What’s hot today?

From a diplomatic fight between the United States and Canada…

to a major debate over protecting minors online…

deadly floods in Asia…

and a massive new desalination project in Morocco.

Let’s get into it.

First, Canada and the United States are back at it.

This time, the fight is literally about a lake.

A new decree has reportedly renamed Lake Ontario, adding another layer to the already tense relationship between Washington and Ottawa.

On paper, it might sound like a simple name change.

But politically?

It’s much bigger than that.

The dispute comes as tensions between the two countries continue around trade, sovereignty and political influence.

And when something as symbolic as a geographical name becomes part of the confrontation…

you know the relationship is getting seriously complicated.

For Canadians, it’s about national identity.

For Americans, it’s another example of Washington asserting its influence.

And online?

People are obviously turning the whole thing into a massive debate.

But while governments argue over names…

Europe is dealing with a very different problem:

how to protect children online.

After an agreement reached in the United States concerning protections for minors, European authorities are now expecting stronger commitments from Meta.

The issue is becoming increasingly important as teenagers spend more and more time on social platforms.

The question is simple:

How much responsibility should platforms have for protecting minors from harmful content, addictive features and potentially dangerous online interactions?

For companies like Meta, this means more pressure to prove that their platforms are not simply designed to maximize screen time…

but can actually provide stronger protections for younger users.

And this isn’t just a European issue.

It’s a global conversation.

Because whether you’re in Casablanca, Paris, London or New York…

young people are living a huge part of their social lives online.

Now let’s move to Asia.

Nepal and Tibet are facing a devastating humanitarian situation after massive floods.

The latest reports mention 273 deaths and more than 1,300 people missing.

Entire communities have been affected, while rescue teams are working in extremely difficult conditions.

And when disasters like this happen, the numbers can almost become abstract.

Hundreds dead.

Thousands missing.

But behind every number is a person…

a family…

a home…

and an entire community trying to survive.

The scale of these floods is once again putting extreme weather and disaster preparedness under the spotlight.

And while one part of the world is dealing with too much water…

Morocco is continuing to fight another problem:

not having enough of it.

In the Souss-Massa region, a major desalination project is being planned with a capacity of around 350 million cubic meters of water.

And that’s huge.

Desalination basically means taking seawater…

removing the salt…

and turning it into usable freshwater.

For a country facing increasing pressure on its water resources, projects like this are becoming strategically essential.

Agriculture.

Drinking water.

Industry.

All of these sectors depend on reliable water supplies.

And Souss-Massa is particularly important because the region is one of Morocco’s major agricultural areas.

So this isn’t simply an infrastructure project.

It’s part of a much bigger question:

How does Morocco secure enough water for the future?

And finally…

we’re coming back to something that could directly affect thousands of Moroccan workers.

France is moving toward tighter restrictions on telephone prospecting, and around 50,000 Moroccan jobs could potentially be exposed because of the strong presence of Morocco’s call-center industry serving French companies.

For years, Morocco has been one of the major destinations for French-language customer service and telemarketing.

The reason is obvious:

French-speaking talent…

competitive costs…

and an established outsourcing industry.

But if France significantly restricts unsolicited commercial calls, companies that depend heavily on this business model could be forced to adapt.

And that could mean changes for Moroccan call centers…

and potentially for workers whose jobs depend on them.

The important point is that this doesn’t necessarily mean 50,000 jobs disappear overnight.

The real question is how companies respond.

They could shift employees toward customer support.

Digital sales.

Back-office operations.

Or other services that aren’t affected in the same way.

So for Morocco, this is something worth watching very closely.

Because one decision made in France…

could have consequences for an entire sector thousands of kilometers away.

And that’s your What’s Hot Today.

A diplomatic fight over a lake.

Europe putting more pressure on Meta over minors.

Deadly floods in Nepal and Tibet.

Morocco preparing another massive desalination project.

And France potentially shaking up an industry that employs tens of thousands of Moroccans.

Different stories…

but one common point:

what happens abroad can have very real consequences here.

The gaming industry is laying people off.

Studios are closing.

Big publishers are cutting costs.

And yet…

a small gaming startup just raised $18 million.

Meet W4 Games.

The company focuses on technology designed to make game development easier, and this new funding is all about one thing:

going international.

The plan is to expand the team and push the company’s technology into more markets around the world.

And that’s interesting because it tells us something important about the gaming industry.

The money hasn’t disappeared.

It’s moving.

While major studios are struggling with massive budgets, long development cycles and waves of layoffs, investors are still willing to bet heavily on companies building the technology behind games.

And that’s where W4 Games comes in.

Instead of trying to compete with PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo…

they’re building the infrastructure and tools that developers can actually use.

Think about it like this:

You don’t necessarily have to create the next GTA to make money from gaming.

You can build the technology that helps other studios create their games.

And for young developers in Morocco…

that’s a pretty important message.

Because when people talk about careers in gaming, they usually imagine one thing:

Becoming a game developer at a huge studio.

But the industry is much bigger than that.

There’s programming.

Game engines.

Tools development.

Cloud infrastructure.

AI.

Animation.

Technical art.

Backend systems.

And companies like W4 Games show that there’s an entire ecosystem behind the games we actually play.

The other interesting part is the international expansion.

A company doesn’t necessarily need to be based in a gaming capital to hire global talent anymore.

If you’ve got the skills…

your potential employer could be thousands of kilometers away.

And that’s particularly relevant for Moroccan developers.

You can build your portfolio locally…

work remotely…

contribute to international projects…

and potentially enter an industry that historically wasn’t easy to access from Morocco.

Now, obviously, an $18 million funding round doesn’t guarantee that W4 Games becomes the next gaming giant.

Startups can fail.

Markets can change.

And funding doesn’t automatically translate into success.

But it does send a signal.

Investors still believe there’s money to be made in gaming technology.

Even during one of the industry’s toughest periods.

So if you’re a Moroccan developer dreaming about working in gaming…

don’t just look at the studios making the games.

Look at the companies building the technology behind them.

Because sometimes…

the next big opportunity in gaming…

isn’t the game itself.

It’s the technology that makes the game possible.

Tim Curry has died at 80.

And if the name doesn’t immediately ring a bell…

you’ve almost certainly encountered his work.

Curry passed away peacefully at his Los Angeles home on August 25, leaving behind a career that stretched across cinema, television, theatre and video games.

For many people, he’ll forever be Dr. Frank-N-Furter from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

For others…

he’s Pennywise.

That terrifying clown from the 1990 adaptation of Stephen King’s It.

Or maybe you remember him as Wadsworth, the ridiculously fast-talking butler from Clue.

Or the concierge in Home Alone 2.

Or Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island.

That’s the crazy thing about Tim Curry.

He wasn’t just one character.

He was everywhere.

And gamers knew his voice too.

Curry became a major voice actor throughout his career, lending his distinctive voice to animated series and games, including Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Peter Pan & the Pirates, for which he won a Daytime Emmy.

That voice was impossible to confuse.

Smooth.

Deep.

Sometimes charming.

Sometimes absolutely terrifying.

And that’s exactly why he could move so effortlessly between comedy, horror and animation.

One moment you’re laughing at him…

The next…

he’s terrifying you.

His career started on stage, including the original London production of Hair, before The Rocky Horror Showtransformed him into a cult icon. The 1975 movie adaptation eventually became one of cinema’s most enduring cult classics.

And even decades later, his performances kept finding new generations.

That’s especially true for gamers.

Because voice acting has a strange power.

You might forget an actor’s name…

but remember exactly how a character sounded.

And Tim Curry had one of those voices.

A voice that could instantly give a character personality.

Even after suffering a major stroke in 2012, he continued making appearances and working in voice and screen roles, including a return to film in 2024.

He was 80.

And his legacy isn’t limited to one movie, one character or one generation.

It’s scattered across horror.

Comedy.

Theatre.

Animation.

And gaming.

So if you grew up watching cartoons or playing games and suddenly realize:

« Wait… THAT was Tim Curry? »

You’re definitely not alone.

Because that’s probably the perfect way to remember him.

Not just as a legendary actor…

but as a voice and a presence that somehow kept showing up everywhere.

Tim Curry is gone.

But Frank-N-Furter.

Pennywise.

Wadsworth.

And all those unforgettable voices?

They’re staying with us.

336 million views.

Let that number sink in.

Not a Netflix production.

Not a music video with a massive budget.

Not some crazy cinematic masterpiece.

Just a truck driver…

A phone…

And a lip-sync filmed in one take.

And somehow…

336 million people watched it.

That’s what makes this kind of viral moment so fascinating.

Because the video is ridiculously simple.

No complicated transitions.

No expensive camera.

No giant production team.

No hours spent editing every second.

Just someone pressing record…

doing their thing…

and posting it.

Then the internet did the rest.

And that’s the part creators need to understand.

We often think going viral means having the perfect setup.

Better camera.

Better lighting.

Better editing.

Better equipment.

But sometimes…

people don’t care about any of that.

They care about whether the video makes them stop scrolling.

And this one clearly did.

The creator doesn’t look like he’s trying to manufacture a viral moment.

It feels spontaneous.

Natural.

Almost accidental.

And that’s exactly what makes it entertaining.

You watch it and think:

« Why am I still watching this? »

Then suddenly you’re at millions of views.

And then hundreds of millions.

That’s the weird beauty of internet culture.

A video that took almost nothing to produce can outperform content that took weeks to create.

And for creators just starting out…

that’s actually good news.

Because you don’t need a studio to start.

You don’t need a €5,000 camera.

You don’t need an editor.

You don’t even need a complicated concept.

You need an idea that makes someone stop scrolling.

Then…

you hit record.

Of course, that doesn’t mean every random phone video will get 336 million views.

There is no secret formula.

Timing matters.

The algorithm matters.

The audio matters.

And sometimes…

you just get insanely lucky.

But the lesson is still important.

Don’t confuse production value with entertainment value.

A perfectly edited video can get ignored.

A guy sitting in a truck with his phone can become a global phenomenon.

So if you’ve been waiting for the perfect equipment before posting your first video…

stop waiting.

Your phone is already a camera.

Your surroundings are already a set.

And your next idea…

could be the one that makes everyone stop scrolling.

336 million views.

One take.

One phone.

Zero excuses.

Twenty years.

Yeah…

To Love-Ru is officially 20 years old.

And to celebrate the anniversary, the iconic manga is getting a brand-new special one-shot.

For anyone who discovered the series back in the 2000s…

this is a serious nostalgia hit.

Because To Love-Ru wasn’t just another manga from that era.

It became one of those titles that an entire generation remembers instantly.

The chaotic comedy.

The ridiculous situations.

The endless misunderstandings.

The iconic characters.

And obviously…

the fanservice.

A lot of it.

But that’s also part of what made the series so recognizable.

You could pick up a chapter and have absolutely no idea how the characters were going to end up in the next ridiculous situation.

And somehow…

that was the whole point.

Twenty years later, the series is still recognizable enough that an anniversary chapter can immediately bring the old fanbase back.

And that’s what makes this one-shot interesting.

It’s not necessarily about starting a completely new era for To Love-Ru.

It’s a celebration.

A little reminder of a manga that helped define a very specific period of 2000s anime and manga culture.

And if you were reading it during high school…

you already know exactly what kind of nostalgia we’re talking about.

Back then, discovering manga wasn’t always as easy as opening an app and searching for whatever you wanted.

You’d hear about a series from a friend…

Find a volume…

Read scans…

Or spend way too much time looking for the next chapter.

And To Love-Ru was one of those titles that somehow always found its way into conversations.

Now, two decades later…

the series is getting another chapter.

Twenty years after the beginning.

That’s crazy when you think about it.

A manga you might remember reading as a teenager…

is now officially old enough to be celebrating its second decade.

And that’s the beautiful thing about anniversaries like this.

You don’t necessarily need a massive reboot.

Sometimes…

one new chapter is enough to bring an entire generation back.

So if To Love-Ru was part of your teenage manga era…

prepare yourself.

Because 20 years later…

the nostalgia is coming back.

Dragon Ball fans…

it’s happening again.

After months of silence, rumors about the return of the Dragon Ball Super manga are starting to heat up.

And before we get carried away…

nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

But there are enough signals circulating to make fans start paying attention.

The manga has been on hiatus for months, leaving one huge question hanging over the franchise:

When is Super coming back?

And now, that question is suddenly getting interesting again.

For fans, this isn’t just another manga returning from a break.

Dragon Ball Super is one of the biggest names in modern shonen.

Every new chapter becomes a global event.

A new transformation?

Instant debate.

A new technique?

Thousands of theories.

A single mysterious panel?

The internet loses its mind.

And that’s exactly why these new rumors are spreading so quickly.

But here’s where we need to separate what we know from what fans simply want to be true.

What we know is that the manga has been paused for an extended period.

What we don’t have yet is an official announcement confirming a precise return date.

So if you see someone online saying:

« Dragon Ball Super returns on this exact day! »

Take it with a grain of salt.

Right now, we’re still in rumor territory.

But the possibility of a return is enough to get the community speculating again.

And obviously…

the biggest question isn’t only when.

It’s:

What happens when it comes back?

Will the story immediately continue from where it stopped?

Will we get a completely new arc?

Which characters will take center stage?

And, of course…

what’s next for Goku and Vegeta?

We won’t spoil anything.

And honestly, until there’s official confirmation, there’s no point pretending we know the answers.

For now, the safest conclusion is simple:

The manga hasn’t officially announced its comeback yet.

But the rumors are getting loud enough that fans are watching very closely.

And if that official announcement finally arrives…

You already know what’s going to happen.

One new Dragon Ball panel drops…

and the entire internet stops functioning.

So don’t believe every rumor you see.

But definitely keep your eyes open.

Because after months of waiting…

Dragon Ball Super might finally be preparing to wake up again.

Forget the studio.

Forget the expensive camera.

Forget the complicated setup.

One chair.

One camera.

And a story.

That’s basically the formula behind one of the latest formats taking over TikTok and now Instagram.

You sit down…

Look straight into the camera…

And start talking like you’re being interviewed for a Netflix documentary.

And somehow…

it works.

The funny part is that the format looks ridiculously simple.

But that’s exactly why people are watching.

No crazy transitions.

No massive production.

No ten-second intro explaining what you’re about to say.

Just you…

sitting there…

telling a story.

And the more natural it feels, the better.

So how do you actually recreate it?

First: the setup.

Put your phone somewhere stable.

Frame yourself from around the chest up.

Sit somewhere simple, preferably with a background that doesn’t distract from you.

You don’t need a cinema camera.

Your phone is enough.

Second: the story.

This is the most important part.

Don’t start with:

« Hey guys, today I’m going to talk about… »

No.

Start directly with the thing that makes people curious.

Something happened.

Something went wrong.

You discovered something.

You witnessed something completely insane.

Give people a reason to stay for the next sentence.

And finally…

the delivery.

Don’t act like you’re presenting the evening news.

Talk naturally.

Pause.

Look at the camera.

Let the story breathe.

