007 First Light Gets a New Update: Here’s Everything That Changed

tech

Just days after launch, 007 First Light has already received a new update.

And while players were hoping for new content, the developers at IO Interactive have focused on something just as important:

Fixing some of the game’s most frustrating bugs.

─────────

The biggest fixes target progression blockers.

Several players reported getting stuck during Chapter 9, « Wave of the Future », due to bugs that prevented certain objectives and events from triggering correctly.

The new update resolves these issues, allowing missions and opportunities to progress normally.

─────────

The patch also fixes a number of gameplay glitches.

According to the official patch notes, some combat situations could cause characters to slide across the map, float in the air, or clip through environments after specific attacks or item throws.

Those issues have now been addressed.

─────────

Another important fix concerns one of the game’s boss encounters.

Players reported that explosive pipes during a late-game mission weren’t reacting properly to the Missile Pen gadget, making certain strategies impossible.

The update restores the intended behavior.

─────────

This comes shortly after Patch 1.0.1, which already fixed several crashes, cutscene issues, broken NPC behavior, and pathfinding problems that could cause characters to disappear or walk through walls.

─────────

The good news?

There are still no major reports of performance downgrades.

In fact, most of the recent updates have focused on improving stability and polishing the overall experience rather than changing gameplay mechanics.

─────────

And that’s probably a smart move.

Because despite some launch issues, 007 First Light has quickly become one of the biggest gaming releases of the year, earning praise for its stealth mechanics, cinematic presentation, and its fresh take on James Bond’s origin story.

─────────

One thing is certain.

IO Interactive isn’t wasting any time supporting its newest blockbuster.

And if the first two patches arrived this quickly, players can probably expect even bigger updates in the weeks ahead.

─────────

The real question is: if IO Interactive is fixing bugs this fast, what major features, missions, or surprises could be waiting in the game’s first big content update?
