RAYE’s single with her sisters just went No.1. Yes, it’s a family affair

Imagine your sister asking you to make a song together and suddenly you’re holding a No. 1 record.

RAYE’s latest single “Joy.”, featuring her sisters AMMA and Absolutely, has debuted at No. 1 on both the UK’s Official Physical Singles and Official Vinyl Singles charts.

For RAYE, it’s her third No. 1 on both rankings.

For her sisters?Their first.

Casual family achievement.

The gospel and disco-tinged track comes from RAYE’s No. 1 album THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE. and has become a standout part of her live shows, with all three sisters getting their own verses.

And the whole rollout has been aggressively wholesome.

For the “Joy.” video, RAYE, AMMA and Absolutely drove around London in a van called the Joymobile, handing strangers sunflowers and attempting to make as many people smile as possible.

Yes, there was literally a smile counter.

Clips from the shoot had already circulated across TikTok and Instagram before the full video arrived.

The vinyl release has now given the song another boost: “Joy.” also climbed to a new No. 3 peak on the Official Singles Sales chart.

And because apparently one successful song isn’t enough for this family, RAYE’s other tracks have also been climbing back onto UK sales rankings.

Nepotism? Technically yes.

But when the nepo babies are literally your own sisters and everybody can sing, we’ll allow the family group project.
