Some people can make anyone fall for them.
And then there’s Mona Kawai, who somehow found the one boy who refuses to be impressed.
The romantic comedy anime Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms is returning for Season 2, and a brand-new visual has been revealed.
The latest announcement, shared on October 28, gives fans another look at Mona ahead of the series’ return.
Remind me, what’s the anime about?
The story follows Mona Kawai, a popular high school girl who is used to getting attention wherever she goes.
She’s confident, charming and pretty convinced that nobody can resist her.
Then she meets Medaka Kuroiwa.
Unlike everyone else, Medaka seems completely uninterested in her.
And for Mona, that’s practically a personal challenge.
What starts as an attempt to make him fall for her slowly turns into a complicated romantic situation, filled with awkward moments, jealousy and unexpected feelings.
The anime is based on the manga by Ran Kuze, which began serialization in 2021.
What’s new for season 2?
The latest promotional visual puts Mona back in the spotlight.
A recap video has also been released, giving viewers a quick refresher on the first season’s biggest moments.
Animation studio SynergySP is returning for the sequel, with Yoshiaki Okumura back as director.
The original Japanese voice cast will also reprise their roles, including Yu Serizawa as Mona and Ryota Iwasaki as Medaka.
The new season is expected in January 2027.
For fans of romantic comedies where one character is desperately trying to get the other’s attention, Mona’s story isn’t finished yet.
And after an entire season of trying to make Medaka fall for her, there’s still one question.
Will she finally get the reaction she wants?
Or is she about to embarrass herself all over again?
