than two decades ago regularly find completely new audiences online.

Now Casablanca gets the party version.

Casablanca forts, Rabat next.

The Casablanca edition takes place Thursday, September 17 at Skybar, before Old School Vibes heads to Rabat on Friday, September 18.

For Casa, the terrace setting gives the night a slightly different vibe from the usual club throwback party: open air, city views and several hours of unapologetic 2000s nostalgia.

So if hearing the first three seconds of an old Usher song is enough to unlock a memory you didn’t know you had, you already know where this is going.

New York Fashion Week came for clothes and somehow left with beef, protesters and the CEO of the CFDA apologising for physically intervening at a fashion show.

So… normal fashion week behaviour.

The drama happened during COS’s NYFW show, when PETA protesters disrupted the event to protest the brand’s use of wool.

Videos from the show captured Steven Kolb, CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), physically restraining two protesters.

And once those clips reached the internet, the conversation quickly stopped being about clothes.

Kolb later acknowledged that his reaction was inappropriate, saying that incidents like this should be handled by security rather than by him. The CFDA made a similar statement.

PETA, meanwhile, defended the protest and said it was targeting the wool industry over animal-welfare concerns. COS said the safety of attendees remained its priority.

The incident quickly divided people within fashion: some criticised the protesters’ methods, while others argued that Kolb’s response crossed a line.

And somehow, this wasn’t even the entire Fashion Week.

The Spring/Summer 2027 season eventually closed with Thom Browne at The Shed, after a week that included major designers, new names, parties, AI experiments and enough fashion discourse to keep everyone’s group chats employed.

NYFW gave us clothes.

The internet chose chaos.

As usual.

Dadju has beef with TikTok , and this time it has nothing to do with a dance challenge.

The French-Congolese singer has criticised the platform’s influence on the music industry, arguing that TikTok hasn’t just changed how we discover songs , it’s changing how artists make them.

His assessment was not particularly subtle:

« TikTok, pour moi,a détérioré la musique »

Dadju’s argument is that listeners increasingly consume one specific part of a song instead of sitting through the entire track.

And artists know it.

Songs that might once have comfortably lasted four minutes are becoming shorter, hooks arrive faster and certain sections can be deliberately designed with one goal in mind:

please, algorithm, pick me.

TikTok has undeniably become one of the biggest engines of music discovery. A random 15-second clip can revive a decade-old song, turn an unknown artist into a global name or send a track flying up Spotify charts.

Great for discovery.

Potentially weird for songwriting.

Because if every artist is trying to create the 15 seconds people will use for an outfit transition, what happens to the other three minutes?

Dadju believes the pressure is affecting both the variety and quality of contemporary music, although he also acknowledges that talented artists and strong records obviously still exist.

And whether you agree with him or not, he has opened up a genuinely interesting question.

TikTok used to follow music trends.

Now, are musicians following TikTok trends?

Because if the bridge disappeared so we could get another sped-up chorus…

Casablanca, cancel whatever you were pretending you had planned for Thursday.

L’Boulevard officially returns tomorrow, September 17, and the festival is wasting absolutely no time.

Day one is dedicated to Rap and Hip-Hop, with Dizzy Dros, Figoshin, BO9AL and DJ Fly taking over the R.U.C. Stadium in Casablanca.

And yes: Entry is free.

The festival opens from 4 PM, with the Souk and parallel activities getting underway before the evening performances.

But the established names aren’t the only reason to go.

L’Boulevard’s Tremplin is also back, giving seven emerging Rap/Hip-Hop acts a chance to perform in front of a festival crowd.

That means tomorrow isn’t only about seeing some of the biggest names in Moroccan rap.

You might also accidentally see one of the next ones before everybody starts pretending they knew them first.

For Dizzy Dros, the appearance is particularly fitting.

The Casablanca rapper returns to L’Boulevard after previous appearances in 2013 and 2019, this time following the release of his 2026 album AFLAM. He’s also performing with a live band.

Very much a “Casablanca rapper returning home” situation.

And Rap Day is only the beginning.

L’Boulevard runs September 17-20, bringing together rap, metal, fusion and alternative music alongside the festival’s famous Souk and emerging-artist programme.

But tomorrow?Tomorrow belongs to Moroccan rap.

See you in the crowd pretending you didn’t lose your friends 11 minutes after arriving.

At this point, Zendaya doesn’t attend red carpets. She collects them.

The actress arrived at the 2026 Emmys in a crystal-covered Prada look that immediately became one of the night’s biggest fashion moments ,because apparently showing up normally has never been part of the Zendaya-Law Roach strategy.

The shimmering gown delivered exactly the kind of high-glamour, screenshot-now-save-for-later energy that turns an awards-show outfit into a full Pinterest moodboard by morning.

But the dress wasn’t the only reason people were paying attention.

Zendaya attended alongside Tom Holland in another relatively rare public appearance for the famously private couple, instantly giving the internet two things it loves in one frame: a Zendaya fashion moment and Tomdaya content.