The whole point is to make people feel like they’re sitting across from you while you’re telling them something they weren’t supposed to know.

And that’s probably why this format is exploding.

We’re reaching a point where people are getting tired of content that feels too perfect.

Sometimes…

someone sitting on a chair telling a genuinely interesting story is more engaging than a video that took three days to edit.

And for Moroccan creators, this format is almost perfect.

You don’t need a studio.

You don’t need a huge budget.

You don’t even need a team.

You just need something worth telling.

So grab a chair.

Put your phone in front of you.

Find a story people actually want to hear…

and hit record.

Because apparently…

Netflix’s next documentary might just be you sitting in your bedroom.

Instagram is currently obsessed with one sentence:

“You never take me to Bangladesh.”

And somehow…

it keeps getting more ridiculous every time.

The trend uses an Ian McConnell track and starts with a pretty simple lip-sync.

Someone complains that their partner never takes them somewhere…

Then comes the escalation.

Another destination.

Another demand.

Another completely unexpected twist.

And before you know it…

the video has gone completely off the rails.

That’s basically the secret behind the trend.

It starts normal enough for you to understand what’s happening…

Then the creator keeps pushing the joke until the whole thing becomes absurd.

And that’s exactly why it’s so easy to copy.

You don’t need an insane setup.

You don’t need expensive equipment.

You don’t even need to be particularly creative.

You just need the audio…

a camera…

and one ridiculous idea.

And Morocco could absolutely run with this.

Imagine starting with:

“You never take me to Marrakech.”

Then Casablanca.

Then Tokyo.

Then…

Bangladesh.

And suddenly the comments are full of people trying to make the next version even more absurd.

That’s how these trends survive.

One person creates the format.

Someone else makes it funnier.

Another person completely destroys the original concept.

And suddenly…

everyone wants to participate.

The best part?

You can make it with your friends, your partner, your siblings, or even completely solo.

Just match the lip-sync…

follow the rhythm…

and make the demands increasingly ridiculous.

Don’t overthink it.

Because the second you try to make it too complicated…

you’ve already missed the point.

The whole joke is the escalation.

Start normal.

Add one unexpected demand.

Then another.

Then go completely insane.

And if your final line makes absolutely no sense…

perfect.

That’s the trend.

So if you’re looking for something easy to recreate this week…

You know what to do.

Grab the audio.

Get your camera ready.

And prepare to make the most unnecessary travel request imaginable.

Because apparently…

someone needs to take us to Bangladesh.

The post YOUTUBE JUST CHANGED HOW IT COUNTS VIEWS — AND YOUR NUMBERS COULD JUMP appeared first on La Nouvelle Tribune.

]]>
Creators…

check your YouTube analytics.

Because since August 24, YouTube has changed the way it counts views across its video formats.

And the result?

Your view counter could start climbing faster without you creating a single extra video.

Previously, the way a view was counted depended on the format.

Now, YouTube is aligning the system more broadly around a much simpler rule:

a view can be counted from the very first frame of playback.

So someone clicks your video…

The video starts…

boom.

That can count as a view.

And this matters because the number you see underneath your video is about to become an even bigger headline.

A creator with 100,000 views could potentially see noticeably higher view totals under the new system, simply because more plays are now being counted.

But here’s the part you absolutely need to understand:

This does NOT mean you’re suddenly getting paid more.

Your monetization hasn’t magically changed.

YouTube’s Partner Program still relies on qualified watch time and other eligibility requirements, not simply the number displayed underneath your video.

So don’t look at your new view count and think:

« I’m about to become rich. »

Not quite.

The real impact is on your public numbers.

And those numbers matter.

Especially if you’re a creator negotiating with brands.

Because when a company looks at your profile and sees 500,000 views instead of 350,000…

the perception changes.

Even if the underlying audience behavior hasn’t suddenly exploded.

That’s why this update is important for creators in Morocco too.

If you’re building a TikTok, YouTube or Instagram presence and trying to turn your audience into actual business…

your statistics are your résumé.

Views.

Engagement.

Watch time.

Audience.

Brands look at all of it.

And now one of those numbers is being calculated differently.

But don’t make the classic mistake of thinking:

more views = more money.

Not necessarily.

A million views that people abandon instantly isn’t the same as a million views with strong retention.

The smart creators will look beyond the big number.

How long are people watching?

Are they subscribing?

Are they commenting?

Are they coming back?

That’s where the real value is.

So yes…

Your YouTube counter might start looking a lot healthier.

But the goal isn’t to have a prettier number.

It’s to build an audience that actually cares.

Because YouTube just changed the way it counts the beginning of the view…

Nintendo players…

the wait is finally over.

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition arrives on Switch 2 on August 28, bringing the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree to Nintendo’s new console.

Yes…

Elden Ring.

On a Nintendo handheld.

And for players who’ve been watching everyone else explore the Lands Between for years…

this is a pretty big deal.

Because Elden Ring isn’t exactly a small game.

It’s a massive open world.

Brutal bosses.

Dozens of weapons and builds.

And enough ways to die to make you question your life choices.

Now the entire experience is coming to Switch 2 in a version specifically optimized for the console.

And that’s where things get interesting.

The biggest question isn’t whether Elden Ring is coming.

We know that.

The question is:

How well does it actually run?

Compared with the PS5 and Xbox Series versions, the Switch 2 version has to deal with completely different hardware constraints.

So don’t expect identical performance.

The big advantage?

Portability.

Being able to explore the Lands Between on a Nintendo handheld changes the experience completely.

You’re sitting on the couch?

Elden Ring.

Going somewhere?

Elden Ring.

You’ve got twenty minutes to kill?

You can still get destroyed by a boss.

And there’s something particularly satisfying about finally seeing a game this huge arrive on Nintendo hardware.

For years, Switch players have watched from the sidelines while PlayStation and Xbox players talked about Malenia, Radahn and all the other nightmares waiting for them.

Now…

it’s your turn.

And if you’ve never played Elden Ring before, you’ve got an enormous adventure waiting for you.

Base game.

Shadow of the Erdtree.

A gigantic world.

And absolutely no guarantee that you’ll understand what the hell is happening at first.

But that’s part of the experience.

You explore.

You get destroyed.

You learn.

You come back stronger.

And eventually…

you destroy the thing that destroyed you.

So August 28 isn’t just another port.

For Nintendo players, it’s finally the chance to experience one of the biggest games of the decade…

wherever they want.

The Lands Between is opening its doors.

Just remember one thing:

don’t throw the Switch.

Gamescom 2026 just went absolutely crazy.

Geoff Keighley took the stage…

and then the trailers started coming.

Two hours of reveals, surprises and new games, with social media basically exploding in real time.

And among all those announcements, two titles immediately stood out.

First…

a brand-new game from the studio behind Genshin Impact.

But forget the colorful open-world vibe for a second.

This one is looking much darker.

The visuals are giving serious Elden Ring energy, with a darker fantasy atmosphere that instantly caught everyone’s attention.

And considering the studio’s track record…

people are already watching this one very closely.

Then came another surprise.

An action RPG heavily inspired by Chinese mythology, bringing legendary creatures, ancient stories and a completely different visual identity to the genre.

And honestly…

it looks incredible.

That’s what made this Gamescom opening so interesting.

It wasn’t just another collection of sequels and predictable announcements.

There were genuine surprises.

New worlds.

New studios.

New gameplay ideas.

And enough trailers to completely destroy everyone’s gaming backlog.

But these two weren’t the only games getting people talking.

Across X and Reddit, gamers were immediately ranking their favorite reveals, analyzing every frame and trying to figure out which of these new titles could become the next big thing.

And that’s basically the Gamescom effect.

You watch one trailer…

Then another…

Then suddenly you’re adding five games to your wishlist that you didn’t even know existed an hour earlier.

For Moroccan gamers, it’s especially interesting because Gamescom has become one of those events where the entire gaming community can discover what’s coming next at the same time.

Whether you’re into RPGs, action games, fantasy or completely new experiences…

there was something here for you.

And if you missed the show?

Don’t worry.

Because we’re already going through the biggest announcements.

The games that surprised everyone.

The ones that look genuinely promising.

And the ones that might disappear from everyone’s radar in three months.

So, among everything Gamescom just showed us…

which game actually deserves your attention?

The next big RPG could have just been revealed.

And judging by the reaction online…

2026 isn’t finished surprising gamers yet.

Three years.

That’s how long fans of Berserk of Gluttony have been waiting.

And now…

Season 2 is officially happening in 2027.

If you missed the first season, don’t worry.

This isn’t your typical cheerful isekai where the main character gets transported to another world and immediately becomes everyone’s favorite hero.

Berserk of Gluttony goes somewhere much darker.

Its protagonist, Fate, is born with an ability that seems completely useless…

until he discovers what it can actually do.

And that’s when everything changes.

Because his power isn’t simply about becoming stronger.

It’s about taking power from the enemies he defeats.

Sounds cool, right?

Well…

there’s a catch.

A pretty serious one.

The more Fate uses his ability, the more dangerous his own hunger becomes.

And that’s where the series gets interesting.

Instead of giving us a completely overpowered hero with no consequences, the story plays with the idea of power becoming something you can barely control.

It’s dark fantasy.

It’s violent.

It’s edgy.

And sometimes…

very, very anime.

But if you’re into isekai with a darker atmosphere, Berserk of Gluttony is definitely worth putting on your radar.

Especially now that Season 2 is coming.

Because you have an entire year to discover what all the hype is about before the new episodes arrive in 2027.

And trust me…

you don’t want to start Season 2 wondering who everyone is.

So if you’ve been looking for something to binge after the usual isekai recommendations…

This might be your next one.

One cursed ability.

One increasingly dangerous protagonist.

A whole lot of dark fantasy.

And now…

a second season on the way.

2027 is when Berserk of Gluttony returns.

So you’ve got plenty of time.

Go catch up before Fate gets hungry again.

Getting from Casablanca to another city just got a lot more interesting.

inDrive “City to City” is blowing up in Morocco.

Demand for the service reportedly jumped by 85% in just six months during the first half of 2026.

And that tells us something pretty interesting about how Moroccans are moving around the country.

Because when you think about an intercity trip, you usually have the same options.

Train.

Bus.

Grand taxi.

Or your own car.

But now…

there’s another option.

inDrive’s intercity service connects passengers with drivers willing to make trips between cities, with the platform built around its usual model of connecting users and drivers directly.

And for young Moroccans, that can be particularly interesting.

You’re going to Marrakech for the weekend?

Rabat for work?

Tangier to see friends?

Instead of automatically checking the train or bus…

you can check inDrive too.

And the biggest question isn’t really whether the app works.

It’s:

Is it actually cheaper?

Because that’s where things get interesting.

The price of an intercity trip can vary depending on the route, timing, demand and the driver.

So you could potentially find a competitive price…

but you shouldn’t assume it’s automatically cheaper than every traditional option.

The smart move?

Compare.

Check the inDrive price.

Check the train.

Check the bus.

And if you’re traveling with friends, calculate the price per person.

That’s when a car-based option can become particularly interesting.

And the 85% increase in demand suggests that a lot of people are already doing exactly that.

They’re looking for flexibility.

They’re looking for competitive prices.

And most importantly…

they want more options.

Because transportation in Morocco isn’t just about getting from A to B anymore.

For younger travelers especially, it’s about finding the fastest, cheapest and most convenient way to move.

And if an app can make that easier?

People are going to use it.

So before your next intercity trip, don’t just check one option.

Compare everything.

Because that 200 or 300 dirhams you thought you had to spend…

might have a cheaper route hiding in your phone.

And with demand jumping 85%, inDrive clearly thinks Moroccan travelers have already started figuring that out.

Ricky Gervais is back.

And this time…

he’s bringing the cats.

Netflix is getting ready to release Alley Cats, a new animated comedy created by the British comedian known for one very specific thing:

making people laugh… and immediately start arguing online.

Because with Gervais, you pretty much know what you’re getting.

Dark humor.

Provocation.

Awkward situations.

And jokes that make you think:

« Did he really just say that? »

That’s basically become part of his brand.

And animation gives him even more freedom to push that style.

With Alley Cats, the idea isn’t to create another cute animated show you can casually watch with the family.

This is much more in the territory of adult comedy.

And that’s exactly why Gervais is such an interesting choice.

Because he’s one of those comedians who can turn a completely ordinary situation into something incredibly uncomfortable…

then somehow make it hilarious.

But why does he divide people so much?

It’s simple.

He doesn’t really care about staying comfortable.

His comedy regularly touches subjects that other comedians might avoid.

Religion.

Death.

Social conventions.

Political correctness.

Human stupidity.

And sometimes…

he deliberately crosses the line just to see where the line actually is.

For his fans, that’s precisely the appeal.

For his critics…

well…

that’s precisely the problem.

And that’s why every new Ricky Gervais project tends to create the same cycle.

Trailer drops.

People laugh.

Someone gets offended.

The internet explodes.

And suddenly everyone’s talking about the show.

Which, let’s be honest…

is probably the best marketing strategy imaginable.

But Alley Cats isn’t interesting only because of the controversy.

Animation gives Gervais the opportunity to build a completely absurd world where the characters can do things that would be much harder to pull off in live action.

And if the humor matches the chaos…

Netflix could have another very bingeable adult comedy on its hands.

So if you’re into British humor…

sarcasm…

dark comedy…

and jokes that make you question whether you should actually be laughing…

put this one on your radar.

Because with Ricky Gervais…

you already know one thing.

Someone is going to be offended.

The real question is…

will you be laughing while it happens?

Gamers…

your next upgrade might be more expensive than you expected.

The Steam Deck has just seen a price increase in Japan, and while that doesn’t automatically mean the same thing will happen everywhere…

it’s a warning sign for the entire gaming industry.

The problem?

RAM.

The global memory market is under pressure, and that’s becoming a serious headache for hardware manufacturers.

Why does that matter to you?

Because RAM isn’t just something inside your PC.

Your console needs memory.

Your handheld needs memory.

Your gaming laptop needs memory.

And when the cost of producing that hardware goes up…

someone eventually has to pay for it.

And guess who that usually is?

Yep.

The consumer.

The Steam Deck is a perfect example.

Its Japanese distributor has raised prices, and that immediately raises a bigger question:

Could other markets follow?

Nobody can say for certain yet.

But the bigger issue is that gaming hardware is already becoming more expensive to produce.

And the memory situation could make that even worse.

Think about it.

A console manufacturer has two choices when component costs rise.

They can absorb the extra cost and accept lower margins…

Or they can increase the price.

And when we’re talking about millions of devices?

Even a relatively small increase per unit becomes a gigantic bill.

That’s why this isn’t just a Steam Deck story.

It’s potentially a PlayStation, Xbox, handheld and gaming PC story.

And for Moroccan gamers, there’s another layer.

We’re already dealing with imported hardware, currency fluctuations and local retailer margins.

So if international prices rise…

the impact can become even more noticeable here.

That shiny new handheld you’ve been watching?

Could cost more.

