Harry Potter is officially returning, but this time as a TV series on HBO.
The new adaptation will feature a completely new cast, including Dominic McLaughlin as Harry, Arabella Stanton as Hermione and Alastair Stout as Ron. The first season will focus on Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and is set to premiere on December 25, 2026.
The big question? Can the new trio live up to Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint?
HBO says the series will have more time to explore the original books than the movies did, with the plan to adapt one book per season.
