Elon Musk Just Got His Own 4-Hour Cinematic Universe

stache lifstyle

Yes. Four hours. About Elon Musk. And the trailer is already causing a stir.

A new documentary simply called Musk is premiering today at the Venice Film Festival — and it is not exactly a fan edit.

Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney, the documentary goes deep into Musk’s rise, from Tesla and SpaceX to his growing influence over technology, business and politics.

And the runtime?

225 minutes plus a 10-minute intermission.

That’s 3 hours and 45 minutes of Elon Musk.

And the trailer is WILD

The teaser starts by presenting Musk as a visionary , with descriptions like “the real-life Iron Man” and one of the greatest inventors alive.

Then the tone completely changes.

The trailer moves toward accusations of unchecked power, narcissism and a voice describing Musk as “a man who has lost his mind.”

Musk himself did not participate in the documentary, and has previously dismissed the project as a “hit piece.”

Why is everyone talking about it?

Because this isn’t just another celebrity documentary.

Musk is one of the most recognizable and controversial figures on the internet : Tesla, SpaceX, X, AI, memes, politics, billionaires…

So the real question isn’t just “Is the documentary good?”

It’s:

“Can you watch almost four hours of Elon Musk without checking your phone?”

The documentary will be released theatrically in the U.S. on October 16, with a longer version planned for HBO in 2027.