That gaming laptop you’ve been saving for?

Could cost more.

Even building a new PC could become more painful if memory prices continue climbing.

But here’s the important part:

Don’t panic and rush to buy everything tomorrow.

A price increase in Japan doesn’t automatically mean every market is about to get more expensive.

It’s simply a signal that the pressure is real.

And if the memory crisis continues…

manufacturers will eventually have to decide who absorbs the extra cost.

So the next time you see a gaming device getting more expensive…

don’t just blame the company.

Look inside the machine.

Because something as boring as RAM could be quietly making your entire gaming setup more expensive.

And if you’re planning an upgrade soon…

keep an eye on those prices.

Because your next console might not be getting more powerful…

just more expensive.

Bridgerton fans…

something is changing.

New details surrounding Season 5 are starting to emerge, and some of them are making fans wonder whether the series is slowly entering its final chapter.

The biggest clue?

Some familiar characters are reportedly getting smaller roles.

And if you’ve been watching Bridgerton from the beginning, you know exactly why that matters.

This series has always been built around its rotating cast of characters.

One season focuses on one love story…

Then the spotlight moves to someone else.

But when characters who’ve been part of the show’s identity start appearing less…

fans notice.

And that’s exactly what’s happening now.

New casting and filming details suggest that certain returning characters won’t have the same presence they had in previous seasons.

That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re disappearing completely.

But it could signal a shift.

The show may be preparing to move even further toward the next generation of stories…

while gradually closing the door on some of the characters we’ve followed since the beginning.

And that’s where the theories start.

Could this be part of the natural evolution of the series?

Absolutely.

Bridgerton is based on a book series with multiple romantic stories, so changing the focus has always been part of the formula.

But there’s another possibility.

Netflix could be preparing audiences for the final stretch.

Not necessarily the immediate end…

but the beginning of the end.

And that’s a very different feeling.

Because Bridgerton isn’t just another Netflix show anymore.

It’s become one of the platform’s biggest global franchises.

The costumes.

The romances.

The scandals.

Lady Whistledown.

The memes.

The TikTok edits.

And that ridiculously addictive combination of period drama and modern pop culture.

So when fans start noticing changes in the cast…

they start asking questions.

Who gets more screen time?

Who gets less?

Which characters are being pushed forward?

And most importantly…

who’s story could be next?

For now, we don’t have enough information to say that Season 5 is actually the beginning of the end.

But the clues are interesting.

And if the show continues moving characters around the way these early reports suggest…

Season 5 could feel very different from the Bridgerton we’ve known.

So don’t panic yet.

Bridgerton isn’t ending tomorrow.

But the era we’ve been watching since Season 1?

It might slowly be changing.

And if there’s one thing we know about this show…

When Lady Whistledown starts dropping clues…

you pay attention.

]]>
Every year, Aïd Al Mawlid comes with a traditional royal pardon in Morocco.

And this year, 634 people are concerned.

The announcement was made on the occasion of the celebration of the birth of the Prophet, in line with a practice that takes place on certain national and religious occasions.

But what exactly does a royal pardon mean?

Basically, it is a decision that can affect the execution of a criminal sentence.

Depending on the individual case, it can involve a reduction of a prison sentence, a remission of the remaining sentence, or other forms of pardon provided for by Moroccan law.

And that’s an important distinction.

A royal pardon doesn’t automatically mean that every person concerned is simply released from prison.

The measure can take different forms depending on the decision made for each beneficiary.

That’s why these announcements are closely followed by families across Morocco.

For some, it’s simply another institutional announcement.

For others…

it can completely change a family’s life.

A person serving a long sentence could see their remaining time reduced.

Someone nearing the end of their sentence could potentially see their release brought forward.

And in certain cases, the decision can have consequences beyond the prison itself, affecting the person’s ability to rebuild their life after incarceration.

As for the criteria?

There isn’t a simple public formula like:

« If you committed X crime, you automatically qualify. »

Royal pardons are granted through an institutional process, with individual cases examined before the final decision.

So when you see a number like 634 beneficiaries, it doesn’t mean that 634 people all received exactly the same measure.

Each case can be different.

And that’s really the key thing to understand.

The royal pardon is not an ordinary court decision.

It’s a prerogative exercised by the King, traditionally announced on major national and religious occasions.

For Aïd Al Mawlid, this practice has a particular symbolic dimension, combining the religious occasion with a measure that can offer relief to people serving sentences and their families.

So behind those 634 names

There are potentially hundreds of completely different stories.

Different sentences.

Different circumstances.

Different families waiting for news.

And for some of them, this announcement could mean one thing above everything else:

a second chance.

Wait…

Riyad Mahrez at Wydad Casablanca?

Yeah, you read that correctly.

The name of the Algerian superstar has reportedly appeared among the potential targets being considered by Wydad as the club looks to strengthen its squad.

And obviously…

Moroccan football Twitter immediately exploded.

Because we’re not talking about some random player.

We’re talking about Riyad Mahrez.

Former Manchester City star.

Premier League champion.

Champions League winner.

African football icon.

And now his name is being linked with one of Morocco’s biggest clubs.

But before everyone starts making the jerseys…

slow down.

At this stage, this is a transfer rumor, not a done deal.

There is no confirmation that Wydad has actually reached an agreement with Mahrez.

And that’s the most important part of this story.

Because the transfer window is basically the perfect environment for rumors to go completely out of control.

Someone mentions a big name…

A page posts it…

Another account reposts it…

And suddenly, three hours later, everyone’s convinced the player has already signed.

But could Mahrez actually be an interesting target for Wydad?

From a football perspective…

Absolutely.

His experience alone would be enormous.

We’re talking about a player who’s played at the highest level in Europe, competed in Champions League nights and won basically everything there is to win at club level.

And imagine that experience inside a Wydad squad.

Imagine the atmosphere.

Imagine Mahrez walking into the stadium.

Casablanca would go absolutely insane.

But there’s one gigantic question:

Would the deal actually be realistic?

Mahrez is currently playing in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ahli, and bringing in a player of his profile would obviously require serious financial muscle.

Salary.

Contract.

Transfer conditions.

Everything would have to line up.

So for now…

don’t book the presentation ceremony just yet.

The interesting part is that the rumor itself tells us something.

Wydad is clearly looking to operate on a different level when it comes to attracting major names.

And if a player like Mahrez is genuinely being considered…

That would be a serious statement of ambition.

For now, though:

Rumor? Yes.

Confirmed transfer? Absolutely not.

So is Mahrez to Wydad a real possibility…

or just another mercato fantasy that exploded on social media?

Right now, we’re still waiting for the answer.

But let’s be honest…

If Wydad actually pulls this off?

The Casablanca derby just got a whole new level of spice.

If you’re voting in Morocco for the first time this year, this is something you actually need to check.

Starting today, Moroccan voters can find out exactly where they’re supposed to vote for the September 23 elections.

And yes…

You can check it in about 30 seconds.

You don’t need to wait until election day to figure it out.

You can simply use the official voter information service, enter your details, and find the polling station assigned to you.

Your goal is simple:

Know the location before September 23.

Because the last thing you want on election day is to show up somewhere, look around and realize:

« Wait… I’m not even supposed to vote here. »

And if this is your first election, this is especially important.

You might know your neighborhood.

You might know your city.

But that doesn’t necessarily mean you know the exact polling station assigned to you.

So check it now.

Take a screenshot.

Save the address.

And when election day arrives, you already know exactly where you’re going.

It’s a tiny step…

but it can save you a massive headache.

And if you’re eligible to vote, don’t wait until September 23 to start figuring everything out.

30 seconds today.

That’s it.

Check your polling station, save the information, and you’re ready.

Know where you’re voting before you need to know.

The Moroccan delegation has picked up four more medals in Taranto, Italy, with athletes stepping onto the podium across different disciplines.

And this is exactly why events like the Mediterranean Games are worth watching.

Because while everyone knows the biggest football stars…

There are Moroccan athletes competing at a seriously high level in sports that don’t always get the same spotlight.

Different disciplines.

Different stories.

Same flag.

And every new medal adds to Morocco’s presence across the Mediterranean sporting scene.

What makes this even more interesting is the variety.

These aren’t just medals coming from one dominant sport.

They’re coming from athletes who have spent years training, competing and building their careers without necessarily becoming household names.

And suddenly…

they’re on the podium.

For some of them, this could be the moment that puts their name on the radar of a much wider Moroccan audience.

That’s why these results matter beyond the medal count.

Because when a Moroccan athlete wins in a less-followed discipline, it can introduce an entire generation of fans to a sport they might never have watched before.

And that’s the real win.

Four more medals.

Four more Moroccan athletes getting their moment.

And potentially…

four new names for Morocco to remember.

So while the football headlines continue to dominate the conversation, keep an eye on the rest of the delegation.

Because Morocco’s sporting story is much bigger than eleven players on a pitch.

And the podium in Taranto is proving it.

One Piece fans…

we’ve waited long enough.

The moment that has been teased, discussed and theorized about for years is finally getting the big-screen treatment.

God Valley is becoming a movie.

And yes…

THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING.

The announcement came during One Piece Day 2026, with Toei confirming ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY for summer 2027. The film will adapt the God Valley flashback from the manga, making this a very different kind of One Piece movie.

Because normally, One Piece movies give us completely new stories.

This time?

They’re going straight into the actual history of the world.

And that’s huge.

Because God Valley isn’t just some random event from the past.

It’s one of those moments that has been sitting in the background of One Piece for years…

A mysterious event that helped shape the world we’re watching today.

We’ve heard about it.

We’ve seen pieces of it.

We’ve had characters talk about it.

But for a long time, fans were left with one massive question:

What actually happened at God Valley?

Now…

we’re finally going to see it.

And here’s where the hype gets even crazier.

The event connects some of the biggest names in One Piece history, which means this movie has the potential to put legendary characters together in ways we’ve only been able to imagine.

And because the story comes directly from the manga’s God Valley flashback, this isn’t just nostalgia bait.

This is part of the actual One Piece story.

That’s what makes this announcement so important.

For years, fans have been saying:

« Just show us God Valley already. »

And now Oda and Toei basically answered:

« Fine. »

The movie is scheduled for summer 2027, which also lines up perfectly with the 30th anniversary of the One Piece manga.

So we’re potentially looking at a massive anniversary project…

Covering one of the most anticipated pieces of One Piece history…

on the big screen.

And honestly, the timing couldn’t be better.

The anime is currently entering the Elbaf era, while the manga continues pushing deeper into the world’s biggest mysteries.

So God Valley isn’t just a look backward.

It’s arriving at a point where the history of the world is becoming more important than ever.

And for anyone who’s been following One Piece for years…

You already know what that means.

Every tiny detail matters.

Every character.

Every conversation.

Every reveal.

Every frame.

Because when Oda finally decides to show something he’s kept mysterious for this long…

you pay attention.

And if you’re an anime-only fan, don’t worry.

We’re not going into spoilers here.

Just know this:

If you’ve ever heard One Piece fans say « God Valley » and wondered why everyone suddenly loses their mind…

now you know why the hype is real.

Summer 2027.

One Piece.

God Valley.

The story we’ve been waiting to actually see…

is finally coming to the big screen.

Metal Gear fans…

tomorrow is your day.

The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 arrives on August 27, bringing another selection of iconic entries from Kojima’s legendary stealth franchise to modern platforms.

And if you’ve never played Metal Gear before…

this might actually be the perfect time to start.

Because Metal Gear isn’t just about sneaking behind guards.

It’s about espionage, conspiracies, giant weapons, political manipulation…

And some of the most completely insane storytelling you’ll find in gaming.

But here’s the problem:

Where the hell do you even start?

The franchise has a complicated timeline.

Games were released in one order…

But the story jumps all over the place.

You’ve got different versions, different consoles, prequels, sequels…

And enough references to make your head spin.

So if you’re completely new, don’t panic.

You don’t necessarily need to play everything.

The easiest way to get into the series is to start with the Metal Gear Solid games and experience the evolution of the franchise from there.

And that’s part of what makes this collection so interesting.

For longtime fans, it’s a nostalgia trip.

For new players…

it’s basically a history lesson in stealth gaming.

Because Metal Gear helped establish mechanics that became standard across the genre.

Hiding in shadows.

Distracting guards.

Using the environment.

Planning your route instead of just shooting everyone.

And then there’s the boss fights.

Metal Gear bosses aren’t simply enemies with huge health bars.

They’re often bizarre, memorable and sometimes completely ridiculous in the best possible way.

You might go into a fight expecting a normal tactical battle…

And five minutes later you’re wondering:

« What the hell am I playing? »

That’s Metal Gear.

And then there are the cutscenes.

Oh, the cutscenes.

If you’re expecting a quick story between missions…

good luck.

Metal Gear has never been afraid of long conversations, political themes and massive plot twists.

But when it works?

It really works.

And that’s why the franchise still has such a loyal community decades later.

The second Master Collection gives longtime players another chance to revisit that era…

while giving newcomers an easier way to discover why this franchise became legendary in the first place.

So if you’ve never touched Metal Gear…

Don’t let the complicated timeline scare you.

Start with one game.

Learn the mechanics.

Get familiar with the characters.

And then let the rabbit hole consume you.

Because once Metal Gear gets you…

you’re not just playing a stealth game anymore.

You’re entering one of gaming’s weirdest, most ambitious and most unforgettable universes.

Master Collection Vol. 2 drops August 27.

And honestly…

the nostalgia is about to hit hard.

Star Wars fans…

forget everything you know about Star Wars games.

Because Star Wars: Zero Company is taking the galaxy in a completely different direction.

Instead of running around with a blaster, jumping into lightsaber fights or flying through space…

you’re going tactical.

The game arrives August 27 on PC, PS5 and Xbox, putting strategy at the center of the experience.

And that changes everything.

You’re not just reacting to what’s happening.

You’re planning.

Positioning your squad.

Choosing who moves first.

Using abilities at the right moment.

And figuring out how to turn a bad situation into a winning one.

Basically…

Star Wars meets tactical strategy.

And honestly, that’s a pretty interesting combination.

Because we’ve seen Star Wars games explore almost every corner of the universe.

Lightsaber combat.

Space battles.

Open-world exploration.

First-person shooting.

But a serious tactical experience?

That’s a different beast.

The big question is whether Star Wars can actually work when you slow everything down.

Because the magic of Star Wars has always been about movement.

Blasters flying everywhere.

Lightsabers clashing.

Ships exploding.

The Force going absolutely crazy.

Now imagine taking all of that…

And turning it into a battlefield where every move matters.

That’s where Zero Company could stand out.

Instead of asking:

« Can I defeat this enemy? »

The game asks:

« How do I defeat this entire situation? »

And that’s a completely different way of thinking.

You could have the perfect squad…

But put the wrong character in the wrong position?

You’re in trouble.

Waste an ability?

You might regret it.

Move too aggressively?

Suddenly the entire battlefield turns against you.

And that’s exactly what tactical games are good at.

