Marvel is preparing its most ambitious crossover in years.
And to make sure the event feels special, the studio brought back the men behind Infinity War and Endgame:

First, the release date.
Avengers: Doomsday is officially scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
It will serve as one of the major pillars of Marvel’s Phase Six and pave the way for Avengers: Secret Wars, which arrives one year later in December 2027.

For the first time since Iron Man’s sacrifice in Endgame, Robert Downey Jr. is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

However, current information suggests that heroes from different universes—including the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and X-Men—will be forced to unite against Doctor Doom as the Multiverse faces a catastrophic threat.

Interestingly, the Russo Brothers say the movie will feel like a fresh start rather than a direct continuation of everything that came before.
