The battle for GTA 6 is heating up…
And this time, PlayStation has scored a major win before the game has even launched.
──────────
Rockstar’s latest marketing campaign repeatedly highlights one message:
« Plays Best on PS5. »
The slogan appears in official promotional material for Grand Theft Auto VI, reinforcing Sony’s close marketing partnership with Rockstar.
──────────
What’s even more surprising…
Some of Rockstar’s newest ads focus exclusively on the PlayStation 5, with Xbox not being mentioned at all.
That doesn’t mean GTA 6 is exclusive to PlayStation—it still launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
But from a marketing standpoint, Sony clearly has the spotlight.
──────────
Why does this matter?
For millions of casual players, marketing shapes perception.
When people constantly see GTA 6 alongside the PS5 logo, many naturally associate the game with Sony’s console—even though the gameplay experience is expected to be very similar on Xbox Series X.
──────────
Sony is also promoting PS5-exclusive features like the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, giving PlayStation another talking point in the race for GTA 6 players.
──────────
Xbox, however, isn’t backing down.
Microsoft says GTA 6 pre-orders on Xbox remain strong and has rejected rumors claiming PlayStation is massively outselling the Series X|S versions.
──────────
At the end of the day…
GTA 6 is still coming to both consoles on the same day.
But when it comes to marketing…
Rockstar has made one thing very clear: PlayStation is leading the conversation long before players ever set foot in Vice City.
