For one night…
Casablanca became one giant open-air gallery.
No concert.
No movie premiere.
Just photography.
And thousands of people came to experience it.
─────────
As part of the 5th Night of Museums and Cultural Spaces, museums, galleries and cultural venues across the city opened their doors for free, celebrating 200 years since the invention of photography.
─────────
But the biggest highlight of the evening…
Was the inauguration of Casablanca’s new Museum of Photography and Visual Arts.
Designed by world-renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando, the museum opened with an exhibition dedicated entirely to Casablanca and its people.
Not through history books…
But through the lens of nearly 50 photographers.
─────────
The exhibition, simply called « CASA, » tells the story of the city through its streets, its architecture, its neighborhoods and, above all…
Its people.
From everyday life…
To forgotten memories…
Every photograph captures a different side of Morocco’s largest city.
─────────
The event also brought together galleries, artists and first-time visitors.
Many people discovered contemporary photography for the very first time, proving that art doesn’t have to stay inside museums…
It can belong to everyone.
─────────
Because that’s the power of photography.
It doesn’t just capture a moment.
It preserves emotions.
Tells stories.
And allows future generations to see the world through someone else’s eyes.
─────────
For one evening…
Casablanca wasn’t just a city.
It became a gallery.
And every street had a story to tell.
─────────
But here’s the real question…
If you could capture just one moment of your life in a single photograph… which moment would you choose?
