Marvel has revealed an incredible lineup for Avengers: Doomsday…
But one major name is still missing.
Despite the massive cast announcement featuring the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men and Doctor Doom, Spider-Man has not been officially confirmed. Neither Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire nor Andrew Garfield currently appear in Marvel’s announced cast, fueling intense fan speculation.

The absence is surprising.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to be the last MCU movie released before Avengers: Doomsday, leading many fans to expect Peter Parker to play a key role in the crossover. Instead, everything revealed so far suggests Brand New Day will focus on a more grounded, street-level story set in New York.

That doesn’t necessarily mean Spider-Man won’t appear.
Marvel Studios is famous for keeping major surprises under wraps, and the Russo brothers have a long history of hiding important characters until release.
Several reports suggest Marvel could simply be keeping Spider-Man’s role secret to avoid spoilers.

The announced cast is already enormous.
The film will bring together heroes from the MCU, the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers, Wakanda, and even the original X-Men films, with Robert Downey Jr. returning as Doctor Doom.

If Spider-Man truly skips Doomsday, many fans believe it’s because Marvel is saving him for an even bigger role in Avengers: Secret Wars, where Peter Parker could become one of the saga’s central characters. For now, however, that’s still speculation rather than an official confirmation.

For now, Spider-Man is the biggest name missing from Avengers: Doomsday. But with Marvel, an absent name on a cast list doesn’t always mean an absent hero on the big screen.
