Casablanca is once again preparing to become a stage for young artistic talent from around the world.
From July 4 to July 9, the city will host the 38th edition of the International University Theatre Festival
of Casablanca (FITUC), one of the oldest university theatre festivals on the international scene.
─────────
Held under the theme of dialogue between Euro-African-Atlantic-Mediterranean youth, this year’s festival
aims to strengthen cultural exchange through theatre, creativity and artistic collaboration.
─────────
University theatre companies and artistic institutions from Italy, Spain, Armenia, Egypt, Tunisia, Palestine and
Morocco will take part in the event, showcasing performances that reflect diverse cultures and perspectives.
─────────
Beyond the stage performances, the festival will feature masterclasses, training workshops, scientific conferences
and panel discussions, offering students and young artists the opportunity to learn from internationally recognized theatre professionals.
─────────
An international jury will evaluate the competing productions, while several personalities from the worlds
of theatre, culture and media will be honored for their contributions to the performing arts.
─────────
Hosted across several theatres and cultural venues throughout Casablanca, FITUC continues to position the city
as a meeting point for artistic innovation, intercultural dialogue and the next generation of performers.
─────────
One thing is clear.
For nearly four decades, FITUC has proven that theatre remains a universal language capable of bringing cultures together.