They make you feel smart when a plan works…

And absolutely stupid when it doesn’t.

But there’s another reason this game is interesting.

It could introduce Star Wars to people who don’t necessarily care about traditional action games.

Maybe you’re not into Battlefront.

Maybe lightsaber combat isn’t your thing.

Maybe you prefer games where you can actually stop…

Look at the battlefield…

Think…

And then make your move.

This could be your Star Wars game.

And for longtime fans, there’s another question:

How much does the game actually expand the universe?

Because the best Star Wars games don’t just reuse the movies.

They make the galaxy feel bigger.

New characters.

New locations.

New conflicts.

New stories.

And if Zero Company can combine that with genuinely deep tactical gameplay…

we could have something very interesting.

So tomorrow, Star Wars isn’t just giving us another blaster.

It’s giving us a battlefield.

And this time…

your biggest weapon might be your brain.

K-drama fans…

September is looking dangerous.

Netflix has officially confirmed its next major Korean drama, The Scandal, and the casting alone is enough to get people talking.

Because the series brings together Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook.

Two huge names.

One screen.

And if you’ve watched Korean dramas for a while, you already know…

That’s a serious combination.

Son Ye-jin has built a reputation for carrying emotional, dramatic roles, while Ji Chang-wook has become one of the most recognizable faces in Korean television.

Now they’re finally sharing the spotlight.

And Netflix clearly knows exactly what it’s doing.

K-dramas have become one of the platform’s biggest global weapons, and the strategy is getting more ambitious every year.

Instead of simply producing Korean shows…

Netflix is increasingly treating them like global events.

Big casts.

Big budgets.

International releases.

And stories designed to travel far beyond South Korea.

Which is exactly why The Scandal is already getting attention months before its release.

But here’s what makes the duo particularly interesting.

This isn’t just about putting two famous actors in the same poster.

The entire appeal is seeing how their chemistry works once the cameras start rolling.

Are we getting romance?

Drama?

Manipulation?

Secrets?

Or something much darker?

Netflix isn’t giving everything away yet.

And honestly…

keep it that way.

Because sometimes the best way to enjoy a K-drama is knowing just enough to get curious…

and absolutely nothing that ruins the surprises.

What we do know is that The Scandal is scheduled to arrive in September 2026.

So yes…

the countdown has officially started.

And if you’re already looking for your next K-drama obsession, this is definitely one to keep on your radar.

Because when you combine Netflix…

a major Korean production…

Son Ye-jin…

Ji Chang-wook…

and a story that’s still being kept relatively mysterious…

you already have the recipe for a serious binge.

September is coming.

And judging by this cast…

your watchlist might not survive it.

After more than a decade of planning and construction, the Obama Presidential Center has finally opened its doors in Chicago.

And the inauguration was anything but quiet.

The official opening ceremony took place on June 18, followed by the opening of the campus and museum to the public on June 19. The whole weekend turned the South Side of Chicago into the center of attention, with huge crowds, performances and a very serious celebrity lineup.

And when we say star-studded…

We’re talking Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Common, Tems, Marc Anthony, The Roots, Bono and The Edge from U2, and Eddie Vedder all appearing during the celebration.

Basically…

Obama opened a presidential center and accidentally created a music festival.

But the biggest moment was obviously Barack and Michelle Obama themselves.

The ceremony brought together thousands of people in Chicago, including former presidents and international political figures, while Obama used his speech to reflect on his journey from community organizer on Chicago’s South Side to the White House.

And Michelle Obama had her own big moment, speaking about hope, community and the importance of bringing people together.

The symbolism is pretty strong.

This center isn’t in Washington.

It’s in Chicago, the city where Barack Obama began his political career and where he met Michelle.

So the building is designed to be more than just a museum about a former president.

It’s supposed to be a place where people can experience Obama’s story, but also explore American history, civic engagement, culture and community.

And visually…

the place is massive.

The campus covers about 19 acres and includes the museum, gardens, public art, a Chicago Public Library branch, a playground, a basketball court and the Sky Room overlooking the South Side and Lake Michigan.

So this isn’t exactly your classic presidential library where you walk through some documents and leave.

It’s designed more like an entire cultural destination.

And the museum itself tells the story of Barack and Michelle Obama, their families, their political journey and the people who influenced them.

But let’s be honest…

The opening ceremony is what got the internet talking.

Because seeing Obama standing on stage while Stevie Wonder performs, then watching Bono, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Tems and Christina Aguilera appear during the same event is not exactly your average museum opening.

It was basically:

politics meets Hollywood meets music history.

And thousands of people outside the center were watching the ceremony on giant screens during an official public watch party.

So even if you weren’t invited inside…

Chicago made sure you could still be part of the moment.

And now comes the interesting part.

The ceremony is over.

The celebrities have left.

The cameras have moved on.

But the Obama Presidential Center is supposed to become a permanent part of Chicago’s cultural landscape.

The museum is now open to visitors, and the center expects to attract hundreds of thousands of people every year.

So the real test begins now:

Can this become more than a monument to Obama’s presidency?

Can it become a genuine cultural destination?

A place where people actually go to learn, hang out, see exhibitions, attend events and experience Chicago?

If the opening weekend is anything to go by…

the interest is definitely there.

And for anyone watching from Morocco, there’s something pretty fascinating about the whole thing.

This isn’t just a museum opening.

It’s an example of how a former political figure can turn their personal history into a massive cultural institution.

One building…

One presidential legacy…

And an opening ceremony that basically looked like the guest list for the world’s most unexpected music festival.

The Obama Presidential Center is officially open.

And Chicago just got a new landmark.

Alibaba just showed us how expensive the AI race really is.

The Chinese tech giant reported a 75% year-on-year drop in net profit for the April-to-June quarter.

Profit fell from around 43.1 billion yuan to 10.5 billion yuan.

And yet…

Alibaba’s revenue actually increased by 9%, reaching almost 269 billion yuan.

So what’s happening?

Alibaba is spending like crazy on AI.

Its capital expenditure jumped 75% to around 67.7 billion yuan, roughly 10 billion dollars, with a major part going toward AI infrastructure and computing capacity.

And that’s the crazy part.

Alibaba isn’t losing money because nobody wants its products.

It’s spending enormous amounts of money trying to build the infrastructure for the next generation of AI.

More chips.

More data-center capacity.

More computing power.

More AI models.

More cloud infrastructure.

Basically…

Alibaba is paying the bill before it knows exactly how big the AI business will become.

And this is where the story gets interesting.

Because its AI business is actually showing strong growth.

Alibaba Cloud’s AI and computing revenue jumped 45% year-on-year, reaching around 48.4 billion yuan for the quarter. AI-related product revenue has also recorded triple-digit growth for twelve consecutive quarters, according to the company.

So you’ve got this bizarre situation:

AI is growing incredibly quickly…

while the cost of building that AI infrastructure is destroying short-term profitability.

It’s basically the ultimate tech-business dilemma:

Do you protect today’s profits, or spend billions trying to dominate tomorrow?

Alibaba has clearly chosen option two.

The company has committed to investing at least 380 billion yuan, roughly 56 billion dollars, over three years in cloud computing and AI infrastructure.

And now the company is doubling down even further.

Today, Alibaba announced plans to raise around $10.2 billion through a new share sale, with the money earmarked for AI development and infrastructure.

In other words…

Alibaba is asking investors for even more money to keep funding the AI race.

And investors aren’t exactly celebrating.

Alibaba’s shares dropped sharply after the announcement, showing that some shareholders are starting to question whether the enormous AI spending will actually generate enough returns.

So…

Is Alibaba making a terrible mistake?

Not necessarily.

Think about Amazon.

For years, Amazon sacrificed short-term profits to build warehouses, logistics infrastructure and cloud computing.

At the time, investors had to trust that all that spending would eventually create something much bigger.

And then AWS became one of the company’s most important businesses.

Alibaba is basically making a similar bet with AI.

Spend aggressively now…

Build the infrastructure…

Get customers…

Improve the technology…

And hopefully dominate the market later.

The difference?

AI is moving insanely fast.

If Alibaba invests billions today and the technology changes dramatically tomorrow, some of that infrastructure could become less valuable than expected.

That’s the risk.

But there’s also an opportunity.

Alibaba isn’t just trying to build an AI chatbot.

It’s trying to control a much larger ecosystem:

chips, computing, cloud services, AI models and enterprise applications.

And if businesses start depending heavily on Alibaba’s AI infrastructure…

That investment could eventually become extremely valuable.

So the real story isn’t:

« Alibaba lost 75% of its profit. »

It’s:

« Alibaba is deliberately accepting a massive short-term financial hit because it believes AI will be worth far more in the future. »

And that’s a gamble almost every major technology company is now making.

Microsoft.

Amazon.

Google.

Meta.

Alibaba.

They’re all spending enormous amounts on chips and data centers.

Because nobody wants to be the company that looks back in five years and says:

« We should have invested more. »

But there’s a limit.

At some point, investors will want to see results.

Because you can spend billions building the future…

but eventually, the future has to pay the bill.

And that’s the question Alibaba now has to answer:

Will AI become big enough to justify sacrificing 75% of today’s profit?

If the answer is yes…

This could eventually look like one of the smartest investments Alibaba ever made.

If the answer is no…

75% was just the beginning of the pain.

]]>
Bitcoin is moving again.

After weeks of relatively weak momentum, the world’s biggest cryptocurrency suddenly jumped more than 12% in just two days, climbing back above the $70,000 mark for the first time since June.

And one of the biggest catalysts?

Washington.

President Donald Trump has renewed his push for Congress to pass something called the CLARITY Act, a major piece of legislation designed to establish clearer rules for the cryptocurrency industry in the United States.

And crypto investors absolutely loved the idea.

So what exactly is the CLARITY Act?

Basically, the U.S. crypto industry has spent years dealing with one giant question:

What exactly are cryptocurrencies legally?

Are they securities?

Are they commodities?

Who regulates them?

The SEC?

The CFTC?

And what rules are companies actually supposed to follow?

The CLARITY Act is designed to create a much clearer framework, including defining which digital assets fall under which regulatory system and which federal agency oversees them.

And for crypto companies, that could be huge.

Because uncertainty is expensive.

Imagine building a billion-dollar company…

while not knowing exactly which regulator is going to come after you.

Investors hate that.

Companies hate that.

And crypto markets definitely hate that.

So when Trump stood alongside major crypto executives at the White House and called on Congress to pass a “fair version” of the CLARITY Act, the market interpreted it as a potential turning point.

And Bitcoin reacted almost immediately.

But here’s something important:

The CLARITY Act hasn’t passed yet.

The bill is still stalled in the Senate, with a procedural vote expected in September after lawmakers return from recess.

So investors aren’t celebrating a law that’s already in place.

They’re betting on the possibility that the regulatory environment could become much more favorable.

And that matters because crypto is extremely sensitive to expectations.

If investors believe governments are becoming more accepting of digital assets…

They start buying.

If they think regulation is going to become hostile…

They sell.

It’s basically a giant confidence machine.

And Bitcoin wasn’t the only cryptocurrency to react.

Ethereum and several other major tokens also jumped during the rally.

But there’s another reason the move was so violent.

Short sellers got crushed.

When traders bet that Bitcoin will fall, they’re effectively betting against the market.

When the price suddenly rises instead, those positions can be forced to close.

That means traders have to buy Bitcoin to exit their losing positions…

Which pushes the price even higher.

And then more short positions get liquidated.

And suddenly…

the market starts feeding itself.

That’s called a short squeeze.

So the 12% jump wasn’t caused by the CLARITY Act alone.

Investors were also reacting to changing Treasury yields, broader economic expectations and a massive wave of short-position liquidations.

But the political signal was still important.

Because if the United States actually establishes clear rules for crypto…

It could make institutional investors much more comfortable entering the market.

Banks.

Investment funds.

Financial companies.

Crypto startups.

Everyone gets a clearer idea of the rules.

And that’s why this matters even if you don’t own a single Bitcoin.

Because the U.S. is still one of the biggest financial markets on Earth.

If Washington decides that crypto is going to be a legitimate part of the financial system…

the consequences won’t stay in America.

They can influence global investment, exchanges, startups and the price of major cryptocurrencies.

And yes, that includes people watching the market from Morocco.

But don’t make the classic mistake:

Bitcoin going up 12% doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed to keep going up.

Crypto can move violently in both directions.

The CLARITY Act can still face political obstacles.

And some of the recent rally came from technical market dynamics that can disappear just as quickly.

So the real story isn’t:

“Bitcoin is back.”

It’s:

Washington just gave crypto investors a reason to believe the rules of the game might finally become clearer.

And the market basically responded:

“We like that.”

Now everyone is watching the Senate.

Because the next big move in crypto…

might depend less on Bitcoin itself, and more on what happens inside Congress.

For decades, if you wanted to work in American tech, there was one obvious answer:

Silicon Valley.

San Francisco.

Palo Alto.

Big Tech.

Startups.

Venture capital.

That was the dream.

But something is changing.

New York is becoming just as important — and in some areas, it may already be pulling ahead.

Since mid-2025, New York and the San Francisco Bay Area have each added more than 20,000 jobs specifically linked to artificial intelligence.

But here’s the interesting part:

New York has a different advantage.

It’s not trying to beat Silicon Valley at its own game.

It’s building something different around finance, enterprise technology and AI.

Think about the companies based in New York.

Banks.

Investment firms.

Insurance companies.

Consulting giants.

Media companies.

Major corporations.

All of these businesses are now trying to integrate AI into their operations.

And that creates an enormous demand for people who understand both technology and business.

That’s where New York becomes extremely powerful.

Silicon Valley has traditionally been dominated by people building the technology.

New York has an enormous concentration of companies trying to use that technology to make money.

And AI is increasingly moving from the laboratory into the workplace.

Companies need engineers.

Data scientists.

AI researchers.

Product managers.

AI consultants.

Cybersecurity specialists.

People who can actually integrate AI into existing businesses.

And suddenly…

New York becomes a very attractive place to be.

But this doesn’t mean Silicon Valley is dead.

Far from it.

The Bay Area remains one of the world’s most important technology ecosystems, with enormous concentrations of AI companies, researchers, venture capital and startups.

The difference is that the American tech map is becoming less centralized.

And that’s actually great news for anyone trying to build a career.

Because the message isn’t:

« Silicon Valley is finished. »

It’s:

« You have more options now. »

New York.

San Francisco.

Seattle.

Austin.

Boston.

Miami.

And increasingly, other cities are building their own technology ecosystems.

For young Moroccans looking at international careers, that’s a pretty important shift.

Maybe you’ve always thought:

« If I want to work in AI, I have to go to Silicon Valley. »

Not anymore.

If your skills are in AI + finance, New York could be particularly interesting.

If you’re into enterprise software, consulting or business technology…

Again, New York makes sense.

If you’re building frontier AI models or working directly with the biggest AI research labs…

Silicon Valley and the Bay Area remain extremely powerful.

The point is that there isn’t one single road into tech anymore.

