Morocco is one match away from a fourth Futsal Afcon title

Morocco has another chance to make African football history, and this time it’s happening on the futsal court.

The Moroccan national futsal team faces Angola tonight, October 21, in the final of the 2026 CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations.

The match kicks off at 8 PM in Rabat, with Morocco looking to secure its fourth consecutive continental title.

And if the team’s performances so far are anything to go by, supporters have plenty of reasons to be excited.

Morocco reached the final after a dominant 6–0 victory over Egypt in Monday’s semifinal.

Bilal Bakkali, Ismail Amazal and Soufian Charraoui each scored twice, giving the home crowd another impressive result to celebrate.

Angola, meanwhile, earned its place in the final after coming from behind to defeat Algeria 3–2.

Same finalists. Same ambition?

If Morocco versus Angola sounds familiar, that’s because the two countries also faced each other in the 2024 Futsal AFCON final.

Morocco won that encounter to claim its third continental title.

Now, the Atlas Lions have the opportunity to add another trophy to their collection, while Angola will be hoping to win its first.

Under coach Hicham Dguig, Morocco has established itself as one of the strongest futsal teams in Africa.

But tonight’s final isn’t only about defending that reputation.

It’s also about performing in front of Moroccan supporters, handling the pressure of a decisive match and finishing the tournament with another title.

For anyone unfamiliar with futsal, think football played on a smaller indoor court, with five players per team, quick passing, close control and very little time to make decisions.

And tonight, Morocco will be playing for history.

Morocco vs Angola. Rabat. 8 PM. One trophy on the line.
