A l’entame du match, les Lionnes de l’Atlas ont enclenché leur jeu sur les chapeaux de roue en mettant une pression accrue sur la ligne défensive camerounaise par le biais de Sanaa Mssoudy, Sakina Ouzraoui et la capitaine Ghizlane Chebbak.

Face à une équipe camerounaise coriace et combative, les Lionnes de l’Atlas se sont jetées corps et âme dans le jeu et ont failli ouvrir le score à la 60e minute de jeu par Sanaa Mssoudy dont la frappe a atterri au petit filet de la lucarne.

Le Cameroun a répliqué par Marie Gisèle Manga à la 64e minute qui a manqué une passe décisive face à Khadija Er-Rmichi.

Pour donner du sang neuf au milieu de terrain des Lionnes de l’Atlas, Jorge Vilda a aligné Najat Badri et Imane Saoud (68e) en remplacement, respectivement, de Elodie Nakkach et Ibtissam Jraidi.

Déterminées, les Camerounaises se sont montrées plus dangereuses lors de cette seconde période notamment à travers Michaela-Batya Abam et Yvana Makana.

L’entrée en jeu de Fatima Tagnaout à la place de Ghizlane Chebbak (82e) a dynamisé la ligne offensive des Lionnes de l’Atlas qui se sont montrées plus déterminées et audacieuses pour prendre l’avantage par le biais de Tagnaout et Hanane Ait El Haj (90e), ainsi que Sanaa Mssoudy (92e) et Sakina Ouzraoui (94e).

A l’issue des prolongations (0-0), marquées par le raté d’un penalty à la 117ème minute par Tagnaout, les deux équipes ont entamé la séance des tirs au but qui a tourné à la faveur du Cameroun qui affrontera en finale le Malawi, dimanche, sur la pelouse du stade Moulay El Hassan.

Avec 265 morts et des centaines de disparus, le séisme de magnitude 7,4, dont l’épicentre était situé dans le département pauvre du Choco, sur la côte Pacifique, est le plus meurtrier de ce début de siècle en Colombie. Il a frappé de nombreuses villes de l’ouest, dont Cali, la troisième du pays, et Pereira dans la « région du café ».

A Cali, Martha Perez s’est dit « démunie », alors que deux proches sont encore bloqués sous les décombres. « Nous nous accrocherons (à l’espoir) jusqu’à la toute fin », a-t-elle ajouté auprès de l’AFP.

A Pereira, des secouristes interrogés mercredi concentraient leurs efforts sur une boulangerie effondrée dont ils espéraient extraire en vie un vendeur ambulant, coincé sous les décombres depuis le tremblement de terre.

Ils l’ont localisé à l’aide d’appareils capables de détecter les vibrations.

« On nous dit que ça pourrait être lui, on attend avec émotion », dit sa nièce de 16 ans, Sara Loaiza. « Pourvu que ce soit lui, qu’il soit en vie », dit-elle.

Des journalistes de l’AFP ont constaté que l’homme semblait répondre lorsque les équipes de secours lui demandaient de frapper deux coups, puis trois, depuis le gouffre où il se trouve, provoquant les applaudissements de la foule présente sur place.

« Nous entrons dans la phase finale des premières 72 heures », avait souligné mercredi matin le maire de Cali, Alejandro Eder. « Cela ne veut pas dire qu’il n’y aura pas de survivants après, mais ce sera plus difficile », a-t-il indiqué. À Cali et Pereira, les deux villes les plus touchées par la catastrophe, les équipes de secours et les bénévoles ont oeuvré une troisième nuit d’affilée, de leurs mains nues ou avec des grues et des chiens renifleurs, s’arrêtant à intervalle régulier pour tenter de détecter d’éventuels signes de vie.

Le président Abelardo de la Espriella, entré en fonctions la semaine dernière, a communiqué mercredi en fin d’après-midi un nouveau bilan, évoquant 265 morts, près de 3.500 blessés et 500 disparus.

Plus de 11.000 logements ont été détruits dans la catastrophe et des milliers de familles se retrouvent sans toit.

Le dirigeant de droite dure a décrété trois jours de deuil national « en hommage à toutes les personnes décédées », ainsi que l' »urgence économique », une mesure qui l’autorise à lever des impôts et modifier le budget sans passer par le Parlement.

– Habitants « sous le choc » –

Beaucoup d’habitants ont déjà passé deux nuits dehors, soit parce que leurs maisons ont été endommagées, soit par crainte des répliques.

Dans la ville montagneuse d’El Cairo, quelque 250 km au nord de Cali, les habitants sont traumatisés.

« Les gens ne veulent pas rentrer chez eux, ils ne veulent pas dormir, ils ne savent pas quoi faire », témoigne Adriana Gonzalez, une cuisinière de 40 ans.

Mery Quintero, 51 ans, a vu son « gagne-pain » disparaître avec le séisme. Sa boutique de vêtements est recouverte de débris. « C’est très dur », admet-elle.

Dans le quartier Providencia de Pereira, ville déjà frappée par un séisme qui avait fait près de 1.200 morts en 1999, des habitants ont passé la journée à extraire meubles et effets personnels de leurs logements en ruines.

Parmi eux, l’avocate Ana Paulina Crosthwaite, dont l’immeuble a été jugé dangereux après le séisme. Elle se dit « sous le choc » face à cette « nouvelle réalité ». « Nous ne sommes pas prêts à dire à nos enfants qu’il faut prendre ce que nous pouvons et commencer une nouvelle vie », confie-t-elle à l’AFP.

De nombreux Colombiens se sont mobilisés, apportant de l’eau et de la nourriture aux quartiers touchés ou faisant la queue pour donner leur sang.

Les Etats-Unis ont annoncé une aide de 15,5 millions de dollars et l’Union européenne 2,3 millions (2 millions d’euros).

Les exécutions sont programmées en Alabama, en Oklahoma et dans le Tennessee, trois Etats du sud des Etats-Unis, par injection létale, le mode opératoire le plus répandu dans le pays.

La dernière fois que la peine capitale a été appliquée un même jour à autant de condamnés remonte au 7 janvier 2010, avec trois exécutions similaires au Texas, en Louisiane et dans l’Ohio, d’après les données consultées par l’AFP sur le site du DPIC.

Le 28 juillet dernier, la Floride a pour sa part procédé à l’exécution de deux prisonniers le même jour.

Les prisonniers devant être exécutés jeudi ont été condamnés pour deux d’entre eux pour des meurtres de femmes, le troisième pour le meurtre et le viol d’une fillette, selon les médias américains.

Les deux premières exécutions sont prévues à 10 heures locales (15H00 GMT) dans le Tennessee et en Oklahoma. La troisième, en Alabama, doit avoir lieu à 18H00 (23H00 GMT), a indiqué l’ONG Death Penalty Action dans un communiqué à l’AFP.

L’organisation abolitionniste a prévu des veillées de protestation sur place.

Depuis le début 2026, 19 condamnés à mort ont été exécutés aux Etats-Unis, dans leur grande majorité en Floride (12) et au Texas (4). L’Oklahoma a procédé à deux exécutions et l’Arizona en a compté une.

L’an dernier, 47 exécutions ont eu lieu, soit le plus haut niveau depuis les 52 enregistrées en 2009.

La peine de mort a été abolie dans 23 Etats américains sur 50. Dans trois autres, un moratoire est en place.

