Released on September 4, the track is the first taste of Lisa’s upcoming EP PRESS PLAY, arriving October 23. And this time, she’s leaning hard into her rap and hip-hop roots, while putting her Thai identity front and center. The title itself comes from the Thai greeting “sawatdee ka,” meaning “hello.”
The music video was filmed in Bangkok, bringing Thai culture and visuals into Lisa’s new era — and clearly, the internet is watching.
And the timing is interesting: Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo have all dropped solo music within days of each other, turning BLACKPINK’s members into a mini chart battle of their own.