Her beauty look also leaned into some of the trends dominating fashion right now, from statement nails to the continued revival of thinner brows.

Of course, none of this is accidental. Zendaya and longtime stylist Law Roach have spent years turning red-carpet dressing into storytelling. Whether she’s referencing a character, a film or an entire fashion era, the outfit usually becomes part of the event rather than simply something she wore to it.

The Emmys were no exception.

Another carpet, another Zendaya look headed straight into the group chat.

Pinterest girls, you know what to do.

Small X is back with new music, bringing one of the most recognizable names in Moroccan rap back into the conversation.

After years of shaping Morocco’s hip-hop scene with Shayfeen, Small X has continued building his own sound as a solo artist. His latest project is putting his name back on the radar and giving fans something new to talk about.

For anyone who followed the evolution of Moroccan rap, Small X is not just another artist dropping music. His history with Shayfeen helped define an entire era of Moroccan hip-hop, making every new release feel like part of a bigger story.

And now the question is simple: did Small X just give Moroccan rap another moment?

New York Fashion Week just turned into a full-on pop culture crossover.

Rosalía, Tate McRae, Sadie Sink and Teyana Taylor were among the stars spotted at Calvin Klein’s latest show in New York, bringing together music, film and fashion in one very celebrity-heavy front row.

And honestly, this is what NYFW looks like now: less “who are the designers?” and more “wait, why are all my favorite celebrities in the same room?”

For Gen Z, fashion week has become just as much about the guest list, street style and viral moments as the clothes themselves. One celebrity look can become the internet’s next obsession before the runway show has even ended.

L’Boulevard returns to Casablanca from September 17 to 20, bringing together Morocco’s alternative music scene across hip-hop, rock, metal and other urban sounds.

The festival has become one of the biggest platforms for discovering Moroccan artists outside the mainstream, giving emerging musicians a space to perform in front of a massive young audience.

For Gen Z, it’s more than another festival. It’s where you go to discover the artist your friends will pretend they knew first.

Sydney Sweeney is once again at the center of an advertising controversy.

The actress is facing backlash over a new campaign for sports prediction platform Novig, in which she appears in a provocative sports-themed shoot. The campaign has drawn criticism from female athletes, including Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus, who argued that the imagery risks sexualizing women in sport.

Sweeney has pushed back against the criticism, highlighting famous female athletes who have also posed nude or in provocative shoots.

But the bigger conversation goes beyond one campaign. Sweeney has already been at the center of major advertising debates, raising a question that feels increasingly relevant to the internet: is controversy becoming part of the marketing strategy?

The ad is basically the perfect internet debate :empowerment, objectification, rage bait and celebrity marketing all rolled into one.

What if your next job application came… as a cake?

A TikTok is going viral after a Gen Z job seeker reportedly turned her resume into a baked cake and handed it to a potential employer. Instead of sending another PDF that disappears into an inbox, she literally made her CV something the recruiter couldn’t ignore.

And TikTok is loving it.

The video sparked a wave of reactions from people joking that they’re ready to abandon traditional applications altogether. Others are sharing their own increasingly creative ideas for getting noticed, with the underlying message being pretty clear: Gen Z is done applying quietly.

With competitive job markets and hundreds of applications for a single position, standing out has become part of the application itself. That increasingly means turning the job hunt into something visual, funny and — very TikTok-able.

The question is: Is this actually creative networking, or are job applications officially becoming content?

After days of teasing, Manal Benchlikha has finally released “FORAS”, her latest single, and the song is taking a different approach to the classic breakup track.

“FORAS,” meaning “chances,” looks at what happens after a relationship has already been given too many chances. Instead of focusing on heartbreak, anger or wanting someone back, Manal tells the story from the other side: the moment you finally stop looking back.

The song explores disappointment, emotional distance and the decision to walk away when there is simply nothing left to save. Manal has also described the experience as a personal one, reflecting on giving people more chances than they deserved before realizing that choosing yourself can sometimes mean letting go completely.

Released on September 11, “FORAS” had already been heavily teased across Manal’s social media, building anticipation around the track before its full release.

And maybe that’s what makes the song hit differently: it’s not a breakup anthem about missing someone. It’s about being done.

Manal is turning the “one last chance” story into a new chapter ,and the title pretty much says it all.

Jennifer Lawrence has finally entered the Instagram era , and she is already considering quitting.

The Oscar-winning actress joined Instagram under @jlaw after years of keeping a low profile online. But in her very first video, Lawrence made one thing clear: if people start being negative or mean, she’s gone.

She even followed it up on Stories with a joke asking people to protect “the baby” :  herself.

The internet, naturally, loved the combination of celebrity status, anxiety and extremely online humor.

Lawrence’s Instagram debut is already becoming a perfect example of how celebrities are approaching social media differently: less polished PR, more personality and a lot more self-awareness.