Le président Donald Trump est un fervent partisan de le peine capitale, appelant à son plus large usage pour les « crimes les plus graves ».

Taipei accuse régulièrement Pékin, qui considère Taïwan comme partie intégrante de son territoire, de piratage informatique mais n’a pas mentionné de pays en particulier lors de ce dernier incident.

Le gouvernement taïwanais accuse également Pékin de recourir à des « tactiques de zone grise » — des actions coercitives qui ne constituent pas un acte de guerre — notamment des cyberattaques destinées à harceler l’île.

Les cyberattaques ont débuté en juillet et « les agences concernées ont successivement mis en oeuvre les mesures de riposte », a indiqué le ministère des Affaires numériques dans un communiqué, sans donner plus de détails sur l’ampleur, les dégâts ou les cibles de ces attaques.

Les pirates ont utilisé un « modèle hybride » combinant des agents IA, tels que la plateforme OpenClaw, pour faciliter les attaques, a précisé le ministère.

« Les agents IA peuvent enchaîner rapidement plusieurs techniques d’attaque et utiliser des systèmes secondaires, tels que les systèmes de sauvegarde et de test, comme points de départ, ce qui confère aux attaques les caractéristiques suivantes: rapidité, faible coût et grande ampleur. »

La déclaration du ministère des Affaires numériques fait suite à un article publié cette semaine dans le Financial Times, qui identifiait les systèmes gouvernementaux taïwanais comme la cible d’une attaque menée par une IA autonome, vraisemblablement orchestrée par des pirates informatiques chinois.

Le Financial Times, citant des chercheurs de la société israélienne Dream spécialisée dans l’IA, a indiqué que des pirates informatiques avaient utilisé des agents d’IA open source pour mettre au point un outil autonome destiné à mener cette attaque.

Cet outil a déployé jusqu’à huit agents autonomes qui ont cartographié 21 systèmes gouvernementaux, exploré leurs vulnérabilités et changé de tactique lorsqu’ils se heurtaient à des obstacles, a précisé le journal, qui a qualifié cette attaque de « première du genre. »

Même si les cyberattaques basées sur l’IA « ne sont pas un phénomène nouveau », c’est « la première fois que plusieurs agents IA ont été utilisés pour mener une cyberattaque », a déclaré Kenny Huang, président du Taiwan Network Information Center, une société de services internet.

Ces dernières années, plusieurs pays, notamment les Etats-Unis, ont fait part de leur inquiétude face à ce qu’ils qualifient d’activités de piratage informatique soutenues par Pékin et visant leurs gouvernements, leurs forces armées et leurs entreprises.

La Chine a nié ces accusations, affirmant s’opposer et réprimer toutes les formes de cyberattaques.

That’s the biggest challenge with this movie.

How do you make He-Man look cool in 2026?

The original design is iconic.

But it’s also extremely 80s.

Giant muscles.

Tiny armor.

A haircut that somehow survived four decades.

And a sword that basically screams:

« I am a toy. »

So the filmmakers have to walk a very thin line.

Change too much…

And fans will say:

« That’s not He-Man. »

Change too little…

And younger audiences might look at it and think:

« What am I watching? »

That’s the same problem every nostalgic reboot has.

You need to respect the original…

Without being trapped by it.

And Masters of the Universe has something working in its favor:

The concept is actually pretty crazy.

It’s not just a guy with a sword.

It’s an entire fantasy universe.

Magic.

Technology.

Ancient civilizations.

Warriors.

Monsters.

And characters that have become part of pop-culture history.

And then there’s Skeletor.

Because let’s be honest…

The success of this movie could depend heavily on the villain.

Skeletor isn’t just another bad guy.

He’s one of those villains whose design is instantly recognizable.

And an absolutely ridiculous laugh.

If they get him right…

We’re talking about meme material for months.

And this is also where the comparison with the original cartoon becomes interesting.

Elle utilise notamment des enregistrements de prison inédits, des archives, des témoignages et des interviews pour revenir sur l’ascension de Manson, les crimes de 1969 et son procès.

Depuis Ceuta, le ministre espagnol des Affaires étrangères José Manuel Albares a publiquement salué la position du Maroc et sa disponibilité à coopérer pour organiser le retour des mineurs marocains identifiés.

Et cette déclaration intervient dans un contexte particulier.

Ces dernières semaines, Ceuta s’est retrouvée sous une forte pression avec l’arrivée et la présence de nombreux mineurs non accompagnés dans la ville.

Les autorités espagnoles indiquent désormais travailler avec Rabat sur leur regroupement familial au Maroc. Un travail d’identification concerne notamment 1 527 mineurs marocains afin de déterminer les possibilités de retour auprès de leurs familles.

Mais attention à un point essentiel :

« Le Maroc accepte le retour » ne signifie pas « les mineurs sont automatiquement renvoyés ».

Le processus doit tenir compte de la situation individuelle de chaque mineur et de son intérêt supérieur.

But the fact that it’s officially moving forward?

That’s already wild.

Because if you’re a 25-to-30-year-old who grew up watching Cartoon Network…

You probably know exactly who we’re talking about.

George Jetson.

The dad.

The flying car.

The futuristic apartment.

The robot maid Rosie.

The dog Astro.

And a family living in a world where technology was basically 60 years ahead of its time.

The original Jetsons debuted way back in 1962.

A lot of the technology imagined by that cartoon doesn’t even feel futuristic anymore.

Can this actually work as live action?

Because The Jetsons is basically a giant cartoon built around absurdity.

Everything is exaggerated.

The machines.

The architecture.

The characters.

The jokes.

The whole aesthetic.

Turning that into live action without making it look like a gigantic CGI commercial is going to be difficult.

But then…

You remember who’s playing George.

Jim Carrey.

And suddenly the casting starts making sense.

Because Carrey has spent his entire career turning completely ridiculous characters into something audiences actually love.

The Mask.

Ace Ventura.

Liar Liar.

Bruce Almighty.

And more recently…

Dr. Robotnik in the Sonic movies.

So if Hollywood needs someone who can walk into a completely insane futuristic world…

And somehow make it feel normal…

Jim Carrey is a pretty convincing choice.

The project is also being developed with Colin Trevorrow, who is attached to direct, while Trevorrow and Joe Epstein have been involved with the screenplay.

But don’t get too excited yet.

There is no confirmed release date.

The movie is currently positioned in Warner Bros.’ slate for releases beyond 2027.

And there’s another reason this project is interesting.

Coming back again and again.

You don’t have to explain what you’re selling.

The U.S. military has confirmed that it opened fire on a Panama-flagged cargo ship that Washington says was attempting to breach its naval blockade of Iranian ports.

The vessel?

The M/V Vela Nova.

According to U.S. officials, American forces had repeatedly ordered the ship to stop.

It didn’t.

A U.S. military helicopter then fired missiles at the vessel, hitting its engine area and disabling it.

There were no reported deaths among the 17 crew members.

And here’s why this matters.

This isn’t happening in some isolated corner of the ocean.

It’s happening in the middle of the massive crisis surrounding Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.

For months, Hormuz has been one of the most dangerous shipping routes on the planet.

And traffic has collapsed.

Before the crisis, around 130 to 140 vessels could pass through the strait in a typical day.

On Tuesday?

Only eight vessels were tracked.

That’s an extraordinary drop.

Why?

