At first glance, it looks simple: well-dressed young men, clean haircuts, classic outfits, and short motivational clips about discipline, self-respect, and personal growth. But behind the aesthetic, there’s a deeper cultural shift happening among many men aged 18 to 25.

The concept of the “Young Gentleman” mixes several online influences. It draws inspiration from classic elegance — tailored suits, watches, and polished style — but also from modern self-improvement culture: gym routines, reading habits, financial independence, and mental discipline.

The aesthetic itself is also influenced by creators such as Hamza Ahmed, whose videos on masculinity, discipline, and personal development have accumulated millions of views on YouTube and inspired an entire generation of young men to adopt stricter routines.

In Morocco specifically, the trend is visible in short videos showing young men waking up early, working out, studying, dressing sharply, and promoting the idea of becoming more focused and respected.

For some observers, this movement represents a positive shift. It encourages discipline, self-respect, and healthier lifestyles in a generation often criticized for spending too much time online.

But others warn that parts of the trend can sometimes promote unrealistic standards or a hyper-competitive version of masculinity.

Still, one thing is clear: across TikTok and Instagram feeds in Morocco, the Young Gentleman aesthetic is growing fast.