And that’s probably the biggest lesson here.

The future of technology isn’t going to belong to one city.

It’s going to belong to multiple ecosystems competing for the same talent.

And that competition is good for workers.

More companies.

More opportunities.

More specialized jobs.

More cities.

And potentially…

more ways for talented people to break into the industry.

So if you’re a young Moroccan dreaming about an international career in tech, don’t think:

« I need to get to Silicon Valley. »

Think:

« Where is my skillset most valuable? »

Because in the AI era…

The question isn’t just where the technology is being invented.

It’s also:

where companies are desperate to use it.

And right now…

New York is proving that Silicon Valley doesn’t have the American tech scene all to itself anymore.

Imagine watching a sports competition where the athletes don’t have muscles, lungs or even a heartbeat.

They have batteries.

That’s basically what’s happening in China at the World Humanoid Robot Games.

And things have just gotten a little crazy.

Two records that were previously held by humans have reportedly been beaten by humanoid robots.

Yes.

Robots are now breaking human sports records.

And before you start imagining a robot winning the 100-meter sprint…

We’re not quite there yet.

These competitions are specifically designed to test what humanoid robots can actually do: walking, running, jumping, coordination and different physical challenges.

But the fact that machines are already outperforming humans in certain categories is still pretty wild.

Because a few years ago, humanoid robots were basically internet curiosities.

They could walk awkwardly.

They could fall over.

They needed someone standing nearby just in case everything went wrong.

Now?

They’re competing against each other.

And some of them are actually getting really fast.

The whole event looks strangely familiar.

There are teams.

Uniforms.

Officials.

Tracks.

Competitions.

Crowds.

And robots doing their best impression of human athletes.

Except instead of hearing:

« Faster! Stronger! »

You’re watching a machine desperately trying not to fall on its face.

And honestly…

That’s half the entertainment.

Because humanoid robots still have one major weakness:

Balance.

A human can trip, recover and continue running almost instinctively.

For a robot, losing balance can mean the entire system crashes.

So every successful movement is actually a pretty impressive engineering achievement.

Running requires coordination between dozens of mechanical components.

Jumping requires controlling balance in the air.

Turning requires predicting where the body is going to move next.

And all of that has to happen incredibly quickly.

That’s why these competitions aren’t really just about winning medals.

They’re basically real-world laboratories for robotics.

Engineers can see how their machines perform under pressure.

They can identify weaknesses.

Improve the software.

Improve the hardware.

And then try again.

It’s basically an Olympic Games…

for robots being trained to become better robots.

And there’s a bigger reason why companies and governments are investing so heavily in this technology.

The ultimate goal isn’t necessarily to make robots win races.

It’s to make them useful.

Factories.

Warehouses.

Construction.

Healthcare.

Search and rescue.

Dangerous environments.

And potentially…

Our homes.

If a humanoid robot can run, walk, carry objects and maintain its balance reliably, suddenly it becomes much more interesting outside a competition.

But let’s be honest.

There’s also something slightly unsettling about watching a machine beat a human record.

Because it raises a question that sounds like science fiction:

How far can this go?

Today, robots are beating records in specialized competitions.

Tomorrow?

Could they outperform humans in more complex physical tasks?

Could they eventually compete in traditional sports?

And what happens when robots become stronger, faster and more precise than us?

We don’t have all the answers yet.

But these competitions are giving us something pretty valuable:

a preview.

Not of a future where robots replace humans tomorrow…

But of a future where machines can increasingly reproduce things we once considered uniquely human.

Running.

Jumping.

Balancing.

Competing.

And maybe one day…

winning.

So yes, watching humanoid robots compete is fascinating.

But it’s also a little creepy.

Because somewhere between the robot falling over on the track and another one crossing the finish line…

the future starts looking a lot less like science fiction.

If you’ve opened TikTok lately, you’ve probably noticed something:

The bob is everywhere.

Short.

Sharp.

Easy to recognize.

And apparently, impossible to escape.

The bob haircut has become one of the platform’s biggest beauty trends, with creators posting videos explaining why they’re finally considering making the cut.

And that’s exactly what makes this trend so powerful.

It’s not just people showing off a new hairstyle.

It’s people convincing you to get one.

One video starts with:

« Should I cut my hair? »

Then comes another.

And another.

Suddenly your entire FYP is full of people saying:

« Just do it. »

And the trend keeps growing because the bob has one major advantage:

There are so many ways to wear it.

Classic bob.

Long bob.

Messy bob.

Layered bob.

Super short bob.

Straight bob.

Wavy bob.

And then the Moroccan versions start appearing.

Which is where things get even more interesting.

Because TikTok trends don’t simply get copied.

They get localized.

A trend arrives globally…

Then creators adapt it to their own style, culture and sense of humor.

And that’s exactly what Moroccan creators can do with the bob trend.

You could have the Casablanca version.

The Marrakech version.

The university version.

The « I told my mom I was just trimming it » version.

And obviously…

the Moroccan mom reaction.

Because let’s be honest.

There are two people involved in a major haircut decision:

You…

And your mother.

And she may have a completely different opinion.

That’s also why the trend works so well on TikTok.

It’s incredibly easy to participate in.

You don’t need expensive equipment.

You don’t need choreography.

You don’t even need to be a professional creator.

You just need a before-and-after.

Long hair.

Transition.

Bob.

Done.

And when thousands of people start doing the same transformation with the same sound, the algorithm does the rest.

That’s how a simple haircut becomes a cultural moment.

And there’s something else interesting happening here.

The bob is having a comeback because it fits perfectly with the current internet obsession with visual transformations.

New hair.

New outfit.

New aesthetic.

New identity.

The message is basically:

« I’m changing something about myself. »

And TikTok loves that.

Because viewers don’t just watch the transformation.

They imagine themselves doing it.

That’s why you’ll see comments like:

« Okay, you’ve convinced me. »

And suddenly…

Someone who had absolutely no intention of cutting their hair is sitting in a salon the next morning.

So if you’re thinking about joining the trend…

Maybe don’t make the decision because TikTok told you to.

But if you do…

At least make the transition worth watching.

And for Moroccan creators, this is an easy one to own.

Forget copying the exact same video everyone else is making.

Take the trend…

Add your personality.

Add your culture.

Add your humor.

And make it yours.

Because the bob might have taken over TikTok globally…

But there’s still plenty of room for a Moroccan version of the trend to take over the FYP.

Dennis Schröder just achieved something extremely rare in the NBA.

And honestly…

I’m not sure he should be celebrating.

The German point guard has just been traded for the ninth time in his NBA career, after Cleveland sent him to Charlotte.

That officially makes him the second-most traded player in NBA history, behind Trevor Ariza, who was traded 11 times.

Nine trades.

Nine.

At this point, Schröder doesn’t need a moving truck.

He needs a permanent suitcase.

And the crazy part is how quickly some of these moves have happened.

Schröder was with Sacramento…

Then Cleveland…

And now Charlotte.

That’s three teams in a relatively short period.

And Charlotte will become his 12th NBA team once he suits up for the Hornets. Only Ish Smith has played for more franchises, with 13.

So technically…

Schröder is now only one team away from another very strange NBA record.

But here’s where the story gets interesting.

Being traded nine times doesn’t necessarily mean a player is bad.

Actually, it’s almost the opposite in Schröder’s case.

He’s been in the NBA since 2013, has played more than 900 regular-season games, has represented multiple playoff teams and has remained valuable enough that teams keep wanting him.

He has also had some seriously memorable moments along the way.

The Lakers.

The Celtics.

The Raptors.

The Nets.

The Warriors.

The Pistons.

The Kings.

The Cavaliers…

And now the Hornets.

That’s basically an NBA tour.

And there’s something almost hilarious about the fact that Trevor Ariza still has the record.

Ariza was traded 11 times during his career.

So Schröder is currently sitting at nine thinking:

« Just two more. »

Please don’t.

Because imagine reaching 11 trades and officially becoming the NBA’s most transferable human being.

At that point, the trade deadline isn’t a date on the calendar anymore.

It’s a threat.

But jokes aside, Schröder’s latest move actually makes sense for both teams.

Cleveland gets more financial flexibility, while Charlotte adds an experienced veteran point guard to a young roster.

And for Schröder, it’s another opportunity to play an important role and bring years of playoff experience to a team that hasn’t made the playoffs since 2016.

So maybe this isn’t a sad record after all.

Maybe it’s a weird sign of longevity.

Because staying in the NBA for 13 years is already difficult.

Doing it while constantly changing teams?

That’s another level of adaptability.

Still…

Nine trades.

Twelve teams.

Second all-time.

One team away from the franchise record.

Dennis Schröder might not have the most glamorous NBA record…

But he definitely has one of the funniest.

The man doesn’t get traded.

He gets redistributed.

This might be one of those weeks where your playlist is about to become completely unhinged.

Because Phoebe Bridgers, Weezer and Prince are all arriving with major releases around the same time.

Three artists.

Three generations.

Three completely different sounds.

And somehow…

They’re all competing for your headphones this week.

First, there’s Phoebe Bridgers with Lost Weekend.

If you’re looking for something emotional, introspective and slightly devastating…

This is your lane.

Bridgers has built her reputation around songs that can sound beautiful one second and emotionally destroy you the next.

It’s the kind of album you put on when you’re walking alone at night and suddenly start thinking about every decision you’ve ever made.

Then completely change the mood.

Because Weezer is also dropping Gold.

And if Phoebe Bridgers is the soundtrack to your existential crisis…

Weezer is here to make you feel like you’re back in your bedroom with a guitar you don’t actually know how to play.

Their sound sits somewhere between alternative rock, catchy melodies and pure nostalgia.

It’s energetic.

It’s nostalgic.

And it’s ridiculously easy to sing along to.

But then comes the release that hits completely differently:

Prince’s Timeless.

This one isn’t just another new album.

It’s a posthumous release, meaning the music is being released after Prince’s death.

And that’s what makes it so fascinating.

Prince left behind an enormous amount of unreleased material, recordings and unfinished ideas.

So every time previously unheard music from his archive appears…

Fans aren’t simply getting another album.

They’re getting another piece of an artist who fundamentally changed popular music.

And suddenly you’ve got three completely different experiences sitting next to each other.

Phoebe Bridgers for the emotional damage.

Weezer for the nostalgic energy.

Prince for the legendary funk, pop and musical experimentation.

Three albums. Three moods. One very crowded playlist.

And honestly, that’s the perfect opportunity to do something simple.

Don’t choose just one.

Make the playlist.

Start with Phoebe when you’re in your feelings.

Switch to Weezer when you need energy.

Then put Prince on when you want to remember what a musical genius actually sounds like.

And that’s what makes weeks like this so fun.

You don’t need to be a fan of all three artists.

Maybe you’ve never listened to Phoebe Bridgers.

Maybe Weezer has never been your thing.

Maybe you’ve only heard Prince through the biggest hits.

Perfect.

This is your excuse to discover something completely outside your usual algorithm.

Because streaming has made music discovery incredibly easy…

But sometimes your best new favorite artist is hiding in a genre you would never normally click.

So this week’s challenge is simple:

Three releases.

Three artists.

Three completely different vibes.

Pick one.

Listen to it all the way through.

Then move to the next.

By the end of the week, you might have a brand-new favorite.

Or…

You might realize that your playlist has officially become impossible to categorize.

And honestly, that’s exactly how it should be.

Ariana Grande has found a way to make the internet dance again.

Her eighth album, Petal, came out at the end of July, but weeks later, people are still creating content around it.

And this time, the viral moment isn’t just a song.

It’s a chair.

The “Chair Choreo” has become one of the latest trends taking over social media, with people recreating a seated choreography inspired by Ariana’s performances.

And honestly…

It looks way easier than it actually is.

You’re sitting down.

You barely move your legs.

You’re thinking:

“I can definitely do this.”

Then you try it…

And suddenly your coordination has completely disappeared.

That’s exactly what makes these trends work.

They’re simple enough to recreate, recognizable enough to be instantly associated with the artist, and short enough to fit perfectly into TikTok and Instagram content.

And that’s the bigger story behind Ariana’s new album.

Because today, an album doesn’t necessarily live or die when it drops.

It can have a second life weeks later…

because of one viral moment.

A song can be released in July.

Nobody talks about it for a few days.

Then someone creates a choreography.

It catches on.

Thousands of people recreate it.

Creators start using the audio.

And suddenly…

the song is everywhere again.

That’s the TikTok effect.

And it’s completely changed the way artists think about music promotion.

Before social media, an album’s success depended heavily on radio, music videos, press and streaming.

Now?

Sometimes all it takes is one fifteen-second clip.

And the “Chair Choreo” is a perfect example.

It turns listening into participation.

You’re not just hearing Ariana’s music.

You’re recreating it.

You’re filming yourself.

You’re sending it to your friends.

You’re challenging someone else to try it.

And suddenly the audience becomes part of the marketing.

For Moroccan fans, this is exactly the kind of trend that’s easy to pick up.

You don’t need a dance studio.

You don’t need professional equipment.

You basically need…

a chair.

And maybe enough confidence to upload the result.

The interesting part is what happens next.

Because if the trend keeps growing, you’ll start seeing different versions everywhere.

Solo versions.

Couple versions.

Funny versions.

Impossible versions.

People completely failing the choreography.

And eventually…

the inevitable Moroccan version.

You already know it’s coming.

Someone is going to do the Chair Choreo at a wedding.

Someone else is going to do it with their friends.

And someone will absolutely try it in a café and get kicked out.

That’s how internet trends work.

But behind the joke is a serious change in the music industry.

An album isn’t just an album anymore.

It’s a collection of sounds, visuals, challenges and moments that can keep generating content long after release day.

And Ariana Grande’s “Chair Choreo” shows exactly how powerful that can be.

So if you haven’t seen the trend yet…

Grab a chair.

Open TikTok.

Watch the choreography.

And before you say:

“That’s easy.”

Try it.

We’ll wait.

The post Apple Has a New Problem: AI-Generated Music Is Taking Over appeared first on La Nouvelle Tribune.

]]>
You might have already listened to an AI-generated song today without even realizing it.

And that’s becoming a serious problem for Apple.

The explosion of generative AI is no longer limited to images, videos or chatbots.

It’s now making music.

Entire songs can be generated with AI in minutes.

Lyrics.

Vocals.

Instrumentals.

Production.

Sometimes, you don’t even need to know how to play an instrument.

You just describe the song you want…

And the AI creates it.

The result?

Streaming platforms are suddenly being flooded with tracks that may have little or no human involvement behind them.

And Apple Music is having to figure out what to do with them.

Because from Apple’s perspective, there’s a fundamental problem:

How do you tell the difference between a human artist and an AI-generated track?

Imagine you’re browsing a playlist.

You discover an amazing new artist.

You listen to the song.

You add it to your favorites.

Maybe you even share it with your friends.

But then you discover that the « artist » isn’t actually a person.

The vocals were generated.

The instrumental was generated.

The artwork was generated.

And potentially…

the entire project was generated by AI.

