Rabat is entering a new era of urban security.
The DGSN has officially inaugurated its new Command and Coordination Center 2.0, a high-tech hub connected to more than 1,400 high-definition surveillance cameras deployed across the Moroccan capital. The goal: manage emergencies, road traffic and police operations in real time from a single location.

The new control center is much more than a surveillance room.
It centralizes:
Every emergency call is instantly logged, analyzed and dispatched to the appropriate police units, allowing operators to track each intervention from the first phone call until the incident is resolved.
──────────
Behind the scenes, the platform relies on a modern Data Center built to the latest cybersecurity standards.
This infrastructure stores and processes massive amounts of information in real time while supporting criminal investigations, traffic management and public safety operations. Authorities say the system also complies with Morocco’s legal framework on personal data protection.
──────────
Another key feature is its crisis management center.
During major emergencies, public events or exceptional situations, the platform can coordinate different security services through a unified command system connected to the DGSN’s communication and operational databases.
──────────
This isn’t entirely new.
Rabat was already the first Moroccan city to launch a police command center back in 2016.
But after a complete modernization in 2026, the facility has evolved into a fully digital « 2.0 » command center, integrating smart surveillance, connected communications and data-driven decision-making.

The project reflects Morocco’s broader strategy to modernize public security through digital technologies.
With intelligent traffic management, real-time monitoring and faster emergency coordination, Rabat is positioning itself among the region’s most technologically advanced cities in terms of urban security.

From smart cameras to real-time crisis management, Rabat’s new Command Center 2.0 marks a major step toward a more connected, data-driven and responsive approach to public safety.
