What happens when an alien creature lands near an isolated Korean village and suddenly, all communication with the outside world is cut off?
That’s the setup for Hope, the new sci-fi thriller from Na Hong-jin, the director behind The Wailing and The Chaser. The 160-minute film follows villagers who are forced to defend themselves while others head into the mountains to hunt the mysterious creature ,only to become its targets.
And the cast is stacked: Hoyeon, Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung and Taylor Russell all appear in the film.
After premiering in competition at Cannes 2026, Hope is set to arrive in Moroccan cinemas on October 28, with screenings planned in Casablanca and Rabat.