That’s where things get complicated.

Because AI-generated music isn’t automatically illegal or bad.

There are legitimate artists using AI as a creative tool.

Someone might write the lyrics themselves and use AI to experiment with production.

Another musician might use AI to create a rough demo.

Another might combine traditional instruments with generated elements.

So the real question isn’t simply:

« Should AI music exist? »

It’s:

« How should platforms identify and manage it? »

And that’s much harder.

Because streaming platforms already have an enormous amount of music.

Now imagine millions of additional tracks being created by people who can generate music at almost no cost.

One person could potentially create hundreds of songs.

Thousands.

Maybe even more.

And suddenly, the amount of content becomes impossible to compare with traditional human production.

That creates a second problem:

Visibility.

If AI can produce music infinitely…

How does a real musician get discovered?

Imagine spending months writing an album.

Recording vocals.

Finding producers.

Mixing everything.

Paying for studio time.

Then someone else generates 500 songs in a week and uploads them all.

Even if most of those songs are terrible…

A few might get attention.

And the algorithms don’t necessarily care whether the person behind the song spent six months creating it.

They care about what listeners click and play.

That’s why this is becoming such a major issue for the entire music industry.

And there’s another problem:

Transparency.

Should platforms tell you when you’re listening to an AI-generated song?

Some people will absolutely want to know.

Others won’t care as long as the song sounds good.

But imagine discovering that the « artist » you’ve been listening to…

doesn’t actually exist.

That’s going to become increasingly common.

And for Morocco, this matters too.

Moroccan artists are already using streaming platforms to reach audiences far beyond the country.

Rap.

Chaabi.

Pop.

Electronic music.

Fusion.

Independent artists can now distribute music globally without needing a traditional record label.

AI could give those artists new tools…

But it could also create massive competition for attention.

And that’s probably the biggest shift we’re heading toward.

The future music industry might not have a shortage of songs.

It might have too many.

Millions of tracks.

Billions of generated sounds.

And an audience with only a limited amount of time to listen.

So the value of an artist could increasingly become something AI can’t easily manufacture:

identity.

A real story.

A real personality.

A real voice.

A connection with an audience.

Because when anyone can generate a technically perfect song in thirty seconds…

being human might become the most valuable part of the music.

And Apple is only one piece of this much bigger transformation.

Spotify.

YouTube.

TikTok.

Every major music platform is going to face the same question:

What happens when anyone can become a music producer with a prompt?

We aren’t just entering an era where AI can make music.

We’re entering an era where music can be produced at practically infinite scale.

And the next time you discover a song you’ve never heard before…

Take a second look at the artist.

Because there’s a very real chance that behind the voice…

there might not be a human being at all.

The post Anthropic Could Be Preparing for a Historic IPO — And Claude Is About to Become a Much Bigger Business Story appeared first on La Nouvelle Tribune.

]]>
Anthropic might be preparing to do something enormous.

The company behind Claude is reportedly preparing for a potential initial public offering, or IPO.

And if it actually happens…

it could become one of the biggest stock-market debuts ever for an AI company.

But what does that actually mean?

Let’s start with the basics.

An IPO is when a privately owned company decides to sell shares of itself to the public for the first time.

Before an IPO, Anthropic is essentially owned by its founders and private investors.

After an IPO?

Anyone who can buy shares on the stock market could potentially own a tiny piece of the company.

And that’s a huge transition.

Because Anthropic wouldn’t just be an AI startup anymore.

It would become a publicly traded company, with investors watching practically everything it does.

And here’s why this particular IPO could be so important.

Anthropic isn’t some random AI startup.

It’s the company behind Claude, one of the most powerful AI assistants currently competing with ChatGPT, Gemini and other major models.

And the AI race has already become one of the most expensive technology battles in history.

Training advanced AI models requires enormous amounts of computing power.

That means data centers.

Thousands of specialized chips.

Massive electricity consumption.

Huge engineering teams.

And billions of dollars in investment.

So when a company like Anthropic starts talking about going public…

Investors aren’t simply asking:

« Is Claude a good chatbot? »

They’re asking something much bigger:

« Can this company become one of the defining technology companies of the next decade? »

That’s a completely different question.

And Anthropic has been growing extremely quickly.

The company has attracted major investors and strategic partnerships, while Claude is increasingly being adopted by businesses for coding, research, customer support and other professional tasks.

That business side is particularly important.

Because consumer AI gets all the attention.

You ask Claude a question.

You generate something.

You code.

You experiment.

But companies can spend massive amounts of money using AI across thousands of employees.

And that’s where the real economic opportunity is.

Imagine a company paying for Claude for 10 employees.

Now imagine 10,000 employees.

Suddenly…

the numbers become very different.

That’s one reason investors are willing to place extraordinary valuations on AI companies.

But an IPO also creates pressure.

A private startup can focus on growth.

A public company has shareholders.

Every quarter, investors want to know:

How much money are you making?

How quickly are you growing?

How much are you spending?

And most importantly…

When are you going to become profitable?

That’s especially complicated for AI companies.

Because they’re spending enormous amounts of money just to operate their models.

You can have millions of users…

And still spend huge amounts on computing infrastructure.

So Anthropic would have to convince public investors that its growth can eventually become a sustainable business.

And that’s what makes a potential IPO so fascinating.

It could give the public markets one of their clearest looks yet at the real economics of frontier AI.

How expensive is it to run?

How much are companies actually willing to pay?

How profitable can an AI model become?

And how much is an AI company really worth?

Those are questions the entire industry is still trying to answer.

And for Morocco, there’s a simple reason to care.

AI might feel like an app on your phone…

But behind that simple interface is an enormous global industry involving chips, cloud computing, electricity, data centers and billions of dollars in investment.

If Anthropic goes public at a historic valuation…

you’ll literally be able to watch the market decide how much Claude’s future is worth.

But there’s one important detail:

The IPO hasn’t happened.

The reports concern preparations and a potential offering.

Nothing is guaranteed until Anthropic officially announces the terms and files the necessary documents.

So don’t treat a rumored valuation or launch date as confirmed.

But if Anthropic does eventually enter the stock market…

It could mark a major moment for AI.

Because the next phase of the AI race might not just be about who builds the smartest model.

It could be about:

Imagine leaving a nightclub in Las Vegas at 2 AM…

You open an app, order a car, get inside…

And there’s no driver.

No human behind the wheel.

Just you, the car and an AI trying to get you home safely.

That future is getting much closer.

Regulators in Nevada have approved a major expansion of autonomous vehicle operations in Las Vegas, allowing companies to deploy thousands of robotaxis across the city.

And this isn’t just another small autonomous driving experiment.

We’re talking about an entire city becoming a testing ground for driverless transportation.

Las Vegas is actually a perfect place for this.

It’s dense.

It’s full of tourists.

It has huge hotels, casinos, convention centers and nightlife.

People are constantly moving around the city…

And many of them don’t have their own car.

So instead of waiting for a taxi or an Uber with a human driver…

The idea is that your ride simply arrives by itself.

You get in.

You choose your destination.

And the vehicle handles the rest.

Sounds like science fiction?

The technology already exists.

Companies such as Waymo have been operating autonomous ride-hailing services in American cities, while other companies are racing to expand their own fleets.

But scaling from hundreds of vehicles to thousands is a completely different challenge.

Because one robotaxi working perfectly is impressive.

Thousands operating simultaneously?

That’s an entirely different level.

You suddenly have to deal with traffic.

Pedestrians.

Emergency vehicles.

Construction.

Bad weather.

Road closures.

Tourists crossing the street while staring at their phones.

Basically…

Las Vegas.

And that’s why this expansion matters.

It’s not just about whether a robot can drive.

It’s about whether an entire transportation network can operate with autonomous vehicles at scale.

And if it works…

The consequences could be huge.

Imagine a city where you don’t need to own a car.

You open an app.

A vehicle arrives.

You go where you need to go.

Then it leaves and picks up someone else.

No parking space.

No driver.

No need to keep a car sitting outside your house for 23 hours a day.

And potentially…

lower transportation costs.

But there’s another side to this.

What happens to the millions of people whose jobs involve driving?

Taxi drivers.

Ride-hailing drivers.

Delivery workers.

Truck drivers.

Autonomous vehicles could create new industries…

But they could also disrupt existing ones.

And that’s one of the biggest questions surrounding the robotaxi revolution.

Then there’s the trust problem.

Would you feel comfortable getting into a car where absolutely nobody is driving?

For some people, the answer is already yes.

For others…

Absolutely not.

And one mistake can change public perception instantly.

That’s why every autonomous driving deployment is being watched so closely.

Because if thousands of robotaxis can safely operate in one of the busiest tourist cities in America…

The argument that autonomous driving is only a futuristic laboratory experiment becomes much harder to make.

And that’s why Morocco should pay attention.

Casablanca.

Rabat.

Marrakech.

Imagine thousands of autonomous taxis moving through these cities.

No driver.

No haggling.

No searching for a taxi during rush hour.

Just open the app…

and the car comes to you.

We’re obviously not there yet.

Morocco would need the infrastructure, regulation, mapping systems and safety standards required for autonomous vehicles.

But the technology is moving.

And Las Vegas is becoming one of the places where we can see what that future might actually look like.

So the real question isn’t:

« Will robotaxis exist? »

They already do.

The question is:

« What happens when there are thousands of them? »

Because once a city reaches that point…

We’re no longer testing the future.

We’re living in it.

Remember Tesla’s Solar Roof?

Those futuristic roof tiles that were supposed to turn your house into a giant solar panel?

Elon Musk once presented them as one of Tesla’s biggest bets outside electric cars.

And today…

They’re basically disappearing.

Tesla has quietly pulled the Solar Roof from several markets, with the product increasingly difficult to order and little public communication from the company about its future.

No huge announcement.

No dramatic presentation.

No Elon Musk post saying:

« It’s over. »

Just…

Silence.

And that’s what makes the story interesting.

Because the Solar Roof was supposed to be revolutionary.

Instead of putting traditional solar panels on top of your house, the idea was to make the roof itself generate electricity.

From the street, your house could look completely normal.

But underneath those tiles?

Solar cells.

It was an incredibly attractive concept.

Especially coming from Tesla.

The company had already transformed the perception of electric cars.

So the pitch was basically:

What if your house could become a Tesla too?

But turning that idea into a mass-market product proved much harder.

The first major problem was cost.

Solar Roof installations were significantly more expensive and complicated than simply installing conventional solar panels.

And that’s a serious issue.

Because when someone wants solar energy, they usually care about one thing:

How quickly will I get my money back?

If normal solar panels can produce the same electricity for less…

Why pay extra for a futuristic roof?

Then there was the installation problem.

Traditional solar panels can be installed on an existing roof.

Tesla’s Solar Roof is much more integrated into the roof itself.

That means installation can become significantly more complicated.

And when you’re dealing with construction…

complicated means expensive.

Tesla also faced difficulties scaling the product.

The company originally presented Solar Roof as something that could become a huge part of its energy business.

But production, installation and demand never reached the level many expected.

And that’s where the dream started fading.

Tesla continued focusing heavily on other energy products, particularly its Powerwall batteries and Megapack energy-storage systems.

Meanwhile…

The Solar Roof became increasingly difficult to find.

And that’s why this story is actually bigger than one failed product.

Because Tesla has built part of its reputation around one idea:

the future is already here.

Electric cars.

Autonomous driving.

Robots.

AI.

Energy storage.

Everything is presented as the next massive transformation.

But Solar Roof is a reminder that even Tesla can’t make every futuristic idea work.

And honestly?

That’s normal.

Every major technology company has projects that don’t succeed.

The difference is that Tesla usually talks about its ambitions very loudly.

So when one of those ambitions quietly disappears…

the silence becomes the story.

And there’s an important lesson here for anyone interested in tech or business.

A brilliant presentation doesn’t automatically mean a brilliant business.

The technology might work.

The product might look incredible.

The idea might sound revolutionary.

But if it’s too expensive…

Too complicated…

Or simply not better enough than the existing alternatives…

the market doesn’t care.

And Solar Roof is a perfect example.

Tesla didn’t necessarily fail because solar roofs were a bad idea.

It struggled because making that idea economically competitive at scale was much harder than making the concept look amazing on stage.

And for Morocco, that’s actually an interesting lesson.

The country is investing heavily in solar energy.

But when you think about installing solar at home, the most futuristic-looking solution isn’t necessarily the smartest one.

Sometimes…

boring technology wins.

Traditional solar panels aren’t nearly as sexy as futuristic solar tiles.

But if they cost less, are easier to install and produce the same electricity…

that’s what people buy.

So Tesla’s Solar Roof story isn’t really:

« Tesla failed. »

It’s:

« Tesla discovered that turning the future into a profitable product is much harder than imagining it. »

And somewhere along the way…

The Solar Roof went from being one of Elon Musk’s biggest promises…

to a product most people barely talk about anymore.

Night City is calling again.

After years of waiting, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has finally confirmed its worldwide release date on Netflix:

October 20, 2026.

And yes…

We’re going back to Night City.

The sequel to the anime that completely shocked the world in 2022 is finally getting ready to drop.

But before we talk about Season 2, we need to remember why the first season became such a phenomenon.

Because Edgerunners wasn’t simply another anime based on a video game.

It took the world of Cyberpunk 2077

And turned it into an emotional rollercoaster.

The story followed David Martinez, a teenager from Night City who suddenly finds himself pulled deeper and deeper into the city’s criminal underworld.

And Night City itself became one of the main characters.

Bright neon.

Massive corporations.

Cybernetic implants.

Gangs.

Violence.

And people desperately trying to survive in a city where almost everything has a price.

The anime managed to capture something incredibly important about the Cyberpunk universe:

The technology is incredible.

But the people using it are falling apart.

And that’s why the series hit so hard.

It wasn’t just about explosions and cybernetic upgrades.

It was about ambition.

Relationships.

Loss.

And the question of how much of yourself you’re willing to sacrifice to become stronger.

And if you watched Season 1…

You already know how emotionally brutal that can become.

No spoilers here.

But let’s just say:

You don’t finish Edgerunners and simply move on with your day.

The anime became so successful that it dramatically boosted interest in Cyberpunk 2077, introducing millions of new players to Night City.

And now…

Studio TRIGGER is coming back.

But there’s an important detail.

Edgerunners 2 isn’t simply repeating David’s story.

The new project is being presented as a standalone story set in the same universe, meaning we’re getting new characters, new conflicts and another opportunity to explore the darker side of Night City.

And honestly?

That’s probably the right move.

Because trying to recreate the exact emotional journey of the first season would be almost impossible.

Instead…

Give us another story.

Another group of people.

Another reason to care.

And then let Night City do what Night City does best.

Destroy everyone’s dreams.

The new teaser has already given fans their first glimpse at the sequel, and now there’s a very specific date to circle:

October 20.

Which means we’ve got less than two months before Netflix becomes a dangerous place for anyone trying to avoid spoilers.

TikTok.

YouTube.

Reddit.