On August 8, Colombia’s new government announced that it was withdrawing its recognition of the so-called Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and recognizing Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara. The decision reversed the position adopted under former president Gustavo Petro, who had restored diplomatic relations with the RASD in 2022.

But what makes this story even more interesting…

Is what happened behind the announcement.

And one of the key figures explaining that diplomatic shift is Farida Loudaya, Morocco’s ambassador in Bogotá.

For years, Colombia had been moving in a direction that was increasingly uncomfortable for Rabat.

Under Petro, Bogotá restored relations with the RASD in 2022.

So Morocco suddenly found itself dealing with a Latin American country that had moved closer to the Polisario position.

Then…

The political situation changed in Colombia.

A new government arrived.

And with it came a complete review of the country’s foreign policy.

The result?

Bogotá decided to freeze its relations with the RASD and recognize Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara.

But this wasn’t presented simply as a symbolic diplomatic gesture.

Colombia also wants to deepen its relationship with Morocco economically and strategically.

For a few hours this Wednesday, the Moon will move directly between Earth and the Sun, creating a spectacular partial solar eclipse across Morocco.

And yes…

You will be able to see it from basically the entire country.

But here’s the important part:

Morocco is NOT inside the path of totality.

So don’t expect the Sun to completely disappear.

Instead, the Moon will cover a huge portion of it.

In Tangier, we’re talking about roughly 93% of the Sun being obscured at the maximum.

That’s seriously dramatic.

The eclipse begins in Morocco at around 6:44 PM, reaches its peak in the northern regions around 7:40 PM, and ends progressively across the country during the evening.

And the timing changes depending on where you are.

In Casablanca, the eclipse begins around 6:48 PM, reaches maximum around 7:43 PM, with approximately 89% of the Sun covered, and ends around 8:20 PM.

In Marrakech, it starts around 6:52 PM, peaks around 7:46 PM, with roughly 86% coverage, and ends around 8:18 PM.

And across Morocco as a whole, the partial eclipse is visible from roughly 6:44 PM to 8:40 PM, depending on your location.

So if you’re planning to watch it…

Get outside before sunset.

Find somewhere with a clear view of the western sky.

Because the Sun will already be relatively low on the horizon during the event.

And that creates an especially cinematic effect.

The light starts changing.

The Sun becomes a thin crescent.

The surroundings can become noticeably darker.

And for a moment…

It can feel like somebody is slowly turning down the brightness of the entire country.

But now comes the most important part.

DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN.

Not with your phone camera.

Not with sunglasses.

Concours sélectifs.

Diplômes prestigieux.

Management, finance, stratégie, leadership…

Bref, sur le papier, tout respire l’excellence.

Mais il y a un petit détail.

Une grande école, ce n’est pas seulement savoir apprendre aux étudiants comment gérer une entreprise.

C’est aussi savoir gérer…

sa propre maison.

Et quand on regarde certaines affaires qui ont touché les ENCG ces dernières années, on peut légitimement se demander si le cours de gestion administrative n’a pas été séché.

Parce qu’entre conflits internes, accusations de dysfonctionnements, enquêtes, affaires de harcèlement et maintenant des problèmes de délivrance de diplômes…

ça commence à faire beaucoup pour des établissements qui enseignent justement la rigueur et la gouvernance.

PREMIER ÉPISODE : CASABLANCA

On commence à Casablanca.

En 2022, un conflit ouvert oppose une partie du corps enseignant à la direction de l’ENCG Casablanca.

Les enseignants accusent alors la direction de décisions qu’ils qualifient d’unilatérales et illégales, évoquent des violations de leurs droits et demandent au ministère d’intervenir.

Et le plus intéressant ?

Certains enseignants affirmaient que des rémunérations importantes n’étaient pas versées.

On parle, selon les éléments rapportés à l’époque, de sommes allant de 10 000 à plus de 70 000 dirhams pour certains professeurs.

Les enseignants contestent également la gestion de certaines élections internes et accusent la direction d’intervenir dans des processus pédagogiques.

Et comme si tout ça ne suffisait pas…

une grève de quatre semaines.

Oui.

Quatre semaines.

Dans une école où l’on apprend aux étudiants à optimiser les ressources, planifier, anticiper et gérer les risques.

Apparemment, pour la gestion du conflit interne…

le PowerPoint a buggué.

DEUXIÈME ACTE : ÇA CONTINUE

En 2023, le conflit n’est toujours pas terminé.

TelQuel rapporte alors des rémunérations non versées, des résultats de concours contestés et des accusations persistantes entre une partie des enseignants et la direction.

Et en 2024, nouveau niveau.

Des enseignants dénoncent l’existence d’un PV qu’ils qualifient de falsifié, concernant notamment la validation de projets de masters.

Encore une fois :

attention, on parle d’accusations rapportées publiquement, pas d’une condamnation judiciaire définitive.

Mais le simple fait que des membres d’un établissement contestent publiquement l’authenticité de documents censés formaliser les décisions de l’école…

ce n’est pas exactement le genre de storytelling qu’on met sur une brochure d’excellence.

LeBrief rapporte ensuite l’existence d’une enquête autour de l’établissement, dans un contexte de plaintes, tensions et accusations portant sur différents aspects de la gouvernance. La direction concernée a, de son côté, contesté les accusations et présenté sa propre version.

Donc non, on ne va pas déclarer des gens coupables à la place de la justice.

Mais on peut poser une question très simple :

Pourquoi une école censée former les futurs managers accumule-t-elle autant de conflits autour de sa propre gestion ?

ET PUIS, IL Y A OUJDA

Décembre 2021.

L’ENCG Oujda se retrouve au cœur d’une affaire de harcèlement et de chantage sexuel impliquant un professeur et des étudiantes.

Des échanges diffusés sur les réseaux sociaux déclenchent un scandale.

Une enquête du ministère est ouverte.

Le professeur mis en cause est suspendu.

Et les autorités prennent également des mesures contre plusieurs responsables de l’établissement.

Le ministère va même jusqu’à demander au directeur de l’établissement de présenter sa démission, tandis que plusieurs responsables sont relevés de leurs fonctions.

Et là, impossible de sortir la formule magique :

« Ce n’est qu’un cas isolé. »

Peut-être.

Mais quand les mêmes réseaux d’écoles connaissent, à différents endroits, des crises aussi lourdes…

la question de la gouvernance mérite au minimum d’être posée.

ET MAINTENANT : SETTAT

Parce que c’est ici que les choses deviennent particulièrement intéressantes.

En 2022, l’ENCG Settat a elle aussi été confrontée à une controverse autour d’un concours de recrutement.

Hespress rapporte que des suspicions concernant le recrutement d’un professeur-assistant ont conduit à l’ouverture d’une enquête interne.

Deux membres du jury se seraient retirés avant la date prévue du concours, ce qui avait suscité des interrogations et déclenché l’intervention du ministère.

Encore une fois :

on ne dit pas qu’un recrutement frauduleux a été prouvé.

On dit qu’un concours jugé suspect a suffisamment interrogé les autorités pour qu’une enquête soit ouverte.

Nuance importante.

Parce qu’être journaliste, ce n’est pas remplacer la justice.

C’est poser les questions que tout le monde préfère parfois éviter.

ET VOILÀ LE DIPLOME

Mais aujourd’hui, le problème le plus concret pour les étudiants est peut-être beaucoup plus banal.

Et donc beaucoup plus absurde.