Gen Z is using AI to answer a very important question: What would I have looked like in the 1980s?

A new trend is taking over Instagram and X, with users uploading modern photos and using AI tools to transform themselves into full retro versions : from oversized hairstyles and vintage outfits to old-school photography, film grain and classic 1980s settings.

The trend has become so widespread that public figures have joined in too, with several sharing their own retro transformations. Some are even skipping AI altogether and posting their actual 1980s photos.

It’s nostalgia, but with a 2026 twist: instead of finding an old photo of yourself, you can just ask AI to invent the entire decade for you.

A new tour? New music? All five members back together?

Not quite.

The group announced The Singles Collection, a massive 14-disc box set celebrating 30 years of their debut album Spice. It will include their singles, B-sides, new anniversary messages and previously unreleased demos.

So technically, it is big news.

But fans who were expecting an actual reunion weren’t exactly thrilled.

The collection arrives November 6, turning the whole situation into an accidental lesson in modern internet marketing: tease big, let the internet speculate, then reveal the merch.

The show follows a series of dates across Morocco, several of which reportedly sold out, including previous stops in Marrakech, Fès, Rabat, Casablanca and Tangier.

For Moroccan Gen Z, stand-up has increasingly become social-media content too: the jokes don’t necessarily stay inside the theatre. Clips, catchphrases and audience moments can quickly travel across TikTok and Instagram.

The Weeknd just wrapped the European and UK leg of his massive After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour, and the numbers are huge.

The 42-date run brought in more than $345 million and attracted over 2.3 million fans across 11 countries. But one number stands out for a different reason: the tour raised more than $2.2 million for charity.

The money is going to the United Nations World Food Programme and Global Citizen, with part of the donations coming directly from ticket sales, €1 from every ticket sold in Europe and £1 in the UK.

The tour also generated more than $618 million in economic impact across the UK and France alone, showing just how much a stadium tour can affect more than the music industry.

And Abel Tesfaye isn’t done yet. The After Hours Til Dawn tour heads to Asia on September 19, starting in Tokyo before moving through Jakarta, Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.

Basically: millions of fans, hundreds of millions in revenue , and $2.2 million going toward people who need it.

Vivian Wilson, Elon Musk’s estranged daughter, is the face of Desigual’s new Fall/Winter 2026 campaign, “Born to Disobey” , and the campaign is making waves for its very pointed take on artificial intelligence.

In the campaign film, Wilson is followed around by a humanoid AI robot named DESI 84. Instead of treating it like a helpful assistant, she completely rejects it — using the robot as a golf tee, walking it like a pet and eventually letting it short-circuit under a sprinkler.

The message is pretty clear: technology doesn’t get to replace human creativity.

Wilson has also spoken openly about her concerns that AI could threaten creative jobs and argued that technology can’t reproduce the emotional and human side of art.

But the campaign got an extra layer of internet drama because Wilson’s father, Elon Musk, is one of the world’s biggest advocates for AI through companies including xAI.

At the end of the campaign, Wilson delivers the line:

“Some things can’t be fixed.”

That line has been widely interpreted as a reference not only to the robot, but also to her complicated relationship with her father.

Desigual’s campaign is ultimately about refusing to follow expectations , but with Wilson as its face, the message has become something much bigger online:

AI vs. human creativity. Fashion vs. technology. And, inevitably, Vivian Wilson vs. Elon Musk.

Forget quiet luxury for a second. Ralph Lauren wants romance back.

The designer opened New York Fashion Week with his Spring 2027 collection, describing it as an “irreverent take on romance.”

And the collection definitely leaned into it: corseted tops, flowing trousers, feathered pieces, oversized floral brooches, dramatic coats, plunging gowns and soft, feminine silhouettes were mixed with classic Ralph Lauren tailoring.

The interesting part? Lauren didn’t completely abandon his signature masculine aesthetic. Tailored suits, wide ties and menswear-inspired pieces were styled alongside ultra-feminine dresses and corseted looks.

Basically : Ralph Lauren blends sharp tailoring, feminine silhouettes and romantic details into one effortlessly elegant aesthetic.

The celebrity front row was just as strong, with Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, Elisabeth Debicki and Ariana DeBoseamong the guests.

Could romantic dressing be the next big fashion mood?

Think a lime-green bag spelling out “air-mess” for Hermès and a jacket reading “zhee-vahn-shee” for Givenchy. The collection was designed with Megan O’Cain, a former Next in Fashion contestant.

And apparently, we really needed the lesson. Duolingo and YouGov found that 62% of Americans are confident they can pronounce Hermès correctly but only 15% actually do. Jacquemus was the fashion name people felt least confident pronouncing.

The collection is being shown during NYFW, with a pop-up where visitors can even bid their Duolingo streaks instead of money to get their hands on pieces.

Fashion education, but make it wearable.

So… which fashion brand have you been confidently pronouncing wrong?
