The Elden Ring Movie Just Leaked… And Fans Think Its Most Disturbing Character Is Officially Confirmed

The first photos from the Elden Ring movie set are here…

And they may have revealed something nobody expected.

Not the main hero.

Not a legendary boss.

But one of the most horrifying characters in the entire game.

As filming for A24’s live-action adaptation gets underway in the UK, leaked set photos have uncovered props labeled « Stormveil », « Leyndell Streets », and decorations inspired by Raya Lucaria Academy—showing that the movie will recreate some of the game’s most iconic locations using massive practical sets instead of relying entirely on CGI.

But one image has everyone talking.

A gallows that looks almost identical to the one seen in Elden Ring’s opening cinematic.

Why does that matter?

Because it’s where the Loathsome Dung Eater—arguably the game’s most grotesque and disturbing NPC—is first introduced. While A24 hasn’t confirmed his appearance, many fans believe the matching set piece strongly hints that he’ll be part of the film.

The leaks also revealed a faithful recreation of the Church of Marika, complete with the iconic statue of Queen Marika, suggesting Alex Garland’s adaptation is staying remarkably close to FromSoftware’s world and lore.

With filming now in full swing, expectations are only getting higher.

If these practical sets are anything to go by…

The Lands Between could become one of the most visually ambitious video game adaptations ever made.

The real question is…

Should the movie stay completely faithful to Elden Ring’s bizarre and disturbing world… or make it more accessible for newcomers?