Le diplôme.

L’ENCG Settat a publié elle-même un avis concernant les diplômes de lauréats en mobilité internationale des promotions antérieures à 2024-2025.

L’école indique avoir délivré plus de 300 diplômes, tout en précisant que certains dossiers demeuraient encore en cours de traitement administratif et de vérification.

Une procédure spécifique a même été mise en place pour tenter de régulariser les situations encore en attente.

Donc oui :

le problème des diplômes en attente est officiellement documenté par l’établissement lui-même.

Et c’est ici que la situation devient franchement surréaliste.

Parce que pour certains étudiants concernés aujourd’hui, le parcours ressemble à ceci :

Tu termines tes études.

Tu dois régulariser ton dossier.

On te demande des justificatifs.

Tu les fournis.

Tu attends.

Tu relances.

Et malgré tout…

tu n’as toujours pas ton diplôme.

Et lorsqu’une rentrée universitaire arrive en septembre ?

Eh bien…

l’administration, elle, peut prendre son temps.

L’étudiant, lui ?

Il est prié de patienter.

Magnifique système.

LE PETIT DÉTAIL QUI FAIT MAL

Dans certaines procédures officielles de l’ENCG Settat, l’établissement indique également que lorsque les conditions sont remplies, que la situation financière est régularisée et que le dossier est complet, la délivrance du diplôme intervient dans un délai annoncé d’environ vingt jours ouvrables pour la procédure concernée. (ENGS)

Alors maintenant, posons la question que tout étudiant devrait pouvoir poser sans avoir l’impression de demander la lune :

Quand mon dossier est complet, combien de temps dois-je réellement attendre ?

Une semaine ?

Vingt jours ouvrables ?

Deux mois ?

Six mois ?

Un an ?

Ou…

jusqu’à ce que quelqu’un retrouve le dossier entre deux cafés ?

LE VRAI PROBLÈME

Parce que le problème n’est pas qu’une administration puisse rencontrer des difficultés.

Ça arrive.

Le problème, c’est lorsqu’un étudiant n’a plus de visibilité.

Pas de délai clair.

Pas de responsable clairement identifié.

Pas de réponse satisfaisante.

Et surtout…

pas de solution lorsque le retard menace directement sa prochaine étape universitaire ou professionnelle.

On demande aux étudiants d’être rigoureux.

D’arriver à l’heure.

De respecter les procédures.

De payer dans les délais.

De fournir les documents.

De ne jamais dépasser une échéance.

Très bien.

Mais qui demande la même rigueur à l’administration ?

CONCLUSION

Les ENCG enseignent le management.

La gouvernance.

La stratégie.

La gestion des risques.

La responsabilité.

Alors peut-être qu’il serait temps de faire passer un petit examen à l’institution elle-même.

Parce qu’un étudiant ne devrait pas devoir devenir expert en administration publique simplement pour récupérer le diplôme qu’il a mérité.

Un document qui devrait clôturer son parcours…

ne devrait pas devenir son prochain parcours du combattant.

Et lorsqu’on additionne les affaires qui ont touché différentes ENCG :

les conflits de gouvernance à Casablanca,

les accusations autour de documents officiels,

les enquêtes,

l’affaire de harcèlement à Oujda,

les interrogations autour d’un recrutement à Settat,

et maintenant les dossiers de diplômes encore en traitement…

une chose est certaine :

la réputation d’une grande école ne se résume pas au nombre d’étudiants qu’elle sélectionne.

Elle se mesure aussi à la manière dont elle traite ceux qu’elle a déjà diplômés.

Parce qu’il est facile de parler d’excellence.

Le vrai test…

c’est quand l’étudiant frappe à la porte pour récupérer ce qu’on lui doit.

Et là, bizarrement…

le management devient beaucoup moins théorique.

Selon l’Autorité portuaire de Tanger Med, cette mesure, en vigueur depuis cinq ans dans les ports de Tanger, Tarifa, Nador et Sebta, et étendue cette année à Tanger Med et Algésiras, vise à réguler le flux de passagers et à assurer un transit fluide, tout en tenant compte de la capacité de la flotte maritime.

L’Autorité portuaire exige de tous les passagers, et notamment des membres de la communauté marocaine résidant à l’étranger, qu’ils confirment l’horaire de départ de leur ferry avant de se rendre au port. Cette démarche peut être effectuée au niveau des aires de repos de Tanger Med, situées à l’entrée de l’autoroute Tanger-Ksar Sghir, ou via les applications, les sites web et les numéros du service client des compagnies maritimes.

Les autorités conseillent également aux voyageurs de planifier leur départ en dehors des heures de pointe, notamment les samedis et dimanches ainsi que durant la dernière semaine d’août.

Dans ce cadre, l’Autorité portuaire, en coordination avec les différents intervenants, a mis en œuvre une série de mesures concrètes visant à fluidifier le trafic et à réduire les délais de traitement des formalités aux frontières et en douane, grâce à la mobilisation constante des équipes de la Direction générale de la sûreté nationale (DGSN), de l’Administration des douanes et impôts indirects (ADII) et des autorités locales.

Dans une déclaration à la MAP, le directeur central du port de Tanger Med, Jaafar Aamiyar, a souligné que le système de « billet ferme » a été mis en place afin de réguler l’arrivée des passagers en fonction des horaires des ferries et d’éviter la saturation de la flotte, l’objectif étant de prévenir les temps d’attente prolongés au port.

Il a précisé que les passagers ne disposant pas d’un billet confirmé peuvent contacter les compagnies maritimes afin de modifier la date et l’heure de leur réservation. Cette modification peut également être effectuée sur l’autoroute reliant Kénitra à Tanger, plus précisément au niveau de la zone portuaire de Tanger Med gérée par la Fondation Mohammed V pour la Solidarité, ou encore dans la zone portuaire d’Aïn Chouka, près de Ksar Sghir, à quelques kilomètres de l’entrée du terminal passagers de Tanger Med.

Anticipant une forte augmentation du nombre de passagers, notamment vers la fin du mois d’août, le responsable a exhorté les voyageurs à consulter les prévisions de trafic avant de se rendre au port de Tanger Med et à éviter de voyager à cette période afin de garantir un passage sûr, rapide et fluide lors de leur retour dans leur pays de résidence.

Il convient de souligner que ces mesures s’inscrivent dans le cadre d’une organisation rigoureuse de l’accueil et du transit des voyageurs, contribuant ainsi à assurer le bon déroulement et la sécurité de l’Opération « Marhaba 2026 », tout en accompagnant la dynamique croissante qu’elle connaît d’année en année.

La Suède ou la France ont notamment arraisonné des navires accusés de faire partie de cette flotte utilisée par Moscou pour contourner les sanctions occidentales mises en place depuis son offensive à grande échelle en Ukraine.

De nouvelles sanctions, approuvées par l’UE fin juillet pour fragiliser cette importante source de revenus pour la Russie, ouvrent la voie à la vente du pétrole ou des marchandises saisis sur ces bateaux.

« Nous constatons que les autorités de certains pays (…) ont récemment envisagé la possibilité de saisir nos navires et vendre les biens qu’ils nous ont spoliés », a affirmé Vladimir Poutine, estimant qu’il s’agit de « piraterie et de banditisme ».

