Casablanca didn’t wake up to traffic this Sunday.

It woke up to runners.

Thousands of them.

More than 5,000 participants took to the streets for the 10th edition of the Casablanca International Half Marathon, confirming the growing popularity of road running in Morocco.

Athletes from all levels lined up for two events:

The 21.1 km Half Marathon

The 10 km Race

Both routes crossed some of Casablanca’s most iconic streets, turning the city into one giant running track for the day.

The competition delivered impressive performances.

In the half marathon, Tahir Atik claimed victory in the men’s race, while Maroua Chiheb crossed the finish line first in the women’s event.

In the 10 km race, Tarik Ammari and Hiba Ansari took the top spots.

But beyond the podium…

The biggest victory was the turnout.

Every year, more Moroccans are embracing running—not just as a sport, but as a lifestyle.

From seasoned athletes to first-time runners, the event highlighted a growing culture of fitness, community and perseverance.

The 10th edition wasn’t just another race.

It was proof that sport has the power to bring an entire city together.

One finish line.

Thousands of personal victories.

But here’s the real question…

Would you challenge yourself to run a half marathon… or would you start with the 10K?