X.

Everywhere.

Someone is going to finish the entire season in one night and immediately post the ending.

So if you want to experience it properly…

Stay away from the comments.

And if you’ve never watched the first Edgerunners?

This is your warning.

You’ve got time.

Ten episodes.

One night.

And an emotional recovery period that Netflix absolutely does not provide.

October 20.

New characters.

New story.

Same Night City.

And if Season 2 manages to capture even half of what made the original so special…

Netflix might want to prepare for another Cyberpunk takeover.

Five stories are making headlines today, and we’re starting with something that could directly affect millions of teenagers using AI.

OpenAI is under growing legal pressure over ChatGPT and minors.

The company is preparing a version of ChatGPT specifically designed for teenagers aged 13 to 17, with stronger safety measures and additional parental controls.

The move comes as OpenAI faces increasing scrutiny over the impact AI chatbots can have on young users, including legal action in the United States following the death of a teenager whose family alleges that his interactions with ChatGPT played a role.

OpenAI says its new approach will add stronger protections around sensitive topics and give parents more control over how their teenagers use the platform.

But there’s another challenge: how do you actually know who’s a teenager?

The company is exploring age-estimation technology that could identify whether an account likely belongs to a minor without necessarily requiring everyone to upload an ID.

And that creates a whole new debate.

How do you protect teenagers without creating another massive privacy problem?

Because AI is becoming more accessible every day…

and now the industry is being forced to figure out how to make it safer for younger users.

And while the AI industry is dealing with questions about safety, Europe is dealing with something much more physical:

fire.

Belgium is currently fighting one of the country’s largest wildfires in more than a century.

The blaze in the Hautes Fagnes has already affected thousands of hectares, and although firefighters have managed to contain it, authorities warn that completely extinguishing the fire could still take weeks.

And this is Belgium.

A country that isn’t exactly the first place you associate with massive wildfires.

But that’s precisely what makes the story so significant.

Across Europe, this summer has already seen enormous areas burned, with extreme heat and dry conditions creating increasingly difficult firefighting situations.

The problem isn’t simply the flames.

It’s everything around them.

Evacuations.

Destroyed ecosystems.

Damage to infrastructure.

Agricultural losses.

And enormous resources needed to keep fires under control.

For Mediterranean countries like Morocco, it’s also a reminder that wildfire risk isn’t just a southern European problem.

Extreme heat doesn’t care about borders.

And from climate risk, we move to another crisis that has no borders:

the Strait of Hormuz.

The strategic waterway remains effectively locked down as tensions between the United States and Iran continue.

Donald Trump has closed the door on immediate negotiations, while Iran is demanding major concessions before reopening the strait.

And that matters far beyond the Middle East.

Hormuz is one of the world’s most important energy routes.

A huge amount of global oil and gas passes through the region.

So if the situation remains blocked for an extended period, energy markets can feel the pressure.

And eventually…

that pressure can reach the fuel station.

Which brings us to Washington’s latest confrontation with the international justice system.

The United States has imposed sanctions on Tomoko Akane, president of the International Criminal Court, along with another ICC official.

Washington argues that the Court has overstepped its authority by investigating individuals the United States considers outside the ICC’s jurisdiction.

The ICC, meanwhile, has condemned the sanctions and warned that they threaten the independence of international justice.

And this isn’t just a diplomatic argument between two institutions.

The International Criminal Court is responsible for investigating some of the world’s most serious alleged crimes, including war crimes and crimes against humanity.

So the bigger question is:

Can an international court hold powerful political figures accountable when major countries reject its jurisdiction?

That debate is becoming increasingly important…

And increasingly complicated.

And finally, let’s bring things back home.

Morocco is preparing to bring renewable energy into the next generation of service stations.

A new regulatory framework for fuel stations is set to take effect at the end of October, and one of the interesting changes is that renewable-energy solutions can now be incorporated directly into the design of new facilities.

That could mean more solar energy, more efficient infrastructure and, eventually, service stations that aren’t just places where you put fuel in your car.

Think about where this could go.

Fuel.

Electric charging.

Solar power.

Energy storage.

A station that produces part of the energy it uses.

For Morocco, which has been investing heavily in renewable energy, this fits into a much bigger strategy.

And it could eventually change what a Moroccan gas station actually looks like.

So, from AI safety…

to wildfires…

to a geopolitical crisis affecting global energy…

to a battle over international justice…

and finally, Morocco preparing its fuel infrastructure for a more renewable future.

That’s What’s Hot Today.

Different stories.

Different countries.

But the same reality:

technology, climate, geopolitics and everyday life are becoming more connected than ever.

See you tomorrow.

Serious Sam is coming back.

On August 31, Serious Sam: Shatterverse is set to bring the legendary FPS franchise back to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

But if you’re expecting another classic Serious Sam…

Think again.

Because this time, the formula is changing.

The original Serious Sam was basically the definition of old-school FPS chaos.

Huge arenas.

Ridiculous numbers of enemies.

Heavy weapons.

Explosions everywhere.

And one objective:

Keep shooting until absolutely nothing is moving.

No complicated skill trees.

No battle pass.

No 17 different currencies.

Just you…

A giant weapon…

And approximately 400 enemies who apparently all decided to attack at the same time.

And that’s exactly why the franchise became so iconic.

While modern shooters moved toward competitive multiplayer, realistic gunplay and increasingly complicated progression systems, Serious Sam stayed committed to one thing:

pure, stupid, glorious FPS fun.

But Shatterverse wants to push that idea somewhere new.

Instead of simply recreating the formula fans already know, the game introduces a new structure built around different versions of the Serious Sam universe.

So you’re not just getting another straight-up arena shooter.

You’re getting a new interpretation of the franchise.

And that’s risky.

Because when a series has a fanbase that grew up with the original games, changing the formula can go one of two ways.

Fans can say:

« Finally, something fresh. »

Or…

« Why did you mess with Serious Sam? »

And that’s going to be the big question.

Can Shatterverse modernize the franchise without losing what made it special?

Because the competition is completely different now.

If you’re looking for an FPS today, you’ve got Call of Duty, Valorant, Battlefield, DOOM and an endless number of multiplayer shooters.

So Serious Sam can’t simply survive on nostalgia.

It needs to give players a reason to come back.

And that’s where the new format could actually help.

Instead of trying to compete directly with modern military shooters…

Serious Sam can be Serious Sam.

Fast.

Chaotic.

Ridiculous.

And completely over the top.

And honestly?

Sometimes that’s exactly what you want.

You don’t want a tactical operation.

You don’t want to spend ten minutes checking corners.

You don’t want to hear your teammate screaming because someone missed a smoke grenade.

You just want to grab a ridiculous weapon…

Walk into an arena…

And watch the screen explode.

That’s the Serious Sam fantasy.

So August 31 is going to be interesting.

Because Shatterverse has to prove that an old-school FPS can still reinvent itself without losing its identity.

If it succeeds…

We could be looking at a surprisingly fresh chapter for one of gaming’s most chaotic shooters.

And if you’re tired of playing the same competitive FPS every night…

Maybe this is exactly the kind of madness you’ve been looking for.

Serious Sam is back.

New format.

Same attitude.

And hopefully…

way too many enemies on screen.

Pokémon just proved something once again: you don’t need another traditional Pokémon RPG to sell millions.

Pokémon Pokopia has now passed 5 million copies sold, making it one of the biggest games on the Nintendo Switch 2 and the second-best-selling title on the console, behind Mario Kart World.

And the crazy part?

This isn’t even a mainline Pokémon game.

It’s a cozy life-simulation game.

You play as Ditto, transformed into a human, and instead of spending your time catching Pokémon and becoming Champion…

You’re basically rebuilding an entire Pokémon world.

You gather resources.

Build houses.

Create habitats.

Grow crops.

Craft furniture.

Explore.

And, obviously…

Hang out with Pokémon.

The whole concept sounds almost ridiculously simple.

But that’s exactly why it works.

Because Pokémon has always had one huge advantage:

People don’t just want to battle Pokémon.

They want to live alongside them.

Imagine seeing Pikachu in your garden.

Building a house for Eevee.

Creating an entire habitat for your favorite Pokémon.

Or simply walking around your own little Pokémon town while the weather and time of day change around you.

That’s the fantasy Pokopia is selling.

And apparently…

Millions of people wanted exactly that.

Nintendo had already revealed that the game passed 4 million sales within its first five weeks, and it has now crossed the 5-million mark.

That performance is particularly impressive because Pokopia was designed as something completely different from the usual Pokémon formula.

There’s no traditional Gym challenge driving the experience.

No race to become Champion.

No need to build the strongest competitive team.

Instead…

You build the world itself.

And that’s probably the biggest reason this spin-off is working.

It’s taking Pokémon and mixing it with the cozy-game phenomenon popularized by games like Animal Crossing and Minecraft.

But there’s one massive difference:

You already know the characters.

Pokémon fans have spent decades building emotional connections with these creatures.

So when a game says:

« What if you could actually build a home for them? »

That’s an extremely easy pitch to understand.

And Nintendo is clearly seeing the potential.

The game has already received its first major expansion, while additional content is planned through the expansion pass.

So Pokopia isn’t looking like a one-week Pokémon experiment anymore.

It’s starting to look like a new long-term Pokémon sub-franchise.

And that’s where this gets really interesting.

Because if this works…

Why stop here?

A Pokémon farming game?

A Pokémon social game?

A Pokémon RPG with a completely different structure?

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company now have even more evidence that fans are willing to explore the franchise outside the traditional formula.

And for Moroccan gamers, this is especially interesting because Pokémon doesn’t really belong to one generation anymore.

You grew up with Pokémon?

You probably know Pikachu.

You’re discovering the franchise through games, anime, cards or memes?

You still know Pikachu.

That’s the power of the brand.

And Pokopia is taking that familiarity and turning it into something much more relaxing.

No pressure.

No complicated competitive meta.

Just…

Build your Pokémon paradise.

And apparently, millions of players said:

« Yeah. I’m in. »

So the real question now isn’t whether Pokémon Pokopia is a successful spin-off.

It absolutely is.

The question is:

How many more completely different Pokémon games can Nintendo create before we realize Pokémon can basically work in any genre?

Five million players have already given them one very clear answer:

Keep experimenting.

Pogues, this is it.

After six years, treasure hunts, betrayals, insane escapes and enough bad decisions to fill an entire island…

Outer Banks is ending tonight.

Season 5, the final season, drops on Netflix today, August 20, with all 10 episodes arriving at once.

And there’s something especially interesting for Moroccan fans:

Morocco is part of the story.

After the events of Season 4, the Pogues are left stranded far from home and dealing with the loss of JJ. They’re also still chasing the Blue Crown while trying to take back control of their lives.

But here’s the part that makes this really cool for us:

Some of the Morocco you see in Outer Banks is actually Morocco.

Not a green screen.

Not some random location pretending to be Morocco.

The production really came here.

The Moroccan sequences in Season 4 were filmed around Cap Hadid, Essaouira and the Ouarzazate region. Netflix’s production guide confirms those locations.

And Cap Hadid?

That’s where the Pogues’ arrival on the Moroccan coast was filmed.

Think huge dunes, Atlantic coastline and that dramatic desert-meets-ocean landscape.

That’s real Morocco.

Then there’s Essaouira.

The city’s old streets, medina and waterfront became part of the Pogues’ Moroccan adventure.

And honestly…

If you’ve ever walked through Essaouira, spotting those locations in Outer Banks hits completely differently.

You’re watching a massive Netflix production…

And suddenly you’re like:

« WAIT… I KNOW THAT PLACE. »

Then you’ve got Ouarzazate.

The Moroccan city that’s basically been Hollywood’s secret weapon for decades.

And in Outer Banks, the surrounding region was used for the fictional city of Agapenta.

So you’ve got a Netflix treasure hunt…

Filmed across actual Moroccan landscapes…

With Essaouira’s architecture…

Cap Hadid’s coastline…

And Ouarzazate’s cinematic desert scenery.

That’s a pretty insane Moroccan cameo.

But there’s one important distinction.

The fact that Morocco plays a major role in the story of Season 5 does not mean Season 5 itself was filmed in Morocco.

Available production information indicates that the fifth season was filmed primarily in South Carolina, with additional filming in Croatia. Morocco’s confirmed filming belongs to Season 4.

So don’t let TikTok clips confuse you:

Morocco is central to the plot… but the Moroccan locations we recognize were filmed for Season 4.

And that’s actually what makes tonight’s release interesting.

Because millions of people around the world are going to watch Outer Banks

And Morocco is literally part of the final chapter’s history.

For Moroccan viewers, there’s an extra game you can play:

Spot the locations.

Is that Essaouira?

Is that Cap Hadid?

Did they use Ouarzazate here?

And suddenly you’re not just watching the Pogues.

You’re playing « Where is Morocco hiding in this shot? »

But beyond the locations…

This is the end.

John B.

Sarah.

Kiara.

Pope.

Cleo.

Rafe.

The Pogues have spent years chasing treasure and running from danger.

Tonight…

they get their final adventure.

August 20.

10 episodes.

One final season.

And somewhere in that story…

Morocco is leaving its mark on one of Netflix’s biggest teen series.

So grab your snacks.

Avoid spoilers.

And keep your eyes open.

Because tonight, while the Pogues are trying to bring their story home…

you might recognize a little piece of ours on the screen.

If you’re a YouTube creator, August 24 is a date to remember.

Because from that day, the number of views displayed publicly on your videos is going to change.

And no, YouTube isn’t suddenly giving you free money.

It’s changing what counts as a view.

Until now, standard YouTube videos needed viewers to watch for a certain amount of time before a view was counted.

From August 24, 2026, YouTube will count a view as soon as the video starts playing — basically from the first frame. The change applies across regular videos, Shorts and livestreams.

So your view counter could start climbing faster.

But here’s the important part:

A bigger view number doesn’t necessarily mean more people actually watched your content.

That’s why YouTube is keeping the older, more meaningful measurement under the name « Engaged views. »

That metric is designed to show the people who actually stayed to watch rather than simply triggering a playback.

Think about it like this.

Someone clicks your video…

It starts playing…

They immediately leave.

Under the new system:

That’s a view.

But if someone stays and actually watches?

That’s where Engaged views become much more interesting.

And for creators, that’s going to change how you read your analytics.

Because suddenly you could have:

but only a much smaller number of genuinely engaged viewers.

So don’t look at the big number and immediately celebrate.

Look deeper.

Watch time.

Average view duration.

Engaged views.

Retention.

Those are going to tell you whether people actually care about your content.

And there’s another major change creators need to know about.

YouTube is also raising the thresholds for joining the YouTube Partner Program for new creators.

The requirements are reportedly moving from:

4,000 qualified watch hours → 8,000

or

10 million Shorts views in 90 days → 20 million.

The new thresholds are scheduled to take effect in 2027, so this isn’t something that suddenly happens to every creator on August 24.

And that’s a HUGE difference for someone starting from zero.

Imagine trying to reach 20 million Shorts views in just three months.