« Si cela se concrétisait, nous devrons répondre de manière symétrique », a affirmé Vladimir Poutine en marge d’exercices navals dans l’Extrême-Orient russe, ajoutant que Moscou agirait « là où nous le jugerons nécessaire et approprié, n’importe où ».

La Suède a décidé de remettre à l’Ukraine un cargo de la flotte fantôme russe, arraisonné début mars et transportant, selon Kiev, du blé ukrainien volé des territoires occupés.

Vladimir Poutine s’exprimait à bord du croiseur russe Varyag au large de l’île de Sakhaline, où la marine russe mène des exercices.

Ceux-ci ont lieu une semaine avant des manoeuvres militaires conjointes entre les Etats-Unis et la Corée du Sud, destinées à simuler une éventuelle attaque de la Corée du Nord.

Les tensions sont vives dans la région, Kiev et Séoul accusant Pyongyang et Moscou d’intensifier leur coopération militaire.

« Ils voulaient me mettre dans un autre vol, dans un autre avion, avec la même sécurité, ils voulaient que je le fasse, donc je l’ai fait. Je fais ce qu’ils me disent », a déclaré le président américain près de Washington en rentrant d’un déplacement.

Les révélations du Washington Post sur l’opération de sécurité rocambolesque qui s’est déroulée sur le tarmac de l’aéroport d’Ankara le 8 juillet, face au risque d’une attaque iranienne, soulèvent des questions sur la sécurité du président américain ainsi que sur la crédibilité de la menace qui pesait sur lui autant que sur la communication de la Maison Blanche.

Ce jour-là, pour quitter le sommet de l’Otan en Turquie, le président des Etats-Unis a été exfiltré dans un conteneur de ravitaillement vers un autre avion, tandis qu’Air Force One a décollé avec à son bord une douzaine de journalistes persuadés, à tort, de voyager avec Donald Trump. Ce dernier a finalement pris place à bord d’un autre appareil.

« J’imagine qu’il y avait une menace. Je n’en ai pas demandé beaucoup plus », a dit le président mardi soir, interrogé sur la raison qui a poussé son service de protection, le Secret Service, à lui conseiller cette manoeuvre.

Donald Trump, tentant visiblement de minimiser l’épisode, a affirmé n’avoir été « pas surpris », « je suis l’objet de beaucoup de menaces dont vous n’avez pas connaissance. »

L’affaire est pourtant devenue politique: plus tôt mardi, le chef de file de l’opposition démocrate au Sénat Chuck Schumer avait demandé que les parlementaires soient « immédiatement informés ». « Il est inacceptable que le Congrès ait été laissé dans l’ignorance. »

Ce voyage retour de Turquie avait déjà donné lieu auparavant à une péripétie.

Donald Trump aurait dû quitter Ankara pour le Royaume-Uni avec le même Boeing 747 qui l’avait amené, un appareil offert par le Qatar et soumis à de coûteuses modifications.

Mais des inquiétudes pour sa sécurité avaient conduit la Maison Blanche à changer de programme à la dernière minute et à le faire voyager sur l’ancien appareil, considéré comme plus sûr.

C’est donc dans cet avion – aux peintures bleu clair caractéristique des anciennes versions d’Air Force One – que le président américain a embarqué, sous les caméras et les objectifs des photographes.

Sur une photo de l’AFP prise auparavant, deux conteneurs de ravitaillement montés sur des ressorts hydrauliques sont bien visibles, l’un positionné à l’avant, l’autre à l’arrière.

Selon la presse américaine, c’est bien dans ce conteneur que Donald Trump a quitté l’avion, pour embarquer sur l’autre appareil de l’armée de l’air américaine, un C-32A.

Le Wall Street Journal cite un responsable américain selon lequel Israël a informé les Etats-Unis d’une menace d’attaque par missile sol-air portable contre l’avion. Le quotidien précise que de hauts responsables américains, dont le chef de la diplomatie Marco Rubio, sont eux restés à bord.

Tout comme la douzaine de journalistes voyageant à l’arrière, dans une cabine qui ne communique pas avec l’espace réservé au président, situé vers l’avant, et qui n’ont rien deviné du subterfuge – la sécurité leur avait d’ailleurs demandé de baisser les stores des hublots, une consigne très inhabituelle en dehors de zones de combat.

Une fois arrivé sur la base militaire de Mildenhall, dans l’est de l’Angleterre, un peu avant cet avion leurre, le milliardaire de 80 ans y est remonté, là aussi secrètement et sans que le Washington Post n’ait pu apprendre comment.

Puis il a descendu la passerelle devant les journalistes avant d’embarquer immédiatement, avec eux, dans l’avion offert par le Qatar pour regagner les Etats-Unis.

Ce n’est pas la première fois dans l’histoire qu’un président américain prend ainsi des précautions exceptionnelles, mais le secret entourant cette opération est inhabituel.

En 2000, Bill Clinton avait déjà utilisé cette technique d’un avion leurre pour se rendre d’Inde au Pakistan. Selon le Washington Post, la présidente de l’Association des correspondants à la Maison Blanche de l’époque avait été avertie.

En 2023, une visite de Joe Biden en Ukraine avait également été entourée du plus grand secret. Le président démocrate avait été accompagné de deux journalistes.

Mercredi sera consacré à la sélection des jurés au tribunal fédéral d’Oakland, près de San Francisco. Les débats ne s’ouvriront que le 18 août, pour six semaines d’audiences jusqu’à fin septembre.

« Cela ressemble vraiment à l’industrie du tabac des années 1990 », estime auprès de l’AFP Vincent Joralemon, juriste au centre de droit et technologies de l’université de Berkeley.

A l’image des poursuites d’Etats qui ont fini par faire payer des montants records aux cigarettiers il y a trois décennies et par restreindre leur publicité envers les mineurs, ce sont les pratiques commerciales des réseaux sociaux qui sont visées, souligne-t-il.

Les procureurs généraux de Californie, du Colorado, du Kentucky et du New Jersey porteront le fer contre le groupe de Menlo Park, au nom d’une trentaine d’Etats ayant lancé des poursuites en 2023.

Ils réclament de fortes modifications et restrictions de fonctionnement d’Instagram et Facebook pour les mineurs, et jusqu’à 1.400 milliards de dollars de pénalités, proche de la capitalisation boursière de Meta.

Un tel montant a peu de chances d’être atteint: en juillet, la juge a qualifié cette estimation de « déraisonnable », et celle avancée par Meta, 4 millions de dollars, de « même pas une tape sur la main », selon le média juridique Law360. La principale menace reste « l’atteinte à la réputation » et l’obligation de modifier en profondeur ses produits, estime M. Joralemon.

Le jury n’aura qu’un rôle consultatif: c’est la juge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, qui a arbitré au printemps le procès entre Elon Musk et OpenAI, qui fixera les éventuelles pénalités et mesures de remédiation.

Mark Zuckerberg figure parmi les témoins vedettes attendus à la barre, six mois après sa première comparution devant un jury, à Los Angeles. « Faire venir un patron à la barre peut être très accablant », relève M. Joralemon.

– Bouclier fissuré –

Les plaignants accusent Meta d’avoir violé leurs lois de protection des consommateurs et une loi fédérale sur les données des enfants (COPPA), avec des fonctionnalités conçues pour retenir les mineurs: défilement infini, notifications nocturnes, « likes ».

