The wait is over.

Capcom has officially confirmed that Resident Evil: Veronica is coming in 2027, putting an end to months of rumors surrounding one of the franchise’s most anticipated remakes.

──────────

The remake will launch on:

PlayStation 5

Xbox Series X|S

PC

Nintendo Switch 2

This means every current-generation platform—including Nintendo’s newest console—will receive the game.

──────────

Unlike the original Code: Veronica, Capcom is rebuilding the experience with the RE Engine and adopting the now-iconic over-the-shoulder third-person camera, just like the acclaimed remakes of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4.

──────────

Players will once again follow Claire Redfield as she searches for her brother Chris Redfield, beginning on the infamous Rockfort Island before uncovering one of the darkest chapters in Resident Evil history.

──────────

Capcom hasn’t revealed an exact release date yet…

But one thing is clear:

2027 is officially locked in, making Resident Evil: Veronica one of the company’s biggest upcoming projects after the success of Resident Evil Requiem.

──────────

For years…

Fans begged Capcom to remake Code: Veronica.

Now it’s finally happening.

And in 2027, one of Resident Evil’s most beloved classics is getting a second life for a whole new generation.
