Another final. Another trophy. Another reminder that when it comes to African futsal, Morocco knows exactly what it’s doing.

The Atlas Lions have officially won their fourth consecutive Futsal Africa Cup of Nations title, defeating Angola 5–2 on Wednesday night in Rabat.

And yes, they did it at home.

Playing in front of Moroccan supporters at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex, Hicham Dguig’s team entered the final with one clear mission: continue a winning streak that began a decade ago.

But Angola wasn’t planning to make things easy.

After Othmane El Idrissi opened the scoring in the 17th minute, Angola responded almost immediately with an equalizer.

For a moment, the match was wide open.

Morocco quickly regained control through Youssef Jaouad, who restored the lead before halftime.

Then came the second-half takeover.

Idriss Raiss El Fenni, Ismail Amazal and Bilal Bakkali all found the net, taking Morocco’s tally to five.

Angola managed another goal late in the game, but the result was already beyond reach.

Four titles. One generation of dominance.

Morocco previously lifted the trophy in 2016, 2020 and 2024.

The latest victory makes the country the first team in the tournament’s history to claim four consecutive titles, moving ahead of Egypt in the record books.

And this wasn’t a title won by chance.

Morocco reached the final after defeating Egypt 6–0 in the semifinal, demonstrating the consistency that has defined the national team’s recent success.

Under Dguig, futsal has become one of Morocco’s strongest sporting success stories.

The football world might be watching Morocco’s preparations for the 2030 World Cup, but another national team has already delivered a historic achievement.

Four finals. Four trophies. And the celebration belongs to Morocco.