That’s not:

« Post a few videos and hope one goes viral. »

That’s a serious content operation.

Which means YouTube is basically sending creators a message:

Getting attention is easy. Keeping attention is what matters.

And honestly, that’s where Moroccan creators need to pay attention.

If you’re making content for Moroccan audiences — gaming, lifestyle, news, comedy, podcasts, education, whatever — don’t build your strategy around chasing the biggest possible view counter.

Build around retention.

Make people stay.

Make them want to watch the next video.

Make them subscribe.

Because a creator with 100,000 views and terrible retention can be less valuable than one with 30,000 views and an audience that watches everything.

So remember the three numbers:

August 24: public views start counting from the first frame.

Engaged views: the older engagement-focused metric remains available in Analytics.

2027: the higher Partner Program thresholds become the bigger challenge for new creators.

YouTube isn’t necessarily making views more valuable.

It’s making the view counter easier to trigger.

So from now on…

Don’t just ask: « How many views did I get? »

Ask:

« How many people actually stayed? »

Because that’s where the real audience is.

Imagine putting on your AirPods and asking Siri:

“What am I looking at?”

And Siri actually knows.

That could become reality.

Apple is reportedly testing AirPods equipped with small cameras, designed specifically to give Apple Intelligence visual information about the world around you. And a leaked video discovered inside a recent macOS release appears to show the concept in action.

But before you imagine yourself taking photos with your AirPods…

That’s not really the idea.

The cameras would reportedly capture low-resolution visual information, rather than functioning like a normal camera for taking photos or recording videos. The goal is to give Siri context about what you’re seeing.

So imagine you’re walking through Casablanca.

You see a building you’ve never seen before.

You ask:

“What is that?”

Your AirPods could potentially analyze what you’re looking at and give you information.

Or you’re holding a book.

Instead of pulling out your phone…

“Siri, save this book for later.”

The leaked demonstration reportedly shows exactly this kind of interaction, with Apple’s “Visual Intelligence” identifying a book and responding to a voice command.

And that’s where Apple’s strategy gets interesting.

The company isn’t simply trying to put AI inside another app.

It’s trying to make AI constantly available around you.

Your phone knows what you type.

Your camera knows what you photograph.

Your AirPods could potentially know what you’re looking at.

And suddenly your earbuds aren’t just headphones anymore.

They’re becoming a pair of AI sensors attached to your body.

But there’s one massive question:

Privacy.

Because if your AirPods can see the world around you…

People around you didn’t necessarily agree to be part of that.

That’s already been a major concern with camera-equipped smart glasses, and Apple’s approach will face exactly the same question.

The company is reportedly considering visual indicators showing when the sensors are active, but the exact privacy system hasn’t been officially detailed.

And there’s another important detail:

This is still based on reports and leaks.

Apple hasn’t officially announced camera-equipped AirPods.

Recent reporting suggests one version could potentially arrive as early as this year, while a more advanced project may come later.

So don’t go to an Apple Store tomorrow asking:

“Where are my camera AirPods?”

They’re not there yet.

But the direction is clear.

Apple is trying to move AI from something you open

To something that is simply around you.

And if this technology actually works the way Apple appears to be imagining it…

Your next AirPods might not just listen to you.

They might be looking at the world with you.

And honestly…

That’s either incredibly useful…

or slightly terrifying.

Saïdia isn’t just about beaches anymore.

From August 26 to 30, the Moroccan seaside resort will host the first edition of “Cinéma sans frontières”, a new festival bringing cinema and culture to one of the country’s biggest summer destinations.

And honestly…

Beach during the day. Cinema at night.

That’s a pretty good end-of-summer plan.

The idea behind the festival is simple: bring filmmakers, cinema lovers and audiences together around films that cross borders, cultures and languages.

And that’s what makes the event interesting.

Because Saïdia has traditionally been associated with one thing:

Tourism.

Hotels.

Beach clubs.

Restaurants.

Nightlife.

But events like this are slowly adding another identity to the city:

a cultural destination.

And the timing is perfect.

The festival runs from August 26 to August 30, right when a lot of people are looking for one last summer escape before September hits and everyone goes back to work, university or reality.

So imagine the itinerary.

Morning?

Beach.

Afternoon?

Explore Saïdia.

Evening?

Grab something to eat.

Then…

Go watch a film.

And that’s exactly the kind of event that can make a destination feel different.

You’re not just going somewhere to stay in a hotel.

You’re going because something is happening there.

That’s important for Saïdia because cultural events can help extend the city’s appeal beyond traditional summer tourism.

Instead of:

« Let’s go to Saïdia because it’s summer. »

You start getting:

« Let’s go to Saïdia because there’s a festival happening. »

And that can attract a completely different audience.

Young people.

Film students.

Creators.

Cinema enthusiasts.

Local artists.

And tourists looking for something beyond the usual beach experience.

The “Cinéma sans frontières” concept is particularly interesting because cinema itself is all about crossing borders.

A Moroccan audience can discover a story from another country.

A filmmaker can meet an audience they never expected.

A film made in one language can emotionally connect with someone who doesn’t speak it.

And suddenly…

the screen becomes the borderless part.

For STACHE, there’s also a pretty obvious reason to keep an eye on this.

It’s the kind of event where you can combine culture + travel + summer vibes in one weekend.

And if you’re already planning to head toward the Oriental region at the end of August…

Why not add a little cinema to the trip?

So, mark the dates:

August 26 → August 30

Saïdia

Cinéma sans frontières

And keep an eye on the official programme as the festival approaches, because the films, guests and different events will determine whether this becomes a simple new festival…

Or the beginning of a real annual cinema destination in Saïdia.

Five days. One seaside city. A whole lot of cinema.

Beach by day.

Movies by night.

Honestly, Saïdia might have just found a new way to keep summer going a little longer.

If Takopi’s Original Sin emotionally destroyed you the first time…

Yeah. It’s not over.

The anime is getting a theatrical movie titled Takopi’s Original Sin: Thank You, See You Tomorrow, with a Japanese theatrical release set for November 27, 2026. A new trailer has just been revealed, and the movie will re-edit all six episodes of the original anime while adding new scenes.

And honestly…

Why would they make us suffer again?

For anyone who somehow missed the anime, Takopi’s Original Sin looks ridiculously innocent at first.

You’ve got Takopi, a tiny pink alien from the Happy Planet whose entire mission is basically:

Make everyone happy.

Sounds adorable, right?

Wrong.

Because when Takopi arrives on Earth, he meets Shizuka, a young girl dealing with a deeply troubled life.

Takopi doesn’t understand human emotions.

He doesn’t understand trauma.

He doesn’t understand why people hurt each other.

So he tries to fix everything using the futuristic gadgets he brought from his planet.

And that’s when things start going…

VERY, VERY WRONG.

The genius of Takopi’s Original Sin is that it constantly plays with your expectations.

You see the cute pink alien.

You see the colorful world.

And then suddenly…

You’re emotionally destroyed.

The original anime was only six episodes long, but those six episodes were enough to turn Takopi into one of the most talked-about anime characters of 2025. The adaptation was based on Taizan 5’s completed manga, which itself is only two volumes.

And now the movie is going back through that story.

But with new scenes.

That’s the part fans should be watching closely.

Because this isn’t simply:

« Let’s put six episodes together and call it a movie. »

The theatrical version has been specifically re-edited for the big screen and will expand the original material with additional scenes.

Which means…

There could be new emotional moments.

New details.

New perspectives.

And potentially even more reasons to cry.

So if you watched the anime and thought:

« I’m never emotionally recovering from this. »

Congratulations.

You’re getting another chance.

The Japanese release is set for November 27.

And for Moroccan anime fans watching through streaming platforms, the big question now is when and how the movie will become available internationally.

But one thing is already certain:

Takopi is coming back.

The pink alien.

The cute smile.

The absolutely devastating story.

And a brand-new theatrical experience.

So get your tissues ready.

Because this time…

the big screen is about to make the pain even bigger.

November 27.

Thank You, See You Tomorrow.

And honestly…

I don’t think we’re ready.

Re:ZERO fans, today is the day.

Episode 13 of Season 4 — the 79th episode of the anime overall — arrives today, August 19, continuing the Recapture Arc. And the preview has already sent the community into full theory mode.

And if you’ve been following Re:ZERO

You already know that “things are getting intense” doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Season 4 has been pushing Subaru and the others deeper into the mysteries surrounding the Pleiades Watchtower, and the second cour is finally getting into the part fans have been waiting for.

The preview doesn’t give everything away.

And honestly?

Good.

Because with Re:ZERO, the less you know before an episode…

the better.

What makes this episode particularly exciting is that we’re now properly into the Recapture Arc, which follows the explosive events of the first part of Season 4. The situation around Subaru, his allies and the Watchtower is becoming increasingly unpredictable.

And that’s classic Re:ZERO.

You think Subaru finally has a plan?

Something goes wrong.

You think he’s figured out the situation?

There’s another mystery.

You think things can’t possibly get worse?

Subaru.exe has stopped responding.

That’s exactly why the preview has people talking.

We’re seeing characters, locations and situations that immediately raise questions without giving away where the story is going.

And that’s the perfect recipe for a Re:ZERO episode.

Because this isn’t an anime where you simply watch to see who wins the fight.

You’re watching to understand:

What is actually happening?

Why are these characters here?

What are they hiding?

What does Subaru know?

And most importantly…

What is Subaru going to have to sacrifice this time?

Episode 13 is scheduled for today, August 19, with the season continuing weekly. Season 4’s second cour is planned for eight episodes, taking the full season to 19 episodes if the schedule remains unchanged.

So if you’re caught up…

Do NOT open TikTok before watching.

Don’t check YouTube comments.

Don’t search character names.

And whatever you do…

Stay away from Reddit.

Because Re:ZERO spoilers have a special talent for appearing exactly where you don’t want them.

August 19. Episode 79.

Subaru’s story continues.

The Recapture Arc is heating up.

And judging by that preview…

we’re nowhere near ready for what’s coming next.

So grab your snacks, turn off the notifications, and prepare yourself.

Because with Re:ZERO

the real question isn’t whether something will go wrong.

It’s how badly it’s going to go wrong.

Five stories. Five minutes. And today, the headlines go from a devastating earthquake in Indonesia to Europe literally burning, before coming back to Morocco with youth unemployment, social assistance and… the price of diesel.

Let’s go.

First: Indonesia is entering the hardest phase after the Flores earthquake.

The emergency phase is slowly giving way to something much longer and much harder: reconstruction.

After the devastating earthquake that hit Flores, hundreds of homes and critical infrastructures have been damaged. Schools, healthcare facilities and public buildings are among those affected, while emergency supplies are still being transported to communities that are difficult to reach.

And there’s a detail that makes the situation even more complicated: aftershocks are still happening.

So for thousands of people, going home isn’t necessarily an option yet.

Because after a disaster, the first question is: who survived?

Then comes the much longer question:

How do you rebuild an entire life?

Homes have to be reconstructed. Schools have to reopen. Roads and public services have to come back.

And that’s why the aftermath of an earthquake can last months or even years after the cameras leave.

Meanwhile, Europe is facing a brutal wildfire season.

More than 250,000 hectares had already burned across the European Union — an area roughly comparable to the size of Luxembourg.

And the scary part?

The traditional peak of the fire season hadn’t even arrived yet.

Spain has been particularly affected, with hundreds of thousands of hectares burned, while France has also seen major fires and mass evacuations.

And this isn’t just a Mediterranean problem anymore.

Different parts of Europe are experiencing increasingly severe wildfire events.

The consequences go far beyond destroyed forests.

Homes are evacuated.

Agriculture is affected.

Air quality deteriorates.

Tourism can suffer.

And governments have to mobilize enormous firefighting resources.

For Morocco, there’s an obvious connection.

We’re part of the same Mediterranean climate zone, and extreme heat combined with dry vegetation can turn a small fire into a massive problem incredibly quickly.

So when you see these European fires…

Don’t just think:

« That’s Europe. »

Think:

« This is also a warning for the Mediterranean. »

Now let’s talk about young people and jobs.

Youth unemployment in North Africa has reached 22.6%, placing the region among the highest in the world.

And what’s particularly worrying is the gender gap.

Young women are facing an even tougher situation, with their unemployment rate rising faster than that of young men.

Globally, millions of young people are also completely disconnected from the job market, education and training.

And this is becoming one of the biggest economic challenges of the decade.

Because when you’re 22, 23 or 25 and can’t find your first serious job, the problem isn’t simply your CV.

It can mean years without experience.

Less income.

Delayed independence.

Difficulty finding housing.

And sometimes…

giving up entirely.

That’s why youth employment isn’t just an economic statistic.

It’s directly connected to the future of an entire generation.

And with AI changing entry-level jobs, governments and companies are facing an even bigger question:

How do we create opportunities for young people while the nature of work itself is changing?

And Morocco is trying to tackle one specific part of that problem.

Here’s the situation.

Imagine your household receives direct social assistance.

Then someone in the family finally gets a declared job.

Normally, that new income could make the household lose its eligibility for the assistance.

So you might think:

« Why would I take the job if I immediately lose the support? »

That’s exactly the trap Morocco is trying to eliminate.

A new mechanism introduces a temporary bonus for households that lose their direct social assistance because one of their members gets a declared job in the private sector.

The idea is simple:

Don’t punish people for going back to work.

Instead, give them a financial transition period.

The bonus can cover the equivalent of the previous assistance for a limited period, giving the household time to adapt to its new situation.

And that’s important because the objective isn’t just to distribute aid.

It’s also to encourage people to move toward formal employment.

The big question now is whether this will actually change people’s decisions in real life.

Because a policy can look great on paper…

But the real test is simple:

Will more people say yes to a declared job because of it?

And finally: Moroccan drivers, this one hurts.

Diesel prices are rising again.

Gasoil has reportedly reached around 14.95 DH per litre, while gasoline is around 14.94 DH.

Which means something pretty unusual has happened:

Diesel is now basically the same price as gasoline.

And that matters because diesel isn’t only used by private cars.

It’s heavily used for trucks, taxis, commercial vehicles and logistics.

So when diesel gets more expensive, the impact can potentially travel through the entire economy.

Transportation becomes more expensive.

Deliveries can cost more.

And eventually…

some of those costs can reach the products you buy.

The debate over fuel margins is also coming back, because every time prices change, the same question returns:

How much are international prices responsible, and how much comes from the structure of the Moroccan fuel market?

And for anyone driving every day…

You don’t need an economics degree to understand the problem.

You simply arrive at the station…

Look at the price…

And say:

« Again? »

That’s What’s Hot Today.

An earthquake entering its reconstruction phase.

Europe battling an enormous wildfire season.

A generation struggling to find work.

Morocco trying to make formal employment more attractive.

And diesel practically catching up with gasoline.

Five stories. One thing in common:

These aren’t just headlines happening somewhere far away.

They affect jobs, prices, climate, public policy and everyday life.

That’s What’s Hot Today.