Cette stratégie vise à contourner l’immunité dont jouissent les plateformes pour les contenus publiés par leurs utilisateurs: c’est la conception des applications qui est donc attaquée, pas ce qu’on y publie. Lundi, la cour d’appel fédérale de San Francisco a écarté sur ce terrain un ultime recours de Meta invoquant ce bouclier juridique.

Meta « conteste fermement ces accusations » et se dit « confiant » que les preuves montreront son « engagement de longue date en faveur des jeunes », a déclaré un porte-parole à l’AFP, assurant avoir « écouté les parents, travaillé avec des experts et les forces de l’ordre ». Le groupe fera valoir que la santé mentale des jeunes ne peut être imputée à une seule application et que « l’usage problématique » des réseaux sociaux n’est pas une addiction médicalement reconnue.

L’enjeu sera de mesurer « l’écart » entre ce que Meta savait de ses produits et ce qu’il en disait publiquement, estime Nora Freeman Engstrom, professeure de droit à Stanford, spécialiste des contentieux de masse. Un écart révélé à l’automne 2021 par la lanceuse d’alerte Frances Haugen et ses « Facebook Files », dont un volet sur les dégâts d’Instagram chez les adolescentes.

Meta, qui a fait appel, a déjà été condamné deux fois cette année: 6 millions de dollars, solidairement avec YouTube, à une adolescente de Los Angeles, et près d’un milliard de dollars en amendes et réparations au Nouveau-Mexique.

YouTube (Google), Snap et TikTok sont visés en parallèle par des milliers de plaintes de familles et de collectivités éducatives. En mai, les quatre sociétés ont préféré payer ensemble 27 millions de dollars pour éviter un procès-test contre un district scolaire du Kentucky.

Avec un tel contentieux de masse, ces procédures pourraient « durer des décennies », prévient M. Joralemon.

The Democratic Republic of Congo has just crossed a devastating milestone.

More than 2,000 people have now died from the country’s latest Ebola outbreak.

According to the latest figures reported by La Nouvelle Tribune, the outbreak has reached 2,011 deaths among 4,381 confirmed cases, putting the estimated fatality rate at around 46 percent.

And that number isn’t just a statistic.

It means that almost one out of every two confirmed patients has died.

But what’s happening in Congo isn’t simply another Ebola outbreak.

The disease is spreading in regions that are already facing enormous challenges.

Parts of eastern and northeastern Congo have limited healthcare infrastructure, difficult transportation networks and, in some areas, ongoing insecurity.

And when you’re trying to contain a highly contagious and deadly virus…

Those problems can turn an outbreak into a nightmare.

Doctors need to identify cases.

Patients need to be isolated.

Contacts need to be traced.

Medical teams need protective equipment.

Vaccines need to reach the right people.

And all of that becomes dramatically harder when healthcare workers themselves are operating in difficult conditions.

What’s particularly worrying is the scale.

The current outbreak is approaching the size of the devastating 2018–2020 Ebola epidemic, one of the deadliest Ebola outbreaks ever recorded in the country.

That previous crisis killed nearly 2,300 people.

We’re now getting dangerously close to that number again.

But there is also another side to this story.

Because unlike some emerging diseases…

The world already has tools to fight Ebola.

Vaccines exist.

Treatments exist.

And international organizations have years of experience responding to outbreaks.

The problem is getting those tools where they’re needed…

fast enough.

The World Health Organization has recommended evaluating the Ervebo vaccine against the variant responsible for the current outbreak.

There are also hundreds of thousands of doses available through international stockpiles, while researchers are working on additional vaccine candidates.

So this isn’t a situation where scientists are starting from zero.

It’s a race against time.

And that race matters beyond Congo.

Because infectious diseases don’t care about borders.

An outbreak can begin in one remote region…

Then spread through cities.

Airports.

Transport networks.

And eventually across national borders.

That’s why international health authorities treat major Ebola outbreaks as something that requires global attention.

But there’s another important point here.

When you hear « 2,000 deaths », it’s easy to imagine the outbreak as one enormous event happening all at once.

It’s not.

It’s thousands of individual stories.

Families losing parents.

Children losing relatives.

Healthcare workers putting themselves at risk.

Communities living with fear every time someone develops a fever.

And that’s why the response isn’t only about vaccines.

It’s also about trust.

People have to trust healthcare workers.

They have to report symptoms.

They have to accept treatment.

They have to cooperate with contact tracing.

And when communities don’t trust authorities…

Containing an outbreak becomes much harder.

That’s one of the biggest lessons from previous Ebola crises.

Science can create the vaccine.

But people still have to trust the system delivering it.

And that’s where the international response becomes crucial.

The question now is whether the combination of vaccination, surveillance, treatment and international support can stop this outbreak before it reaches the scale of the previous crisis.

Because once an epidemic reaches thousands of deaths…

Every additional week matters.

Every missed case matters.

Every delayed vaccination matters.

And every healthcare worker who can safely treat another patient matters.

So for now…

The DRC is facing one of the most serious Ebola emergencies in years.

More than 2,000 lives have already been lost.

The tools to fight the virus exist.

But the challenge is getting those tools to people quickly enough.

And that’s the story we’re watching.

A deadly virus on one side.

Vaccines, researchers and healthcare workers on the other.

And in between…

A race against time.

Si 70.000 sont repartis très rapidement, selon l’exécutif, le sort des migrants arrivés illégalement à pied ou à la nage est en train de devenir l’objet de vives discussions politiques entre le gouvernement central, de gauche, à Madrid, et Juan Jesús Vivas, du principal parti de droite (Parti populaire).

« Il faut aménager un espace qui fonctionnerait comme un centre de rétention pour étrangers, où ces personnes puissent être placées et y demeurer confinées », a déclaré Juan Jesús Vivas au cours d’une conférence de presse, évoquant une situation sur place « intenable, inacceptable ».

« Leur liberté de mouvement sera restreinte jusqu’à ce que leur dossier d’expulsion soient instruit et finalisé », a-t-il martelé, appelant « urgemment » à « un plan d’Etat ayant pour objet de rétablir la normalité à Ceuta ».

Le dirigeant a chiffré à « 8.000-11.000 » au total le nombre des migrants se trouvant actuellement dans l’enclave espagnole.

Juan Jesús Vivas a par ailleurs salué la manifestation « exemplaire » qui a rassemblé dimanche plus de 10.000 personnes pour dire « Assez ! », selon un chiffre donné par les organisateurs.

La police avait, de son côté, communiqué le chiffre de 5.000 manifestants à Sebta qui compte 84.000 habitants.

A ses côtés lundi, le ministre espagnol de la Politique territoriale Ángel Víctor Torres n’a pas publiquement évoqué la proposition de Juan Jesús Vivas mais a jugé « important » de mettre en place le regroupement familial pour les migrants mineurs arrivés à Sebta, sans évoquer de possibles expulsions.

Au lendemain de l’importante manifestation, il a également adressé « un message de soutien » à la population locale, assurant « parfaitement comprendre la situation ».

Enfin, Ángel Víctor Torres a assuré que « les dispositifs de sécurité » avaient été augmentés de « 40% » à Sebta, en particulier avec une hausse des effectifs des agents de la Garde civile de « 30% environ », ainsi que de ceux de l’armée et de la police.

« Ce message renforce l’idée, sur le marché, qu’il y a peu de chances d’une réouverture imminente du détroit d’Ormuz », affirme Arne Lohmann Rasmussen de Global Risk Management.

