As Morocco accelerates its transition toward a greener economy…
many small and medium-sized businesses still struggle to access the funding available for sustainable projects.
─────────
To address this challenge, Enactus Morocco and SPARK, through the EU-funded Green Forward program,
are training entrepreneurship support organizations to better guide SMEs toward green financing opportunities.
─────────
The initiative focuses on a key issue: the problem is often not the lack of funding, but the difficulty
many businesses face in presenting projects that meet the requirements of banks, investors, and international donors.
─────────
As part of the program, an intensive workshop will be held in Casablanca on July 7, 2026,
covering green loans, grants, impact funds, co-financing mechanisms, and the preparation of investment-ready business cases.
─────────
The training is aimed at incubators, startup support organizations, cooperatives, and entrepreneurship hubs across Morocco,
with the goal of strengthening the country’s green entrepreneurship ecosystem.
─────────
The initiative comes as Morocco continues to expand its sustainable development strategy and
increase support for environmentally focused businesses, while seeking to improve access to green finance for SMEs.
