At this point, GTA 6 isn’t just preparing to take over gaming. Rockstar is coming for your playlists too.
The first six original songs connected to Grand Theft Auto VI have arrived, giving us an early taste of what we’ll be hearing while driving around Vice City ,and Rockstar clearly didn’t hold back on the contacts list.
The first batch brings together Travis Scott, PinkPantheress, Yung Lean, Future, Metro Boomin, Fred again.., Rauw Alejandro and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, among others. It’s a lineup that jumps between rap, electronic music, alternative pop and Latin sounds, which already tells us a lot about how wide Rockstar is going with the game’s musical universe.
One particularly wild detail is hiding in the credits. Travis Scott’s “RHYNO” was produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, one half of Daft Punk. So yes, technically, we’ve reached a point where Travis Scott, Daft Punk and Grand Theft Auto all exist in the same sentence.
And these six tracks are only the preview.
Rockstar says Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album will contain 34 original songs, meaning there’s still a lot of the lineup we haven’t heard yet. That’s also separate from the broader radio experience players traditionally get inside GTA games, where licensed music and fictional stations are a huge part of exploring the world.
Music has always been part of GTA’s identity. You don’t just remember the missions; you remember accidentally spending 40 minutes driving around because the radio was too good to turn off.
With GTA 6, Rockstar seems determined to make that part of the experience even bigger.
We haven’t even reached Vice City yet and people are already fighting over the aux.
