As sustainability becomes a strategic priority for organizations worldwide, HEC Paris and
Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) have joined forces to launch a new certification program focused on ESG transformation.
Developed at the initiative of Morocco’s National Agency for the Strategic Management of State
Holdings and Performance Monitoring of Public Enterprises (ANGSPE), the program aims tohelp public-sector
leaders integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into decision-making and long-term performance strategies.

In a context where Morocco is accelerating its sustainable transition and climate commitments…
the certification combines academic expertise from HEC Paris and UM6P with a practical approach to
ESG implementation across public institutions and state-owned enterprises. Participants attend training
sessions in both Morocco and France, with the program culminating in a joint certification from the two institutions in September 2026.

The curriculum covers key topics such as climate strategy, decarbonization, sustainable finance,
governance, impact investing, ESG reporting, and risk management.
Designed to move beyond theory, the program focuses on helping participants translate sustainability
commitments into concrete actions and measurable performance outcomes.

One thing is clear: as ESG standards become increasingly central to economic development,
Morocco is investing in the skills and leadership needed to drive a more sustainable future.