Et pour le pétrole cela implique des cours plus élevés, d’autant plus que « ce revirement intervient alors que les Houthis tentent de bloquer le trafic maritime en mer Rouge, et que les stocks mondiaux de pétrole continuent de diminuer », souligne l’analyste.

« Le schéma se répète sans cesse : un enthousiasme initial lorsque les négociations semblent prometteuses, puis cet optimisme s’évapore tout aussi rapidement », quand aucun progrès n’est constaté, affirment les analystes d’ING.

Si les investisseurs réagissent autant aux déclarations politiques, c’est qu’ils s’attendent « à un bond de l’offre de brut si le détroit d’Ormuz rouvrait », susceptible de faire plonger les cours, explique John Evans, analyste chez PVM.

Ce tremblement de terre d’une magnitude de 7,4, survenu lundi en début de matinée dans le département du Choco, région pauvre au bord du Pacifique, a causé un mouvement de panique avec des milliers de personnes dans les rues, ont constaté des journalistes de l’AFP.

Le séisme a causé la mort de 132 personnes dont 87 dans les capitales régionales et plus de 570 blessés, selon le dernier bilan provisoire d’Asocapitales, une organisation créée par les principales villes de Colombie afin de coordonner leurs actions sur différents sujets.

Investi depuis seulement trois jours, le président Abelardo de la Espriella, qui avait initialement annoncé un bilan de 111 morts, a annoncé l’instauration de l’état d’urgence.

A Pereira, dans la touristique « région du café » déjà frappée par un séisme qui avait fait près de 1.200 morts en 1999, des dizaines de morts sont recensés.

« On est sans courant. Honnêtement, on a vraiment l’impression d’être dans une ville de zombies, franchement, c’est très triste », a déclaré Juan David Gaitan, travailleur indépendant.

– « Une scène de film » –

« Honnêtement, je n’arrive toujours pas à y croire », confie Andres Hernandez, tatoueur. « J’ai eu l’impression d’être dans une scène de film, parce que je voyais les poteaux, les câbles, tout bouger. Je m’inquiète pour ma famille, mes amis. »

Dans la ville voisine de Manizales, à une cinquantaine de kilomètres de là, l’une des tours de la cathédrale s’est décrochée.

Dans la capitale Bogota, des habitants, parfois encore en pyjama, ont brièvement évacué leur immeuble lundi matin avant de regagner leur domicile, aucun dégât majeur n’ayant été signalé.

« Je suis sorti dans la rue en courant, sans rien, il y avait des centaines de personnes » dont certaines en train de prier, a témoigné Julian Peña, dentiste de Quibdo, la capitale du Choco.

À Cali dans le sud-ouest, l’une des villes les plus touchées, secouristes professionnels et improvisés enlevaient les décombres à mains nues à la recherche de signes de vie.

Nelson Moreno est venu sauver une amie coincée sous deux tours de cinq étages. Le père de son amie et le bébé de la jeune femme ont été retrouvés, blessés mais vivants.

« Maintenant, nous avons besoin de lampes de poche et de lunettes » à cause de la poussière, pour poursuivre les opérations de nuit, indique-t-il, entouré de centaines de volontaires.

Ces sauveteurs forment des chaînes humaines pour évacuer les décombres du bâtiment, avec des pioches et des outils rudimentaires.

Selon Asocapitales, 86 bâtiments se sont effondrés et l’activité de sept aéroports a été suspendue en raison des dégâts liés au séisme.

Rien qu’à Cali, on compte 188 disparus, a indiqué le président de la Espriella.

– « Désespérés » –

« Nous effectuons toutes les opérations nécessaires pour sortir les gens vivants », a déclaré Andrés Felipe Mejía, un secouriste volontaire dans la ville. Beaucoup de gens sont venus, avec de l’équipement, de la nourriture, pour aider les pompiers, pour aider les personnes », a-t-il ajouté.

Jusqu’à présent, 47 répliques ont été enregistrées, selon le service géologique colombien.

L’épicentre a été enregistré près de San José del Palmar, dans le Choco.

Wilmer Cuesta, un étudiant en droit venu aider les personnes ensevelies, raconte avoir vu « des gens sortir nus, se jeter du haut de leur maison, du deuxième étage, des gens désespérés ».

Face à l’ampleur du séisme, les messages de solidarité ont afflué du monde entier.

Plusieurs pays latino-américains ainsi qu’Israël, l’Espagne et la France, ont fait part de leur soutien.

L’Union européenne a annoncé avoir mobilisé son service satellitaire Copernicus pour faciliter les opérations de secours.

Les Etats-Unis, alliés du nouveau gouvernement, ont offert une aide de 15,5 millions de dollars pour faire face à l’urgence.

La star planétaire colombienne Shakira a, pour sa part, envoyé un message sur X : « toute ma force et tout mon amour à ma patrie ».

Le football a également été touché. Les matches prévus cette semaine ont été reportés après le séisme, tout comme deux rencontres en Colombie pour les coupes Libertadores et Sudamericana.

Le séisme a été ressenti jusqu’en Equateur, au Panama et au Venezuela, lui-même frappé le 24 juin par un double séisme de magnitude 7,2 et 7,5 ayant fait plus de 6.000 morts.

Ces pays sont situés sur la ceinture de feu du Pacifique, zone de forte activité sismique et volcanique due aux mouvements des plaques tectoniques, notamment la plaque de Nazca et la plaque Caraïbe qui plongent sous la plaque sud-américaine.

Ce bilan rapproche l’épidémie actuelle, qui se propage dans des régions de l’est et du nord-est en proie à des conflits, de celle de 2018-2020, la plus meurtrière à ce jour en RDC avec près de 2.300 morts pour 3.500 malades recensés.

La RDC a déclaré le 15 mai, avec plusieurs semaines de retard, sa 17e épidémie d’Ebola, déjà considérée comme la plus importante de son histoire et susceptible de « devenir la plus grande jamais enregistrée dans le monde », selon Sania Nishtar, directrice de l’Alliance du vaccin Gavi.

Partie de la province de l’Ituri (nord-est), elle s’est propagée à plusieurs provinces du nord-est et de l’est, notamment celle du Nord-Kivu, des régions où la présence de l’État est fragile et les infrastructures de santé largement démunies.

Le taux de mortalité de la flambée actuelle est estimé à 45,9% par les autorités sanitaires congolaises.

Les experts de l’OMS ont recommandé vendredi d’évaluer dans un essai clinique le vaccin Ervebo, seul vaccin homologué contre Ebola, faute de vaccin spécifique contre le variant Bundibugyo qui sévit actuellement en RDC.

Le chef de l’OMS, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, a salué sur X des « bonnes nouvelles ».

Selon les experts de l’OMS, les nombreuses données déjà disponibles, notamment sur la sécurité du vaccin Ervebo, permettent d’envisager une évaluation directement en phase 3, une étape généralement menée à grande échelle auprès de milliers de personnes.

Des doses d’Ervebo provenant du stock mondial de vaccins contre Ebola, créé et financé par l’Alliance du vaccin Gavi, devraient être mises à disposition pour soutenir les essais cliniques, a indiqué l’organisation dans un communiqué publié après celui de l’OMS.

Ce stock mondial de l’Ervebo, qui est produit par le laboratoire pharmaceutique américain Merck, compte environ 500.000 doses, dont certaines sont conservées en permanence en RDC en raison de la fréquence des épidémies dans le pays, a détaillé Gavi.

Créée en 2000, l’organisation Gavi réunit des donateurs publics et privés afin d’aider les pays en développement à se procurer des vaccins à des prix abordables.

Le Canada a par ailleurs autorisé le géant pharmaceutique américain Moderna à lancer des essais cliniques pour son vaccin contre Bundibugyo.

Deux autres candidats sont également en développement : le vaccin « rVSV Bundibugyo », présenté par l’OMS comme « le plus prometteur » et développé par Hilleman Laboratories, et un vaccin de l’université d’Oxford, dont le premier volontaire a reçu une dose fin juillet.

Les Etats-Unis ont annoncé mercredi avoir alloué plus de 242 millions de dollars supplémentaires pour lutter contre l’épidémie d’Ebola en RDC.

Ebola, qui se transmet par contact avec les fluides corporels et provoque une fièvre hémorragique, a tué plus de 15.000 personnes en Afrique au cours des 50 dernières années.

September 23 still feels far away.

But politically?

The countdown has already started.

Morocco is preparing for its legislative elections, scheduled for September 23, 2026, when voters will elect the members of the House of Representatives.

And the campaign is starting to move onto the ground.

Political parties are holding meetings.

Candidates are mobilizing.

Local campaigns are taking shape.

And for young Moroccans…

There’s one question that matters more than all the political speeches:

Can I actually vote?

Here’s the simple version.

If you’re Moroccan and you’re 18 years old—or turning 18 on September 23, 2026—you can be eligible to vote, provided you meet the legal requirements and are registered on the electoral lists.

And here’s the important part.

You can’t just show up on election day and register at the polling station.

Your name needs to be on the electoral list.

The official registration period for new voters ran from May 15 to June 13, 2026. So if you weren’t registered during that window, you can’t newly register now for this election through the ordinary procedure.

But you can—and absolutely should—check your registration status.

The Ministry of the Interior provides two easy ways to do it:

Go to the official electoral-list portal, listeselectorales.ma,

or send an SMS to the free number 2727 to verify your electoral information.

And there’s another important detail.

If you’ve moved since registering…

Your electoral address matters.

The authorities conducted an exceptional revision of the lists between May 15 and July 10, including transfers and updates of electoral addresses.

As of July, the updated electoral register contained around 15.8 million registered voters, including roughly 391,000 new registrations during that revision operation.

So…

If you’re 18+ and think you’re registered…

Don’t assume. Check.

Because September 23 isn’t about knowing who your friends are voting for.

It’s about knowing that your own vote is actually available to you.

And this election matters beyond the ballot itself.

The people elected to the House of Representatives will participate in shaping legislation and the country’s political direction.

That eventually connects to things young Moroccans care about every day:

Jobs.

Education.

Healthcare.

Housing.

Zuckerberg imagines AI systems that become powerful enough to reason, create, learn and help people accomplish complex goals…

But with one major difference:

The intelligence should belong to everyone.

His vision is essentially:

Instead of one giant AI controlling everything…

Billions of people could eventually have their own extremely powerful AI assistant.

Something closer to a digital partner than a chatbot.

It could understand what you’re trying to accomplish…

Help you build a business…

Create content…

Learn new skills…

Solve problems…

And potentially become increasingly personalized to you.

And Zuckerberg wants Meta to put that technology in the hands of billions of people, including individuals and small businesses.

But there’s a catch.

Zuckerberg says one of the biggest dangers isn’t necessarily an evil AI escaping a laboratory.

His bigger concern?

One person, company or government having too much control over superintelligence.

In other words…

He doesn’t want one central AI system deciding everything for everyone.

He argues for a more distributed future…

Where people have access to powerful AI themselves.

And yes…

You can probably already see why Meta likes this idea.

Because Meta owns something almost nobody else has at the same scale.

Billions of users.

Instagram.

WhatsApp.

Facebook.

Meta AI.

If personal superintelligence becomes the next major computing platform…

Meta already has a direct pipeline to billions of potential users.

That’s the real strategy.

Meta isn’t simply trying to build another ChatGPT.

It’s trying to make AI part of your everyday digital life.

Your messages.

Your content.

Your business.

Your social network.

Maybe even your devices.

And that’s why this manifesto matters.

Because Zuckerberg isn’t talking about what AI can do today.

He’s talking about what he wants the AI ecosystem to look like tomorrow.

Of course…

This is still a vision.

Then the Netherlands.

And eventually…

You arrive in Morocco.

You might think you’ve escaped.

But then Moroccan authorities arrest you.

How?

One of the answers can be just three words:

Interpol Red Notice.

And that’s exactly what makes this latest operation interesting.

Moroccan authorities have arrested 11 people wanted in connection with international drug trafficking and money laundering networks involving France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

And according to the information released about the operation…

10 of those suspects were subject to Interpol Red Notices.

But here’s the part most people misunderstand.

A Red Notice is not an international arrest warrant.

Interpol doesn’t have a global police force that travels around arresting people.

Instead, think of a Red Notice as an international alert.

A country tells Interpol:

« We’re looking for this person. We believe they’re wanted for serious criminal charges or to serve a sentence. Please alert other member countries. »

Interpol then distributes that information to police authorities around the world.

So if that person crosses a border…

Local authorities can identify them.

And potentially detain them, depending on the laws of that country.

That’s where things get interesting.

Because a Red Notice doesn’t automatically mean the person will be arrested everywhere.

Each country decides what legal effect the notice has under its own national law.

The final decision can involve courts, extradition procedures and bilateral agreements.

So imagine it like this.

France wants someone.

That person becomes the subject of an Interpol Red Notice.

Moroccan authorities receive the alert.

The individual enters Morocco.

Police identify them.

They’re arrested.

Then…

The legal process begins.

Morocco can examine whether the person can actually be extradited to the country requesting them.

So the arrest isn’t necessarily the end of the story.

It’s the beginning of another legal process.

And that’s why international police cooperation matters.

Criminal networks don’t respect borders.

A drug trafficking operation can be organized in one country…

Move money through another…

Store drugs somewhere else…

And have suspects living thousands of kilometers away.

Police therefore have to work internationally too.

That’s where organizations like Interpol become useful.

The Moroccan operation is a good example.

French, Belgian and Dutch authorities may have information on suspects.

Interpol can circulate international alerts.

And Moroccan authorities can act when those individuals are located inside the Kingdom.

It’s basically the opposite of what criminals want.

They might cross borders…

But their information follows them.

And that’s becoming increasingly important as organized crime becomes more international.

The key thing to remember is simple:

Red Notice ≠ automatic international arrest warrant.

It’s an international police alert that can help authorities locate and provisionally detain a wanted person, subject to national law.

So when you see the words « Interpol Red Notice » in a headline…

Don’t imagine some magical global arrest warrant.

Think:

« This person is internationally flagged, and police forces around the world have been asked to look out for them. »

And in this case…

That cooperation helped Moroccan authorities locate 11 people allegedly connected to a transnational criminal network.

Different countries.

Different police forces.

One investigation.

And one increasingly connected international security system.

The real question is…

If criminals can build networks that cross borders in seconds, can international police cooperation keep getting faster than the criminals themselves?

Because the Moroccan textile industry employs hundreds of thousands of people, directly and indirectly.

For decades, Morocco built a major part of its textile business around one model:
